The three of us stayed in a quad room with bunk beds. It was a bit small, but the beds were large and very comfortable, similar to what you'd find in a YHA, making it great for families and friends traveling together. The common areas were a real highlight; I enjoyed sitting there alone for a while when I couldn't sleep, sipping tea or coffee – it was lovely. Excellent value for money, perfect for budget-conscious travelers.

My friend and I stayed together, and the room was considerably more spacious than expected. As is typical for many Japanese hotels, the bathroom is smaller than those in Korean hotels, but it was not a major inconvenience. The bar on the first floor sells drinks at reasonable prices, and all the staff were very friendly. Accessibility to the center of Susukino is also good.

The hotel's location is great, about a 10-minute walk from Susukino subway station. The front desk is on the 8th floor. There's a strange smell in the elevator and on the 8th floor near the reception, possibly because guests have to take off their shoes, which might contribute to an unpleasant odor. Every night before bed, I enjoyed a hot spring bath, which was absolutely wonderful! Thumbs up!
The counter staff is very polite, you can send it early, the room is very clean, this family is very good, except that it is a bit far from today, there is no problem, there is also a supermarket nearby

There was a fine layer of black dust on the duvet, but the bedsheets underneath were quite clean. The location is excellent, right next to Tanukikoji Shopping Street and Sapporo TV Tower. The public bath feels a bit dated, and the towel on the floor by the entrance was a little damp. Overall, it's decent for the price.
A small but charming accommodation. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The room was just right for two people, with a standard double bed. It's a 5-minute walk to Wulinggang Pagoda. Clown Burger is next to Wulinggang Pagoda and is open until 9 pm. Parking is available right next to the hotel. It costs 660 yen per day. There's a large restaurant called Da Kuro-ya just around the corner. There are many places to eat nearby in the evening.
The location was great, only a 5-minute walk from Maruyama-koen Station. The room felt nice and was very clean. It had a kitchen with a large refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, and electric stove. There were also two sinks, which was perfect for the four of us. Wi-Fi was available, and there's a supermarket nearby.
However, upon arrival, there was a sign for the front desk on the 3rd floor, and when I got into the elevator, it wouldn't move without a 3-digit code. I didn't know about this, and I'm not sure if I was informed of it beforehand. It caused some hassle during check-in, which is self-service. I eventually had to call to complete the check-in process.

There was an issue with my capsule hotel booking, and to top it off, Sapporo experienced heavy snowfall, causing the JR airport line to shut down. By the time I finally made it to the city center, the subway and buses had stopped running. Luckily, I spontaneously booked this place, and it's within walking distance of Sapporo JR Station. Given the price, I didn't have high expectations. I just pulled the curtain, put in my earplugs, and slept soundly until morning. It's a decent option for a solo traveler needing a last-minute overnight stay.

The owner was really kind and helpful~ Even though we didn’t speak the same language, he was very patient and did his best to answer my questions and help me with the check-in🥹 I really liked this place and would definitely come back again next time!!
It is a little far from Hakodate city, but very close to the airport. The facilities may be a little lacking compared to the surrounding ryokans, but the breakfast and dinner more than make up for it. The staff are friendly, and there is a female staff member who speaks Korean well, so there is no inconvenience at all.
The house design is beautiful, but the location is a bit far unless you have a car. The guesthouse serves food, and you can mingle with other guests. You can also play with the cats, though be careful with the three-legged one. The room is clean and comfortable.
Just what we needed! The owner is a great guy, the beds have plugs at the headboard, it was warm, the water was hot-> just what we needed. (from my friends: loved the bedding the mattresses were nice)
Yuni No Yu hotel has amazing staff, who mostly spoke Japanese. They went out of their way to communicate with us in English. They sent hotel staff to pick us up from the Yuni Station and when we left they drove us back to the Yuni Station and from there we took the local train to the New Chitose Airport. The hotel is 1.4 miles from the Yuni Station. It was snowing and cold outside and we would not have made it to the hotel if we had to walk in the freezing and wet weather. There was no taxi in sight when we arrived at the Yuni station around 5 PM on January 26, 2026. We loved the authentic food prepared by the hotel restaurant chef! Delish! We took off our shoes at the hotel door, like other guests. They have shared, gender-specific showering/bathing/onsen. The winter wonderland scene outside the hotel was spectacular to see. Marvelous hotel, excellent service. A polite and beautiful people! Highly recommend this hotel!
I had a wonderful stay at Pension Setsurin! The tatami room was an amazing and authentic experience, making my trip truly special. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even asking about food sensitivities to accommodate my breakfast, which I really appreciated. The breakfast is definitely worth trying—it’s rich, diverse, and full of traditional Japanese flavors. There’s even anime playing during breakfast, which adds a fun cultural touch to the experience. All toiletries were fully provided, so I didn’t need to bring anything extra. I stayed on the second floor, so just keep in mind you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs. A special thank you to the host for going the extra mile—when I checked out, they even helped clear the snow off my car, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend Pension Setsurin for anyone looking for a warm and authentic stay!
