Toilet wasn’t flushing properly. Not all receptionist was the most friendly. But the view was nice.

I had a wonderful stay at Best Western Grant Park Hotel during my visit to Chicago. The hotel's location is one of its biggest advantages—Grant Park is right across the street, and popular attractions like Buckingham Fountain, Millennium Park, the Museum Campus (home to Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum), and the Art Institute of Chicago are all within walking distance. The hotel is quite close to the exhibition center, about a 30-minute walk. There's a park nearby, and it's not far from the lake either. However, the hotel staff had a poor attitude; they were unwilling to provide disposable toiletries, though the guy who helped with luggage storage was good. The room facilities are old, soundproofing is bad, and the bathroom has no extractor fan – the alarm even went off after a shower if the door wasn't closed. It's definitely not worth $350 a night.

The location and surrounding environment were great, but the building was very old, so there were many signs of age in every corner of the room. Fortunately, the bed was clean, so I could sleep comfortably. I think it's a good value-for-money hotel.

Location is perfect as it's just opposite to Lakeview and walking distance to Millennium park. The bust and metro stop is also just around with some nice cafes and restaurants. Staff was friendly and overall environment was decent.

The soundproofing wasn't great. The room I stayed in was decent, and the bathroom was surprisingly large. The location was good, and there's a Trader Joe's just a 3-minute walk away.
