Guest UserI absolutely loved the hotel's natural environment. We saw a family of dusky leaf monkeys near our room's balcony, as well as large black squirrels. Hummingbirds frequently visited the balcony garden, and we even spotted greater racket-tailed drongos flying by. On our way back to the room after breakfast, we saw a lizard busily eating in a tree hollow. By the pool, we observed a family of oriental pied hornbills. We were even lucky enough to spot a family of wreathed hornbills on our way to the Thai restaurant. The scenery near the Thai restaurant is beautiful, and we saw white-bellied sea eagles catching fish and brahminy kites soaring over the sea. We joined the hotel's night walk and, led by our guide, saw a mother colugo with her baby, some gliding from tree to tree. We also saw fruit bats, scorpions, dusky leaf monkeys, squirrels, Tokay geckos, oriental pied hornbills, and more. The guide gave us detailed explanations of their habits, which was fascinating. The next morning, we went birdwatching and encountered the same guide. He actually remembered that we really wanted to find a Draco lizard yesterday and asked if we had found one. With his help, we finally found this flying lizard! We are so grateful to him!

Anonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, about a 20-minute drive. Cenang Beach offers beautiful sunsets, and the sand is quite fine, which the kids absolutely loved. The children's pool is very kid-friendly, perfect for playing with balls and splashing around. The hotel restaurant is also good; both breakfast and à la carte dishes tasted great, and the little ones enjoyed them. The room was standard, and the cleanliness was acceptable. What truly made it stand out was the stunning sea view, with twice-daily cleaning and replenishment service.

Anonymous UserHad a wonderful stay at Riyaz Lavanya! The team went above and beyond to accommodate birthday and anniversary celebration, which made the experience feel extra special and memorable.
The room and especially the bathroom were in pristine condition as everything was spotless and well-maintained. The view was absolutely breathtaking and easily one of the best parts of the stay. Waking up to such a perfect view every day was truly a treat.
Breakfast was also enjoyable, with a good variety of options to start the day. The location is excellent as well, making it easy and convenient to get around and explore the area.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. If I visit again in the future, I would definitely choose Riyaz Lavanya without hesitation. Highly recommended!

The resort view is very beautiful, lots of nature around. Even though a shelly beach, the private beach is a big plus. Been visiting for 11 nights, if you need something (amenities, meal wise), just ask, the professional staff will deliver. Tide pool unfortunately was out of service, but renovations started before we left. Big swimming pool awesome, kids pool awesome! Just check sharp corners of broken tiles.
Assume due to humid warm weather, mould on the outside of walls and doors is an issue, but still not nice to see that no effort was made to wipe it off throughout our 11 night stay.
For all activities (mangrove forest tour, island hopping, cable car and the sky bridge etc), easy to organize via reception or private tour companies (do your homework, can get the experiences for cheaper).
Breakfast very diverse and yummie!
Kids playroom needs a thorough clean, lots of human hair lying around. Gym well set up with lots of equipment, reminder there is a jacuzzi and sauna free of charge to utilize.
Overall thank you once again for all the professionalism from reception staff, room cleaning services, restaurant staff, buggy drivers, kids club staff and the regular checkins by staff like Justin for making our home away from home stay very enjoyable! Hope to return soon in the future!

YaoyaobabaAfter arriving at Langkawi Airport, it only took about ten minutes to drive to the hotel, which was much closer than I expected. I was initially worried that being so close to the airport would mean noise, but I slept soundly every night and wasn't bothered by planes at all. The lobby is spacious and grand. There are two restaurants, Chinese and Western, located next to each other. The Western restaurant offers excellent sea views, and the Chinese restaurant has a wide variety of dishes. There are two swimming pools, and my kids loved them so much they spent half the day just splashing around. The hotel also has a private beach with fine, white sand that's very comfortable to walk on barefoot. The seawater is clear, and you can see small shells during low tide. The rooms are in two-story buildings, with four units per building, offering plenty of space and all the necessary amenities. If you need a buggy to get around the resort, you just call, and they respond quickly; the car arrives in about 5 minutes. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, perfect for families with children.

The hotel is well-maintained, and the breakfast is consistently good! The fishing trip was a lot of fun, caught plenty of fish. However, I'd recommend booking the mangrove tour elsewhere (the hotel's mangrove tour didn't feature any bats). The beach is very clean, but there aren't many small creatures (like hermit crabs...). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Choosing this hotel for our anniversary was definitely the right decision. All in all, it truly is one of Langkawi's top hotels.

The staff's attitude was generally good. Turndown service was provided in the evening, and there were welcome fruits. Since it was the Easter holiday, they even specially gifted chocolates shaped like bunnies and Easter eggs, along with a handwritten card which felt very ceremonial! The only area for improvement would be the restaurant's food, as the breakfast selection was quite limited.

DAPHE WONGOverall, it was pretty good, but I wasn't entirely satisfied with the service. When I first checked in, everything in the room was fine. However, after the room was cleaned on the second day, none of the complimentary drinks or snacks were refilled. They also didn't replace the toothbrush I had thrown away; instead, they retrieved it from the trash and put it back in its place 🤦♀️. The hotel provided a fruit platter, but on the second day, they took away the knife, so I could only stare at the fruit.
They have a Western restaurant with sunset views. When I asked, they recommended it for watching the sunset, but mentioned I needed to book a table in advance. Later that evening, the weather wasn't great – it was cloudy. I figured even if there was no sunset, I could at least enjoy the sea view. But when I got there, I was very disappointed. Not only was there no sunset, but there was no view at all. I was just sitting inside watching the staff bustling around. Afterward, I requested to change tables, and I was grudgingly given a spot where I could see just a tiny bit of the sea.

Artem Aleksandrovich MaslovThe hotel is simply magnificent. The view from the room is splendid, the staff are friendly, and the room is clean with thoughtful amenities for a comfortable stay. The beach is excellent, and it's great that the hotel staff clean it every morning, as waves can bring in debris. The sea is wonderful, calm with no significant waves, perfect for a relaxing swim. The hotel also has two pools, suitable for children. The breakfasts are fantastic. We booked a room with a sea view, and the view is indeed impressive. What could be improved: installing YouTube on the TV. Overall, my impressions of the hotel stay are only positive :)

The hotel environment is excellent, with its own private beach and a large swimming pool. The architecture is unique, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, though some minor details could be improved. Its location is a bit secluded, but it's not far from the airport and very close to Oriental Village and the Panorama Langkawi. There aren't many dining options around the hotel, but I tried all three main restaurants and highly recommend the Italian one. The breakfast buffet was a bit unremarkable, but the à la carte menu was fantastic. I highly recommend trying the pancakes, waffles, eggs Benedict, and Roti Canai from the à la carte. They also have a great selection of coffee; I recommend the Flat White and Latte! Oh, and don't forget to take a walk on the beach at night and look up at the incredible starry sky!
