The bed was clean and comfortable, but there was no air conditioning or electric blanket, so it felt quite cold. The bathroom was dry and very clean. The host was super friendly and even helped me fix my glasses when they broke. Highly recommended for solo travellers.

A generally smooth stay with a helpful front desk staff, though the airport transfer set the tone with an unexpected hour‑long wait between calling the hotel and the bus finally departing; fortunately, this only created a small dent in what was otherwise reliable and good service. A simple suggestion: if delays are likely, being upfront about it would be appreciated, as many guests are more than happy to arrange their own transport and pay for it themselves.

Five stars | Kangrinboqe Youth Hostel (Liuxing Street Store) – Practical, comfortable, and no gimmicks Trust me, if you're coming to Yining and staying in Liuxing Street, choose Kangrinboqe. No exaggeration, you'll understand what 'value' means once you've stayed here. 📍Location It's right in Liuxing Street; just follow your navigation. Step outside and you're surrounded by all sorts of food, drinks, and shops – super convenient. Walking back at night, the street isn't dark or isolated, so even if you're alone, you feel safe. The best part is – it's quiet, so you can really get a good night's sleep. 🛏️Facilities The beds are sturdy; no creaks or wobbles when you turn over, which is super important for guys. Each bed has a curtain, a light, and power outlets, so you can charge your phone, play games, or watch videos without disturbing anyone. The cafe is good; the black coffee is strong enough. It’s a great spot to browse your phone, edit photos, or just zone out. The kitchen is available and well-equipped with pots, pans, and everything you need. If you want to save money and cook some noodles or reheat food, it's no problem. Reading room? Yes. The sofas are comfy. There aren't many books, but a few are worth reading. If you're tired, you can just sprawl out there for a bit, and no one will bother you. 🧼Cleanliness I have to say – it's clean. The bathroom has no strange smells or limescale, and the drain isn't clogged. The bed sheets are white, with no stains or hair. Guys might not be as particular, but the cleanliness here will make you think, 'Wow, this money was well spent.' 💬Service The front desk staff, both guys and girls, are efficient and don't waste time. They answer all your questions and check you in quickly. Sometimes in the evenings, they organize communal dinners or casual drinks and chats. If you feel like joining in, you can; if not, no one forces you. This kind of service, without awkwardness or annoyance, is truly comfortable. 🔥Overall Impression Coming here alone, it doesn't feel awkward; coming with friends, you can still have a good time. They don't go for those trendy, 'influencer' gimmicks; it's simply a hostel that understands what 'staying' truly means. Next time I'm in Yining, I'll definitely stay here again. No more words needed, five stars.

I don't recommend staying in a capsule room. There are usually more men in mixed-gender rooms, and smoking and drinking are the norm. Most Uyghur **zang smoke. If there are any issues, the Han Chinese owner will just tell them off, but won't change rooms. He'll just make excuses, saying there aren't enough women staying in capsule rooms, and I can't leave the room empty. If you don't care about female customers, why mix genders? 😂 What does it have to do with me whether you have a room available or not? My stay was terrible. I couldn't get a room with more women, no smoke, and a quieter room. The beautiful Uyghur front desk clerk said I checked in at noon and couldn't change. It was hilarious. There weren't any Uyghur guys drinking, smoking, or singing shirtless at noon. 😂 If you want good service, don't consider this place.

This hostel in Yining is a hidden gem! With a balcony room and heartwarming service, I could stay for ten days and still not want to leave. I stayed at Backpackers 10 Years Hostel, right by Yining Railway Station, for almost ten days, and the experience was incredible! I have to recommend my favorite room – it comes with a small balcony. In the mornings, I'd curl up in a chair, soaking in the sun and reading. In the afternoons, I'd simply relax in the warm light. It was so gentle and therapeutic, making for an incredibly relaxing stay. The hostel environment also exceeded my expectations: the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The ground floor common area was fully equipped with billiards, table tennis, and a reading nook, making leisure and entertainment super convenient. What touched me the most was the human touch! I sprained my ankle hiking (unrelated to the hostel), and the front desk, owner, and customer service staff were all incredibly kind. They actively checked in on me, brought hot water, and even gave me safflower oil. The hostel's dog also quietly stayed by my side. The kindness I received in a foreign land was truly moving. The location is close to the train station, making travel convenient. The cleanliness, service, and value for money were all top-notch. This place doesn't feel like a hostel; it's more like a warm little harbor. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yining! Highly recommended! ❤️

The rooms are clean and hygienic without any peculiar smell. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are complete and there is a fully automatic washing machine. It is cost-effective. It is conveniently located on the main road. There are many places to eat downstairs. Parking downstairs is convenient and free. It is the first choice for business trips and entertainment.

