Room 509 had an overwhelming bleach/disinfectant smell as soon as I opened the door, I almost thought I'd get chlorine poisoning. Please, when it comes to cleaning, can you think about the next guest? There are plenty of less pungent cleaning products on the market! Also, showering in the tub is fine, but the diverter valve to switch to the showerhead is incredibly hard to pull up. Every time you turn off the water and turn it back on, it reverts to the faucet. It's impossible to pull the diverter up to switch back to the showerhead when your hands are soapy, especially when you're in the middle of washing your hair, face, or body and need to turn the water off and on again. Try showering yourself and turning the water off mid-shower. Furthermore, the bottom of the tub is super slippery and there are no handrails. It's only a matter of time before a guest slips and gets seriously hurt.

Best local hotel so far in the whole Taiwan! Kudos to the breakfast spread and also overall friendly atmosphere in the hotel! Will consider to stay there again next time in Tainan!

The front desk was served by young ladies, all were very courteous and helpful. They did make sure that you had a pleasant stay. As for hardware, the room was basic but clean. The room was bigger in size than what we expected. Toiletry supplies are limited.

This hotel has a pretty good location; you can walk directly from Tainan Station, it's not far at all. The staff here are very kind and lovely. There are complimentary snacks available for all guests in the lobby on the first floor. The staff provided excellent recommendations for everything, including detailed instructions on house rules, how to use the room, and how to operate the hot and cold water system in the room. The bedroom size is just right, and there's a TV. The area around the hotel is a bustling community with many shops. If I have the chance to visit Tainan again, I would definitely stay here. It's really great, highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to Tainan!

Great place to stay in Tainan. Super close to the train station. Lovely quiet room at the end of the corridor overlooking the (empty) swimming pool. Friendly service, and a nice touch with snacks available at 9pm. The hotel is older (still need a physical key to unlock the room door) but it's in great condition. We didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food or restaurant. We thought it was very reasonably priced for our Sunday night stay and would happily book again.

My first impression was that it was ”old school”, with a traditional sense of luxury that comes from an overwhelming Lobby & Reception, large comfortable Elevator lobbies etc. I also appreciate the great service from the staff who brought us extra coffee creamer, to housekeeping who straightened up my mess. Concierge was very attentive, she checked our taxi after we've alighted, to ensure that nothing was left behind. Its this attention to detail that I find rare these days, and therefore its left a deep impression on me. If I were to point out any shortcoming, it would be that the lighting design of the hotel needs a refresh. Some newer lights, aroma/scented corridors, and background music would help. (oops.. occupational hazard...).

This hotel is super close to the train station, literally right across the street, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. There's also a bus stop right downstairs, which is great. My only minor complaint is that the soundproofing isn't the best; I could hear people playing mahjong or cards. Still, the fantastic location for getting around definitely makes up for it. I really liked my stay overall.

The hotel lobby is quite stylish and spacious, and the staff are very friendly. We stayed in a triple room, and the keyless entry (password lock) was convenient for all of us. The room size was good, though the hanging space for clothes was a bit small and inconveniently located above where you'd place cups and bottles. The bathroom was roomy but lacked hooks for clothes. Soundproofing was just average, and the room lighting was a bit dim. A big plus was the modern hairdryer – it dried hair really fast! The self-service drink machine and snack cabinet in the lobby were also a nice touch; although the snacks were a bit sweet, the unlimited access was satisfying.

Because I chose an accommodation near the train station for a business trip to the city, I didn't expect to collect the inn under ”Travel Happiness” again. The old house was renovated with industrial elements to create a warm accommodation atmosphere. The receptionists at the counter were kind and friendly, and they patiently responded to the guests' questions. That night, the air-conditioning in the room was not cold, and their positive handling attitude must be affirmed. The layouts of different rooms are slightly different, with a clean and comfortable environment, separate wet and dry bathrooms, a variety of smart TV programs, external windows, desks and wardrobes, and a small safe. The most commendable thing is that they provide a spacious escape ladder in order to increase the area of ​​the room, which is great. In addition to receiving guests, the lobby on the first floor is also a coffee shop open to the public. Guests can enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free discount. I ordered a cup of flat white coffee, which tasted good and had beautiful latte art. It seemed a bit of a miscalculation not to order dessert at the time. The area is very well-equipped with facilities such as two department stores and plenty of alley snacks, making it a great place for those who are visiting the city for travel or business.

A bit far from the city center, but the room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The bathroom was also large and came with a bathtub. However, the bathroom felt like a sauna, possibly due to the afternoon sun, a stark contrast to the room's temperature.
