4-Star Hotels in Hubei, China

This was my first time visiting Wudang Mountain, and I was lucky to choose a hotel in the Nanyan area. It was super convenient for climbing Golden Summit, and visiting Nanyan Palace and Zixiao Palace! Taihe Ziyin is the best hotel in the Nanyan area. I opted for a 'Cloud View' room, and on the first day, it was shrouded in mist, while on the third day, I got to witness the sunrise right from my room! The service was good, especially the hotel's private chef. After climbing Golden Summit, I didn't want to go anywhere else, so I ordered tomato and egg noodles at the hotel. Simple, yet delicious! The staff were all very nice! The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room was a bit old. It was quite cold when I first arrived on the mountain, and even with the AC on all night, it wasn't particularly warm, and it was noisy. On the second day, I asked for a space heater, one of those fan heaters. While it kept my legs and feet warm, it was also noisy. At night, I still had to resort to using the AC. Luckily it wasn't winter, otherwise, it might have been unbearable. If they could provide better space heaters, it would be pretty perfect.

The hotel's location is quite good, making it convenient to get everywhere. The rooms are a bit small and the facilities aren't new. The price was acceptable during the Chinese New Year period, but the room's cleanliness really impacted our stay. There were spills that hadn't been wiped up, the trash hadn't been emptied, and the water glasses had mold spots. When we contacted the front desk, the staff said they were too busy because of Chinese New Year and could only address it the next day. The parking lot is very small, but the parking attendant was enthusiastic and had a good service attitude. The soundproofing was decent, and breakfast was just okay.

Atour, a hotel that always feels warm and welcoming. We've stayed at Atour hotels in many different cities. The moment you step through the door, you're greeted by a subtle tea fragrance, and the perfect temperature, whether it's summer or winter. The '100% served tea' offered by the friendly front desk staff, male or female, is always just the right temperature – a single sip melts away all the fatigue of your journey. The room lights automatically switch on, never a harsh white, but a warm, sunset-like glow. The crisp white sheets and the memory foam mattress and pillows feel like being cradled by a cloud the moment you lie down. We always hear such thoughtful and caring greetings: 'Hello,' 'Please let me know if you need anything,' 'Take a bottle of water for the road.' And the late-night congee with pickles and salted duck egg yolk is always so comforting for both heart and stomach. This is probably why Atour isn't dazzling, but just right, leaving a lasting, reassuring impression. Leaving an Atour hotel feels like a temporary farewell to someone who understands you, and every time you return, you never have to re-introduce yourself!

As a loyal fan of Ascott and Somerset, I previously stayed at the Somerset on Wusheng Road, and this time I tried a new Somerset location – it was truly fantastic! The room was spacious and brand new, decorated in my preferred minimalist European style, and the heating was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. Future City is right downstairs, with a Yonghui Supermarket and subway access, making it convenient to get anywhere.

This hotel is wonderful, beds and rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff were exceptional kind, especially Claire Shang, who was working at the front desk. She speaks fluent English and a number of the staff know English as well. Every time I have family or friends visit me, I get them a room at this hotel. Can’t recommend it enough. Plus the breakfast is cheap but yummy, and you can order specific dishes you want like an omelette or scrambled eggs. Plus local Chinese dishes. Also they have a cute robot that can bring amenities to your room if you need them.

Overall, I was satisfied. The hotel met all expectations, and its decor was quite stylish, offering a more distinctive design compared to other hotels in the same price range. The location is convenient for getting around; taxis are readily available. Within walking distance, you can easily reach Xian'anfang, Li Huangpi Road, and the Jiangtan (riverfront), making dining and strolling around very convenient. Breakfast was just okay, lacking any local specialties, which could be improved. Also, I strongly recommend upgrading the hair dryers in the rooms.

I had a very satisfying stay this time. The hotel's location is convenient for both getting around and dining. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive, check-in was efficient and quick, and all my requests were promptly addressed. The common areas were elegant and well-equipped. Overall, it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, and I truly recommend it to everyone!

Although located in a bustling city, the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, truly offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The rooms are spacious, with a wet/dry separated bathroom featuring a standalone island bathtub. High-end ELEMIS toiletries are provided, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a restful sleep that washes away all fatigue. The entire room features smart voice control for lights and curtains, and the scenic rooms offer panoramic and therapeutic views of the city skyline.

The room was clean and tidy, quite close to the river. The facilities were comprehensive, and transportation was convenient. The public areas were clean and elegant, and the room itself was spacious. The amenities provided were high-quality, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay. This was my first time in Yichang, and it was very convenient, being close to Wanda Plaza, a snack street, and the tourist center.

The facilities, hygiene, and environment all deserve five stars. The reason for the low rating is primarily due to the issue pictured in image eight and service problems. The hotel's decor is very stylish, and the room itself is well-designed. I'm quite sensitive to smells, and even though it was a windowless room, there was no strange odor, and the air felt fresh and not stuffy, which I really appreciated. The height of the vanity table was also perfect for applying makeup. The room was very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the extra-large TV was fantastic to watch, plus it came with VIP access. All the advantages mentioned above are due to the hotel's hardware facilities. The service was a bit chaotic, but if it were just a minor service issue, I would have overlooked it and given a high rating because of the excellent hardware. However, the main problem is the safety and privacy issue shown in image eight. Around 2 PM, I was about to take a shower when suddenly my room door was opened by someone using a key card without any warning. It was a stranger, who claimed to be a maintenance worker there to fix the curtains, saying he didn't know there was a guest inside. I don't know how your hotel's internal communication works, but why can a maintenance worker just swipe a key card and enter? I consider this a serious mistake. If I had been a bit faster, I might have been naked in front of a strange man. I've stayed in so many hotels and this is the first time I've encountered something like this – it's outrageous!
