5-Star Hotels in Melaka State, Malaysia

I promise this review is honest and unfiltered... This was my first stay in Malacca, and I’m so grateful for this newly renovated hotel that gave us a sense of safety and comfort. We ended up extending our stay by 2 more nights because we loved Malacca so much, for a total of 4 nights. Here’s my overall feedback, hope it helps anyone coming to Malacca: - The hotel is in a great location, seemingly in a Chinese area with no run-down surroundings. It’s only about 2+ km to Jonker Street, super close—Grab rides cost just a few ringgit. Taxis are easy to get, and there are bell staff at the entrance who can help with anything you need. - The renovation is new, easily 4-star standard, and really comfortable. Clean, fresh, with all the essentials. Rooms with balconies are amazing—my partner could smoke freely, just remember to close the windows to follow hotel rules. There are waiting sofas in every floor corridor, which is really thoughtful, plus air purifiers and air coolers too. - Downstairs there’s a seafood restaurant, a Western bar, a noodle shop, a Sichuan restaurant, and even a Chaoshan beef hot pot place. We tried almost all of them, and they’re all pretty good. The fish at the seafood restaurant was excellent—pricier, but worth it for the quality. - The hotel service is the part I need to comment on. It’s inconsistent—some staff are lovely, others lack service awareness. For example, there was a Malay bellboy who was always cheerful and helped open doors every day. But the front desk staff were sometimes unenthusiastic, and calls to them weren’t always smooth. The staff at the pool also weren’t very friendly. - Breakfast is okay! The butter should really be replaced with animal-based butter 🧈! If the hotel is open to feedback, please improve the front desk and overall service to match the standard set by the friendly bellboy. Recently I had the pleasure of staying at The Majestic Malacca and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and well-maintained. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, making my stay very relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, who were always ready to assist and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend The Majestic Malacca to anyone looking for quality accommodation. I look forward to my next visit!

HARGA BILIK & PENDAFTARAN MASUK Kebiasaannya harga bilik di Hotel The Lisbon sekitar RM 300± tapi bila dapat harga RM183± tanpa sarapan di Trip.com memang berbaloi. Urusan pendaftaran sangat cepat, mesra dan mudah. Tidak seperti hotel kebiasaan, staf receptionist The Lisbon memang wajar dipuji kerana bila kita sampai di kaunter, mereka dah standby siap kad bilik dan borang yg perlu diisi dalam satu folder plastik, jadi hanya perlu mention nama penuh, mereka terus beri borang utk diisi dan bayar RM5 utk heritage charge. Tiada deposit yg mahal lagi mengarut dikenakan. BILIK Sesuai dengan harga, bilik lengkap dengan katil berserta tilam yg empuk. TV ada Netflix, Youtube, AppleTV, Prime and so on. Juga lengkap dgn iron, coffee corner, hair dryer, safety box, bath robe dan tuala. Tidak lupa utk buat Muslim, sejadah ada disediakan di sini. Namun sayang sekali utk toilet, tiada botol kecil syampu utk dibawa balik sbg kenangan dan saya ada request complimentary deco for anniversary yg ringkas spt deco tuala tapi mungkin pihak mereka terlepas pandang email permintaan saya tapi The Lisbon menebus silap terlepas pandang dengan beri sarapan percuma utk 2 org SARAPAN Banyak pilihan sarapan yg tersedia meskipun dihidang dalam kuantiti yg kurang sedikit mungkin berdasarkan faktor bilangan tetamu. Namun, wajar dipuji kerana banyak pilihan dan sedap. Bagi mereka ada anak kecil, jangan terlepas pandang seksyen makanan utk anak² ada disediakan siap dengan kertas lukisan mewarna jika anak² bosan. PERSEKITARAN Cantik, ada kolam renang yg luas utk dewasa dan kanak². klasik sinonim dengan nama The Lisbon Melaka. Tapi mungkin kekangan atau kekurangan manpower, jadi ada few tempat agak kelihatan semak Overall, The Lisbon Melaka boleh menjadi hotel mesra keluarga jika The Lisbon kekal menjaga kualiti sampai bila². Repeat? definitely yes. Moga maju jaya buat The Lisbon Melaka

We came for a 2 night stay at Dusit Princess Melaka to compare the hotel standard with the building past occupant being Ramada Renaissance.  Dusit Princess Melaka had certainly improved much on the grandeur of the hotel building.  Its welcome perk was a 50MYR food voucher to spend at its eateries and valid only for the day of issue.  Eating at the cafe and Long Feng Chinese restaurant were equally pleasant.  The food menu choice and cooking at Long Feng were excellent but somewhat pricey.  This hotel location would be comfortable for persons familiar with the old town of Melaka.  Room was spacious, bright, neat and clean.  The elevator worked well and fast  enough and would need the room card to access on going up.

