I got lost three times at the wrong branch of the swing & pillow hotel. It was very tiring. And you know what? It turns out this hotel is next to Bary Inn. And this used to be part of the Bary Inn hotel so it still looks newly renovated. The room is small, suitable for short transit. The downside is there are no tea / coffee sachets in the room, no shampoo, no toothbrush provided. Around me I only found two restaurants that require a 10-minute walk. For comfort and security, it's quite good because we are given two cards, one access card to enter the hotel and one card for the room. The bed is a bit short for me who is 175cm đ€ but the front desk staff are very friendly. Hopefully in the future there will be improvements and service enhancements so that transitors will want to stay here. because the other branches are better and have more places to eat.
Service highlights include: 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, multilingual staff, etc.
Location highlights: Close to a gas station, near attractions/business districts/shopping malls, and the surrounding area is safe and quiet. However, there isn't a convenience store nearby, but if you don't mind, you can grab a coffee at the Starbucks located at the gas station.
A convenient stay as it is just located above Mamak Pelita restaurant. Easy to fill you stomach. Nearby also got many foods according to your taste, example nandos, shawarma, sushi king, CU mart, Family Mart, Secret Recipe and many more in the ampang point shopping mall. The hotel is located just opposite ampang point shopping centre. Usually the hotel provide elevator but during my current visit, the elevator broke down and I had to climb 3 storey to my room alongside my luggage đ„Č

Affordable and quiet nice for short stay especially if you transit more than 24 hour. Can use grab to go here. But beware scam by grab, they ask to raise the fare (different from Grab Apps). Staff were good, helping you to book grab without hidden fare. âšđ€đ»

For this price point, the room was really good. The front desk had translation software, and the service was very enthusiastic, so I had no problems communicating at all. If I have the chance again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.
The hotel was very comfortable, just a small comment: the room door lock was a bit loose, and the air conditioning swing function wasn't working. Other than that, it was okay if you just needed a place to sleep, very, very comfortable. The staff were also kind and friendly đ€
Recently I'd stayed at Batu Caves Hotel, and my experience was a blend of convenience, affordability, and practicalityâperfect for travelers who prioritize location and budget over luxury. What stood out immediately was the hotelâs exceptional proximity to the iconic Batu Caves. Being able to reach one of Malaysiaâs most famous landmarks within minutes was incredibly convenient, especially for an early morning climb up the colourful steps before the crowds arrived. For visitors whose main itinerary revolves around exploring the Batu Caves area, this location is undeniably one of the hotelâs strongest advantages.
The hotel itself offers a no-frills, straightforward stay. My check-in process was smooth and efficient, conducted by staff who were polite and helpful. While the service isnât luxurious, it is functional enough to make the overall stay comfortable. The room provided was modest in size and furnished with basic amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and essential toiletries. The bed was reasonably comfortable for a budget hotel, and I appreciated having access to stable internet for planning my trip and catching up on work.
Cleanliness, while generally acceptable, is an area that could be improved. The room was tidy, but certain corners and fixtures showed signs of wear and could benefit from deeper upkeep. That said, nothing was overly problematicâjust something to be aware of if you are particular about immaculate spaces.
The surrounding area is very convenient, with eateries, convenience stores, and small shops located nearby. Whether you're craving local Malaysian dishes or need a quick drink from a minimart, everything is within walking distance. Despite the urban environment, the nights were relatively quiet, allowing for restful sleep after a long day of sightseeing.
Overall, Batu Caves Hotel is best suited for practical travelers, backpackers, short-stay guests, and anyone who values strategic location and affordability. Itâs not a luxury stay, but it delivers exactly what it promisesâa simple, budget-friendly accommodation close to one of Malaysiaâs must-visit attractions.
Book this hotel for its location for attending class nearby.
The booking was easy with Trip.com at a very good price.
Only street parking is available for this hotel.
There are many different restaurants (Chinese, Western, Korean, deseert bar) and a few pubs around this area.
Selected a twin-bed room with a window.
The room looks clean and neat. Just the naminated flooring is not in good shape.
There is a kettle with coffee and tea in the room, but no fridge.
The toilet amenities are complete with body and hair shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shower cab, and razor. All our daily hygiene needs are here. Hence, save the hassle of bringing it.
The front desk staff is friendly too.
Overall, I was happy with the booking and the stay in this hotel
I don't have high expectations since it's cheap, but the blanket, bedsheet, pillow cover, etc. have stains. Cleanliness is the least thing you can offer to your guests.

AAnonymous UserSmall hotel but very good for convenient for touring around the city. At the heart of downtown just right across famoous street food night market, surrounded by shopping centers and restos, few blocks away from the hop-on-hop-off tour bus. The room is clean, modern and well-equipped. Just a warning to those looking for a quiet relaxing stay, do ask for a room not facing the front street as night life in the area could be noisy. Staff are professional and helpful. Will book again if coming to KL.
JJastanGreat option for a quick, one-night stay if you're in transit. The hotel offers free airport transfer, making it very convenient, and itâs just a 15-minute drive from the airport. The location is ideal, and the free breakfast includes roti canai, which was a nice local touch. Perfect for a short, hassle-free stay before catching your next flight!
NNFaaaaaaaaHThe staff were friendly, and I really appreciated the complimentary room upgrade â definitely a plus point. The overall cleanliness was average, but acceptable for a budget hotel. However, room security could be improved; the latch key wasnât functioning, which might raise some safety concerns.
The bed was very comfortable, and I especially liked the soft pillows and cozy comforter. They provided two pillows for a single bed and four for a double bed, which was a very nice touch and made the stay much more comfortable.
The surrounding area felt a bit lonely since itâs located near an industrial zone with not many cars or people around. Parking is available right in front of the building, but it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The reception isnât available 24 hours, so itâs something to keep in mind for late check-ins or assistance.
Overall, itâs a budget-friendly hotel offering decent comfort and basic amenities.

GGuest UserGood location with lots of good food around. But it can be noisy and it sort of give some scary vibes at night. Room service needs to be requested manually. No fridge and no room slippers. Thereâs a bar soap and a shampoo gel that I used and donât think it wash my hair cleanly. Better to bring your own or buy it at Watsons or guardian nearby.
GGuest UserOverall, it's decent. The location is unbeatable â just steps from the subway station and super convenient for dining. The rooms are a bit on the small side. Those with windows are much better; rooms without windows can feel quite cramped and claustrophobic.
NNasty13The cleanliness is perfect. There's coffee. The soundproofing isn't great, though. I guess it depends on who your neighbors are. If they're just sleeping, then it's fine. But!!! The clock in the room was a real problem; I couldn't sleep at all because it ticked so loudly. Plus, it was running fast.
Nearby, there's delicious and affordable food. (Laksa for only 12 RM and really tasty ice cream next door for 2 RM). I took a taxi here at 4 PM for 17 RM (Grab) and at 4 AM for 29 RM (inDrive).
GGuest UserThe location is near to some local shops-7eleven clinics and a restaurant. Amenities are excellent -water dispenser, kettle, microwave. Room is clean and pleasant. A bit small but its ok for me as it is sparkling clean. Toilet is also clean and everything works as it should be.