The best hostel in the city, i did 2 hostel in this city and this one is by far the best. The room is so nice with Xinjiang carpet i love it so much. The yard is big with everything as washing machine or kitchen, and a place for rest with a cute cat and a mulberry tree with free natural mulberry. The location is so nice close to the best place in Yining. All the girls at the reception are so nice and welcoming with a very good english. When i will comeback in the city i will book again this place without hesitation. I hope to see foreigners there in the future.

Compact, but very comfortable and modern room. Plenty of food options around and the classy Wanda Plaza mall just across the road. Very helpful front desk staff. Some foreign travellers might find it a little hard to find because there are quite a few small hotels in the same tall building- it's just a matter of walking around the building to find the entrance (in Chinese above the doorway).

AApril‘Mother1. Location: In the west of the ancient city, very close to a gate of the ancient city. Then go out of this gate, cross the road, and walk a short distance to the right to reach Nuolan Hotel, a relatively good local restaurant with many locals. The hotel is decorated very distinctively and the service attitude is good. I ate roasted pigeon, lamb skewers, pepper chicken, strawberry milkshake, etc. I think the taste is quite good 😄. There is also an ancient city performance downstairs at 7 o'clock in the evening. 2. Room: The room is very clean, the bedding is comfortable, and I like the layout very much. The bed is against the window. When you open the window, you can see the ancient city street. The sun shines in and it is very warm. 3. The boss: very enthusiastic, and also invited us to eat the dates grown by ourselves, which are very delicious. There are also two cute cats. Our girl likes this homestay very much 😄, and is vying to write a review. Kashgar is a place worth visiting again. Next time, I will choose Qingfeng Yage

RRay00The inn keeper was very nice, I arrived really late at night and was having trouble finding it because everything was closed. He helped me find it I booked a non smoking room, and after checking in when I said the room smelled he promptly help me inspect another room and change the room. Be aware, though they lost as having non smoking room, none of their rooms seems to be non smoking. But it was still good enough, the new room only AC smelled a bit but I think they cleaned it up after the first night cause second night the AC didn't smell . Considering the price at that location, the amenities and everything else was very good. It was generally clean. The rooms are small but I was a solo traveller, so it was fine for me. Many of the landmarks are really close by this hotel. So I had a comfortable time just walking around to them or commuting pretty comfortably. The ancient streets are close by, and there is local and chain restaurants and stalls all around.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and very comfortable! The location is great, and they offer a shuttle service to the ski slopes every day. Overall, it was fantastic, and I'll definitely stay here again next time! I spent a long time choosing a hotel and finally picked this one because it had absolutely no negative reviews! I went there with the thought, 'How can a hotel have no bad reviews? I have to see it for myself!' After staying, I truly think it's wonderful 👏. The room had a view of the ski slopes! Plus, there's a bathtub so you can soak every day after coming back 🛁! And there are two cats you can pet!

GGuest UserGood reviews! The location of the hotel is amazing. You can see the magnificent Pamir Plateau scenery of Tashkurgan County as soon as you go out. In the morning, when you open the window, the sun shines on the top of the continuous snow-capped mountains. The picture is so beautiful that it is suffocating. Here, you can enjoy the unique natural scenery of Tashkurgan County while lying in bed. This experience is great!