Friendly staff throughout the hotel. Check in and out was smooth, although there was a queue for check in, probably as it was a long weekend. Very accomodating to.our requests (we had a total of 6 rooms). Room was clean with usual amenities. Good water pressure and cold aircon, except for one room which was at the end. That one was a bit warm so suggest don't take end rooms unless you get cold easily. Walking in you'll find a mini sitting room with a couch & tv. Partial glass partition between this and the bedroom. Breakfast was alright, quite a big space and nicely done up. Appreciate that the mains were double sided so people were spread out. A bit slow on the plate clearing but understood it was a busy period. This is a non-smoking hotel so if you need to smoke will have to go to front of hotel or to the 9th flr car park. There's a 7-11 on the ground floor as well as a nonya restaurant and a 'kopi tiam' sort of eatery with nice nasi lemak. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again.

I purposely booked Parkroyal A'Famosa Melaka Resort for my wedding anniversary because of the brand’s reputation, hoping to give my wife a memorable celebration. I explicitly noted the special occasion during booking and requested a room with a nice view. Unfortunately, the entire experience fell completely short of 5-star expectations. While I understand it is peak season and mistakes happen with high occupancy, the consecutive failures from the staff were unacceptable: 1）Room Assignment & Basic Amenities: Despite the anniversary note, we were assigned the second-to-last room furthest from the lobby with no special view. Worse, basic room setup was neglected—the vanity only had a single toothpaste and lacked standard essential amenities. 2） Broken Promises for Anniversary Decor: During check-in, the counter staff specifically asked what time we would be out for dinner so they could decorate our room. We told them we would be out from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We returned at 7:30 PM to find absolutely nothing had been done. If the hotel had no intention or capacity to prepare a gesture, the staff should never have made the offer. Setting expectations in front of my wife and completely failing to deliver was incredibly embarrassing and ruined the evening's mood. 3) Appalling Concierge & Shuttle Service: Wanting to take the family out for dinner, we approached the concierge for the shuttle bus to the nearby outlet. We were told to wait ”a few minutes.” We waited 20 minutes, asked again, and were told ”another 5 minutes,” followed by yet another ”5 minutes.” After being strung along for nearly half an hour with an 8-month-old baby and elderly family in tow, I grew fed up, lost patience, and had to drive my own vehicle out instead. As an international hospitality brand, managing peak periods should be standard. Promising gestures to guests only to completely ignore them shows a severe lack of internal communication and care. This has severely tarnished what was supposed to be a special celebration for my family.

the location is good, view is nice and the home is comfortable, the host was responsible and reply fast, but the blanket just abit dirty, got some blood and some dust on the blanket, overall is good, recommend to stay

I recently stayed at Birkin International Hotel Malacca and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel feels modern, clean, and comfortable from the moment you walk into the lobby. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the stay. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and nicely designed with comfortable bedding and good sound insulation, which made it easy to rest after a long day exploring Malacca. The bathroom was also clean and equipped with essential amenities. Parking was also convenient and easily accessible. The breakfast selection was decent with both local and international choices. The dining area was clean and organized, though it could get slightly crowded during peak hours. Hotel facilities such as the swimming pool and gym were well-kept and suitable for families and business travelers alike. Overall, Birkin International Hotel Malacca offers good value for money with comfortable rooms, attentive service, and a convenient location. I would recommend it to travelers visiting Malacca for either business or leisure, and I would consider staying here again in the future.

We are fascinated by the excellent services provided by the staff. Roxana went out of the way to make our stay special. When she found out that it was my birthday she did surprise us with a cake, balloons and a nice note. It made my day extra special. THANK YOU for the kind welcome and special treatment!

Cleanliness of the room was superb. King size bed is really comfortable. View is amazing! Definitely will stay at Hilton again. Highly recommend!!
