The bed was clean and comfortable, but there was no air conditioning or electric blanket, so it felt quite cold. The bathroom was dry and very clean. The host was super friendly and even helped me fix my glasses when they broke. Highly recommended for solo travellers.

It's 2 AM, and I can't sleep after writing this review in the courtyard, so I just got up and sat here. The night in Liuxing Street is so quiet, with only occasional dog barks and distant lights. The moon hangs above the apple tree. I've stayed at this hostel for three days and will be leaving tomorrow. There are some things I want to write down before I forget. First, let's talk about hygiene. I have a peculiar habit: the first thing I do when entering a room is to feel the tabletop and windowsill. And truly, it was spotless. The floor is wood-grain tile, and walking barefoot on it felt perfectly clean. The bedding was freshly changed and smelled warm, like it had been sun-dried. There wasn't a single hair on the public restroom floor, and the trash cans weren't emptied only when overflowing. What touched me most was that the cups in the wash area were placed upside down in a sterilizer cabinet, for guests to use. Yes, a sterilizer cabinet. Location: It's in an alley in Liuxing Street, but very easy to find. Turn right out of the door, and a small alley leads directly to the main street. To the left is an old residential area, perfect for aimless wandering. It's about seven or eight minutes' walk to the Alexander Accordion Museum and also to the famous ice cream shop. If you, like me, enjoy walking and exploring small alleys, this place is a paradise. There are three bus stops nearby, making it convenient to go to Kaxgar and Hanren Street. Service: The front desk staff was a girl with a ponytail, and her voice was soft. It was drizzling when I arrived on the first day, and she handed me a dry towel to wipe my hair. When I came back late at night, I found a message on the small blackboard at the entrance: 'There's yogurt in the fridge, help yourself.' I thought it was for a fee, but when I asked the next day, she smiled and said, 'It's free, we worry you might get overheated in this weather.' When I left, I forgot my power bank, and she chased me down two alleys. Facilities: The beds are incredibly stable; the bunk beds don't wobble. Each bunk has a curtain, a light, two power outlets, and a small shelf, perfect for a phone and glasses. The common area has a water dispenser (with both hot and cold water), a microwave, a refrigerator, and a toaster. There's also a washing machine that can be used by scanning a QR code. The most pleasant surprise was a small bookshelf with not many books, but a few picture books about Ali, which made me want to visit Mount Kailash as I flipped through them. Atmosphere: Unlike some hostels that deliberately force social interaction, the atmosphere here is very natural. In the evening, someone played the Dombra in the courtyard, while others just listened quietly. There was an older gentleman who had just returned from a pilgrimage, his feet still swollen, sitting on the steps drinking sweet tea, and no one disturbed him. Occasionally, people would strike up a conversation, also in soft voices. I'm sitting in the courtyard now, and the evening breeze is a little cool. The moon is bright, and I can see the shadows of the clouds. I'll probably feel a bit reluctant to leave tomorrow. But it's okay; I know I'll be back. The night of Liuxing Street, the dream of Mount Kailash, and the gentleness of this little courtyard all remind me why I'm always on the road.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and went out of her way to help us with so much! It was truly heartwarming to experience such kindness, especially while being away from home. The fact that they are pet-friendly is a huge bonus! And the mattress was incredibly comfortable. We ended up staying for a total of 5 days and had a truly wonderful time!

Good hostel, very social for chinese youth. They have nice common areas with pool, ping pong and lot of tables and seats. Beds are huge and comfy, very nice! People do stay up late so maybe don't expect a very quiet environment if you are a light sleeper. But location is close to railways station and walkable to many small stores and also a bigger supermaket. The area is beautiful, very nice for sunset and the terrace is huge and you can wash your clothes and just chill there on the top. The washing machine I think it is reserved only for the hostel, but it's ok. The staff was nice, especially the young boy who spoke good english and he was super helpful, patient. The inly thing I did not appreciate was the fact that you had to put on your bedsheets, I mean this is quite common in china, but for the price I think I should not be requiered to do this. Wifi was strong on all the floors exept the terrace and toiletries were provided. Showers were plenty, clean and nice with hit water. All in all it was a very positive experience.

Highly recommend this hotel! It's on a really high floor with massive panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an incredibly expansive view. The room gets amazing natural light during the day, and at night, you can sit by the window and take in the city skyline – the atmosphere is just perfect. The location is absolutely fantastic, super close to the train station, just a few minutes' walk away. It's incredibly convenient for catching high-speed trains, so you don't have to wake up early or rush with your luggage. The room itself is clean and tidy, and the environment is quiet, not noisy at all. My stay was a perfect 10, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town!

I'd like to highlight the pros of this hotel from several aspects: 1. **Great Value:** The price is affordable, offering excellent value for money. 2. **Prime Location:** It's very close to attractions, just 50 meters from the west entrance of Kashgar Old City and a mere 150 meters to the famous Century-Old Teahouse – incredibly convenient. 3. **Excellent Transportation:** Getting around is easy. A ride-share from the airport costs only 15 yuan. If taking public transport from the airport, you can catch bus No. 2 to Sizhong Bus Station, then transfer to bus No. 6 or No. 20 and get off at China Telecom Station. From there, turn left and walk back about 100 meters to reach the hotel at Kumudaiwazha Road No. 76. If coming from the train station, take bus No. 20 to China Telecom Station, cross the pedestrian bridge, and you'll find the hotel at Kumudaiwazha Road No. 76. 4. **Dining & Amenities:** There are many local ethnic restaurants surrounding the inn; you just need to walk downstairs. A notable perk is the abundance of fruit vendors below the inn, selling fresh and inexpensive fruit. 5. **Facilities & Environment:** The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with a pleasant environment. The staff's service is particularly outstanding. If I ever visit Kashgar again, I will definitely stay here! And I'll certainly recommend it to any friends visiting Kashgar!

