I'm traveling for business and chose this hotel because it's close to my work. The rooms are also nice and spacious.

Convenient location and convenient parking. The room is more spacious, desk, refrigerator, microwave, small sofa, single sofa, mattress is very comfortable, bathroom is convenient. Breakfast is served in traditional American breakfast, the variety is relatively single, the side dishes have sausage and eggs, no salad. There are fruit, juice, milk, yogurt. very satisfied.

The location was great and I really liked the free transportation ( you should boocked it earlier by contacting the front desk)— super convenient! Breakfast was okay, but there weren’t many options. The pancakes were already gone even though the buffet had just started about 30 minutes earlier. Also, both coffee machines at the reception weren’t working — one was broken and the other kept showing an error. When they tried to fix it, they had to turn it off completely, so unfortunately, no coffee in the morning.

Lived three times. Did not feel that there is a big problem. It is satisfactory. Although it is not very high-end, it needs to be there. The room and the bed are large. Close to the airport, the surrounding supermarkets are very convenient. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but enough to eat and eat well.

AAndrewEngineerThe hotel is a bit dated. Service is very good. Excellent breakfast (especially. egg white omelet with spinach and mushrooms). Pool is good but lacking a hot tub. Self parking for $39 a night is a bit too.much.

GGuest UserLocation is good especially 5mins walk to the Grand subway station and it’s in the Shopping Loop. Room facilities is not that good, hair blower plug is shaky unable use. Towels not provided as per paid occupants. Need to request. Unable to do the make up for ladies as the Sensor entrance light is too dim.

GGuest UserMy Honest Experience After Reading Negative Reviews I was initially quite hesitant to check into this hotel after reading a number of detailed and lengthy negative reviews, especially those highlighting hidden fees and cleanliness issues. However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.

DDajianalidaolasipaermasitangxianzuI forgot to take pictures. The location of this hotel is pretty good. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the subway and about 15 minutes to Chinatown. It is within 5 kilometers from the city center. The room is quite big and clean. The breakfast is simple and cost-effective.

GGuest UserThis hotel seemed a good value but we had a major issue. After several tries, even the staff could not get the key card to work. Another room was provided but unfortunately, we could not access medication, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, food/water. I deducted points from the service score as we were left without updates as to when maintenance would assist us. Trip customer service reported that nobody would answer the phone when they tried to assist us. It was not until I inquired that were were informed were would be locked out until the next morning. As a result, I had to go out and purchase necessities. Despite the cost and inconvenience all Trip.com offered was $5 in coins, which is unacceptable. The hotel said they would refund to our card but since we booked Trip the couldn't do anything. That said, the staff was courteous and professional, one staff member even loaned us a phone charge cable which was appreciated. The room itself was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and this was the best part of the stay. Breakfast: I don't recommend the breakfast. The offerings were very similar to other hotels but preparation seems to be the weak link. For example, the sausage appeared to have just thawed and was colder than room temp. The eggs were watery with brown chunks in them, perhaps from scorching the bottom. TLDR: Our needs were minimal and without our difficulties with the key cards and breakfast this would have been a good value. It's concerning that a hotel doesn't have a way to access a room in an emergency scenario.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at the Holiday Inn O'Hare Area and had a fantastic experience! From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere—perfect for getting a good night's rest before my flight. The hotel also has a well-maintained fitness center, which was an added bonus.Overall, the value for money at this Holiday Inn is excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, clean, and comfortable stay near O'Hare Airport. I will definitely stay here again

AAosikademamaThe hotel's location is superb, within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile and a Starbucks Reserve. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options, and you could even make your own waffles. The room rate is quite standard for Chicago.

GGuest UserI had higher expectations from this place considering the price of the room. From pictures online before booking, it looked bigger. Room wasn't as spacious as thought it would. My biggest thing was how outdated a lot of the things looked inside. A mini boom box was there, super small fridge, tv with no option to Bluetooth or cast and the shower head was really gross and grimey including entry doorway to stand up shower. Looked like a $10 Walmart showerhead with little to no water pressure. Super Mini bottles are provided for showering so definitely take your own stuff overnight. Glad I got the standard room as it would be an indicator of me going back and getting a pool included one which is neat $600. The cabinets were dusty, buttons to lights had a broken one and were in a really odd spot right where you sleep and lay your head at. Best part honestly was the front desk service she was super nice and the jacuzzi was ok. Bed sheets were decent and bed was comfortable but felt like I was sinking in some spots probably needing replacement soon too. By the time I had checked into it was late and no use of asking for change but hindsight wish I would've.
