Very Good
TtheJMsOur kids enjoyed the stay very much. Although it’s located on the outskirts of Melaka, that’s actually part of its charm. It’s a nice place to slow down, unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The resort grounds are spacious and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and family-friendly.
The resort also surprised us with a thoughtful anniversary welcome treat which was a lovely touch and much appreciated.
Areas for improvement:
The main disappointment was the pool maintenance. The water could have been cleaner and there was a noticeable pee odour around the pool area. The bottom of the pool also appeared greenish and felt slightly slimey which made it yucky. Better upkeep and more frequent cleaning would greatly improve the overall guest experience.
Overall:
A good option for families looking for a quiet getaway near Melaka but the pool maintenance is something the resort should address.
GGuest UserOverall, we were very satisfied with the hotel’s facilities and family-friendly environment. However, I would not recommend staying during peak season due to the long waiting time for room allocation. Although check-in was at 3:30 PM, we only received our room between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. While guests were allowed to enjoy the facilities and complimentary light refreshments while waiting, the delay was challenging, especially for young children who were already tired after travelling.
Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was below expectations. It appeared that housekeeping was rushing to prepare rooms. There was visible dust and small pieces of rubbish on the floor, the shower gel bottle was completely empty and had not been refilled, and the balcony had not been swept. Most concerning was finding a Charlie ant near the curtain.
That said, I would like to compliment the hotel manager for the prompt response when we requested additional bottled drinking water. The service recovery was appreciated.
The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was delicious. Parking was convenient, and the facilities were excellent, making the hotel highly suitable for families with young children.
In conclusion, the housekeeping standards and room waiting time require significant improvement. However, the food, parking, and facilities were excellent. The location is slightly outside Malacca city centre, with most tourist attractions approximately 15–20 minutes away by car.
MM心空The hotel is located in town center, close to restaurants and shopping areas.
The design may be somewhat dated, but it is well-maintained and clean.
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Check-in and check-out are quick and easy.
The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices to suit various tastes.
The beds are comfortable.
Although there are two TVs, they are smaller than expected and cannot connect to personal devices.
The swimming pool has beautiful views, and swimming is a good experience.
The gym facilities are standard, and the exercise equipment offers breathtaking city views.
The room rate is reasonable.
DduhjerrellHad a 3D2N stay at this hotel and my experience was nothing but pleasant. Staff were friendly, amenities and room were new and not lacking. My room faced the Strait of Melaka and it was breathtaking.
Pros:
- Service was top notch. From check-in to the usage of facilities, I was well taken care of.
- Facilities are abundant, from new gym equipment to a sauna, steam room and a swimming pool (deepest in Melaka at 2.7 m), there’s something for everyone.
- Room was clean and modern, though if the TV had access to Youtube/Netflix that would make it flawless.
- Breakfast option was more than decent, comparable to other similarly-priced hotels in the area.
- Walking distance to Old Town Melaka were Dutch Square is located.
Cons:
- Nothing major that warrants listing.

AAnonymous UserHad a wonderful stay at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it a great choice for both families and leisure travellers.
A special mention goes to Roger, who was exceptionally helpful during our stay. He was friendly, attentive, and went the extra mile to assist with our requests, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of.
The facilities were well-maintained, the rooms were spacious, and the overall service was excellent. Thank you to the team for the pleasant experience. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Melaka!
SSerenisyafyHARGA BILIK & PENDAFTARAN MASUK
Tiada deposit yg mahal lagi mengarut dikenakan.
BILIK
Sesuai dengan harga, bilik lengkap dengan katil berserta tilam yg empuk. TV ada Netflix, Youtube, AppleTV, Prime and so on.
SARAPAN
Overall, The Lisbon Melaka boleh menjadi hotel mesra keluarga jika The Lisbon kekal menjaga kualiti sampai bila². Repeat? definitely yes. Moga maju jaya buat The Lisbon Melaka
GGuest UserOur second stop in Malaysia was The Majestic Malacca, and I was absolutely captivated by its vintage charm. The decor in the lobby, courtyard, and even the rooms was incredibly photogenic. It's a historic building itself, and the overall design, furnishings, and soft decor perfectly matched my aesthetic – I was so pleased! The hotel service was excellent, embodying the attentive spirit of British butler service. The staff were also very warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was of exceptionally high quality. All in all, I absolutely loved this hotel. The only minor drawback was the soundproofing, which isn't ideal and might bother light sleepers. However, compared to the beauty of the property and the outstanding service, it's a minor detail I can easily overlook.
GGuest UserThere are many rooms on each floor, but the decor is a bit outdated. There aren't many shops nearby, just an Indian-run convenience store across the street that closes quite early. The breakfast was decent, but considering we were abroad, the selection of Chinese food was limited, which is completely understandable.
NNg Kien Boon BenjaminOur family of four from Singapore recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka during the Vesak Day long weekend for a short getaway, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.
The hotel has a beautiful ambiance that immediately makes guests feel welcomed and relaxed. Check-in and check-out were exceptionally efficient, allowing us to maximise our holiday time. What truly stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team. Every staff member we encountered was approachable, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a comfortable stay.
The location is excellent, with plenty of dining, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The swimming pool, fitness centre, and sauna were all well-maintained and provided a great way to relax after a day of exploring Melaka.
We particularly appreciated how the team regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. It is this level of personalised service that sets the hotel apart. As parents travelling with teenagers, we were pleasantly surprised to find warm food available late at night when our children got hungry. This was an unexpected but greatly appreciated touch.
Considering the quality of the facilities, service, and overall experience, the hotel offers excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return on our next visit to Melaka.
Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Melaka.
LLady CelI promise this review is honest and unfiltered... This was my first stay in Malacca, and I’m so grateful for this newly renovated hotel that gave us a sense of safety and comfort. We ended up extending our stay by 2 more nights because we loved Malacca so much, for a total of 4 nights. Here’s my overall feedback, hope it helps anyone coming to Malacca:
- The hotel is in a great location, seemingly in a Chinese area with no run-down surroundings. It’s only about 2+ km to Jonker Street, super close—Grab rides cost just a few ringgit. Taxis are easy to get, and there are bell staff at the entrance who can help with anything you need.
- The renovation is new, easily 4-star standard, and really comfortable. Clean, fresh, with all the essentials. Rooms with balconies are amazing—my partner could smoke freely, just remember to close the windows to follow hotel rules. There are waiting sofas in every floor corridor, which is really thoughtful, plus air purifiers and air coolers too.
- Downstairs there’s a seafood restaurant, a Western bar, a noodle shop, a Sichuan restaurant, and even a Chaoshan beef hot pot place. We tried almost all of them, and they’re all pretty good. The fish at the seafood restaurant was excellent—pricier, but worth it for the quality.
- The hotel service is the part I need to comment on. It’s inconsistent—some staff are lovely, others lack service awareness. For example, there was a Malay bellboy who was always cheerful and helped open doors every day. But the front desk staff were sometimes unenthusiastic, and calls to them weren’t always smooth. The staff at the pool also weren’t very friendly.
- Breakfast is okay! The butter should really be replaced with animal-based butter 🧈!
If the hotel is open to feedback, please improve the front desk and overall service to match the standard set by the friendly bellboy.
Wish you all the best with your business!