GGuest UserHostel is about 5 - 7 minutes away from the ”Sports Centre” metro station, which is about 25+ minutes from the airport. The hostel entrance is next to the Tesla shop, and you have to press the buzzer, for the security guard to open the gate for you. Then, after writing your name down in the guest-book, you go up to the 10th floor in the lift. (Check the other reviews here, for a picture of the gate/door to the building) The staff speak little to no English, but they are very helpful. They will try to solve your issues, as long as you patient with the translation software. Also, it is difficult for staff to check you in, if you do not have a contact number or Alipay/Wechat contact. (This is a CN Govt requirement) The dorm rooms are basic and you may get the city views. There are no privacy curtains and there was no air-con, in my one. The hostel staff can provide fans, but we did not need any, as it was still cool at night. The beds are OK. There is a bathroom in the dorm room too, but there was almost no privacy for the bathroom, as there was a gap between the door for others to see and you can see through the frosted glass into the bathroom too! The hostel is relatively clean, quiet and well-located, except there may be other local guests, who are loud and smoke sometimes in the other rooms. Next to the hostel is a nice up-market shopping centre and with really lots to eat, in the food-court on the 3rd floor.

EemdethuongThis hotel can accept foreigners. It is around 1km from Kuqa railway station which is walkable. I arrived very early (6AM). I took forever for check-in because the reception had minimal experience with foreign guests and asked too many (repetitive) questions. She inspected the passport even more thoroughly than the police in Kuqa that I encountered. She asked about the stamps of other countries as well (not sure why and what it has got to do with the hotel check-in). I had a previous Chinese visa which I repetitively said it was old and pointed to the new one, but she kept coming back to it and asking for more info again and again. After almost 30 mins, I was able to come to the room, still the reception came knocking 2 more times for more questions. The second time I had to politely gave a sign that I wanted to sleep for a bit because I had sightseeing to do a couple hours later. I don’t know if this is protocol for Kuqa. So far the most ‘questioning’ hotel which I only expected to happen in Hotan. I negotitated to check in early because I would check out very early the next day (4.30AM) to board the train to Kashgar. It took a while to negotiate but it was possible in the end. Clealiness is so so, not the best but acceptable. It was not a memorable stay but the room will suffice your comfort. Just wish the check-in process would be faster and simpler. 100rmb deposit at check-in which will be refund at check-out.

PPupuzhangThe owner was incredibly kind, almost to the point of being embarrassing. They helped us store our luggage in advance and even carried our suitcases upstairs during check-in. When we came back in the middle of the night, they even let us use a different room to shower, and they didn't treat us any differently just because we booked a special offer room. Their hospitality really made me feel much more positive about this city. The inn is conveniently located not far from the entrance of Liuxing Street and also close to the bus station, making it very easy for transportation and transfers. This was especially convenient after a long day of sightseeing; being able to walk straight upstairs after strolling down Liuxing Street, even past midnight, was a huge plus. The hallway and room have a nostalgic feel, reminding me of guesthouses from my childhood. The air conditioning and walls, however, are very new. I could tell they take hygiene seriously from the bathroom; the cleaning supplies were very comprehensive.

SSoulful Traveler 心靈行旅# Shanshan Kumtag Desert Luxury Hotel: A Tender Secret in the Deep Desert The desert is lonely, but at this luxury hotel on the edge of the Kumtag Desert in Shanshan, that solitude becomes a poetic experience. Golden sand dunes undulate silently, like the breath of the earth. Here, time slows to a crawl, and the world becomes nothing but the desert, the starry sky, and the throbbing of the soul. The tents, nestled in the desert, look like an ancient caravan camp from afar, but upon closer inspection, the interior reveals a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Soft carpets and understated yet sophisticated lighting create a perfect blend of desolation and comfort. In the evening, we soaked in the hot water in the open-air bath, watching the sunset paint the dunes a rouge hue. In that moment, it felt as if the entire desert whispered to us. Dinner that evening was a feast we could never have imagined. The lamb short ribs, simmered for 36 hours, are tender yet not mushy. The tendon is crisp, and the aroma of ginger and chili dances on the tongue. The ox knee is soft and flavorful, and the rich tomato sauce is like a love poem from the Western Regions. The spiced aroma of the flatbreads and roast chicken carries the flavors of merchants and travelers from thousands of years ago. I can't help but wonder if in ancient tents, kings, princes, and generals sat together, drinking tea, eating meat, and discussing the country. After dinner, we drank tea under the stars. The cool desert breeze blew against our faces, but we didn't feel cold. The stars in the sky, distant yet close, seemed like the most gentle gaze on travelers. That night, the desert was no longer empty, but filled with our dreams and romance.