This time I was very satisfied with the object's business trip! The location is very close to the place of work and can be reached on foot. The room was clean and quiet, the bedding was comfortable and the rest was good at night. Although breakfast is not included, there are convenience stores and breakfast shops downstairs, which is very convenient for shopping. The service is also very intimate, the check-out speed is fast, and I will choose here next time I travel!

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

GGuest UserI broke my leg, and every single person at this hotel—the lovely ladies at the front desk, the handsome young men, the uncle who's an excellent driver, and the kind cleaning aunties—was incredibly wonderful and responsible. They helped me with my luggage, pushed my wheelchair, and even heated up my food. Every thoughtful gesture was evident in the details, making me feel incredibly warm and cared for while traveling alone. I originally thought, after breaking my leg on my first day of skiing at Genjun Mountain, that I wouldn't come back. But because of everyone at this hotel, I will definitely bring my friends here again! I sincerely recommend everyone stay at this hotel. It's clean, comfortable, warm, and offers 100% friendly service. Happy New Year! I wish the owner a prosperous business and everyone good health and success~

GGuest UserGood reviews! The location of the hotel is amazing. You can see the magnificent Pamir Plateau scenery of Tashkurgan County as soon as you go out. In the morning, when you open the window, the sun shines on the top of the continuous snow-capped mountains. The picture is so beautiful that it is suffocating. Here, you can enjoy the unique natural scenery of Tashkurgan County while lying in bed. This experience is great!

GGuest UserThe entire place was impeccably clean, and housekeeping tidied our room daily. The bedding was soft, clean, and odor-free. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was plenty of hot water available 24/7, making for a really great shower experience. Definitely worth a stay.

GGuest UserHostel is about 5 - 7 minutes away from the ”Sports Centre” metro station, which is about 25+ minutes from the airport. The hostel entrance is next to the Tesla shop, and you have to press the buzzer, for the security guard to open the gate for you. Then, after writing your name down in the guest-book, you go up to the 10th floor in the lift. (Check the other reviews here, for a picture of the gate/door to the building) The staff speak little to no English, but they are very helpful. They will try to solve your issues, as long as you patient with the translation software. Also, it is difficult for staff to check you in, if you do not have a contact number or Alipay/Wechat contact. (This is a CN Govt requirement) The dorm rooms are basic and you may get the city views. There are no privacy curtains and there was no air-con, in my one. The hostel staff can provide fans, but we did not need any, as it was still cool at night. The beds are OK. There is a bathroom in the dorm room too, but there was almost no privacy for the bathroom, as there was a gap between the door for others to see and you can see through the frosted glass into the bathroom too! The hostel is relatively clean, quiet and well-located, except there may be other local guests, who are loud and smoke sometimes in the other rooms. Next to the hostel is a nice up-market shopping centre and with really lots to eat, in the food-court on the 3rd floor.

EemdethuongThis hotel can accept foreigners. It is around 1km from Kuqa railway station which is walkable. I arrived very early (6AM). I took forever for check-in because the reception had minimal experience with foreign guests and asked too many (repetitive) questions. She inspected the passport even more thoroughly than the police in Kuqa that I encountered. She asked about the stamps of other countries as well (not sure why and what it has got to do with the hotel check-in). I had a previous Chinese visa which I repetitively said it was old and pointed to the new one, but she kept coming back to it and asking for more info again and again. After almost 30 mins, I was able to come to the room, still the reception came knocking 2 more times for more questions. The second time I had to politely gave a sign that I wanted to sleep for a bit because I had sightseeing to do a couple hours later. I don’t know if this is protocol for Kuqa. So far the most ‘questioning’ hotel which I only expected to happen in Hotan. I negotitated to check in early because I would check out very early the next day (4.30AM) to board the train to Kashgar. It took a while to negotiate but it was possible in the end. Clealiness is so so, not the best but acceptable. It was not a memorable stay but the room will suffice your comfort. Just wish the check-in process would be faster and simpler. 100rmb deposit at check-in which will be refund at check-out.

SSoulful Traveler 心靈行旅# Shanshan Kumtag Desert Luxury Hotel: A Tender Secret in the Deep Desert The desert is lonely, but at this luxury hotel on the edge of the Kumtag Desert in Shanshan, that solitude becomes a poetic experience. Golden sand dunes undulate silently, like the breath of the earth. Here, time slows to a crawl, and the world becomes nothing but the desert, the starry sky, and the throbbing of the soul. The tents, nestled in the desert, look like an ancient caravan camp from afar, but upon closer inspection, the interior reveals a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Soft carpets and understated yet sophisticated lighting create a perfect blend of desolation and comfort. In the evening, we soaked in the hot water in the open-air bath, watching the sunset paint the dunes a rouge hue. In that moment, it felt as if the entire desert whispered to us. Dinner that evening was a feast we could never have imagined. The lamb short ribs, simmered for 36 hours, are tender yet not mushy. The tendon is crisp, and the aroma of ginger and chili dances on the tongue. The ox knee is soft and flavorful, and the rich tomato sauce is like a love poem from the Western Regions. The spiced aroma of the flatbreads and roast chicken carries the flavors of merchants and travelers from thousands of years ago. I can't help but wonder if in ancient tents, kings, princes, and generals sat together, drinking tea, eating meat, and discussing the country. After dinner, we drank tea under the stars. The cool desert breeze blew against our faces, but we didn't feel cold. The stars in the sky, distant yet close, seemed like the most gentle gaze on travelers. That night, the desert was no longer empty, but filled with our dreams and romance.
