3-Star Hotels in Nagano Prefecture, Japan

Bed is rather small for 2. Room space hard to move about but we managed since it is for a night stay. Like the cleanliness and amenities provided. Location to the main Nagano station helps! Live up to its hotel's name as staff were very welcoming and they smiled 😀

Tokyu Rei hotel is conveniently located right across the street from Nagano station. The rooms are of a good enough size for a short stay for a couple, single, or family with young kids. The beds are comfortable and the room clean. If staying a night or two to experience the Snow Monkey Park and the city of Nagano and it's surroundings, it's a good option. It's within walking distance of Zenjiko shrine, which is large and free to enter. The station is right across the street and offers many restaurants and a grocery store. For convenience, it's a good option.

The location is superb as its just infront of Nagano Station. Room was fine but a bit outdated but still acceptable. The local Japanese staff was really friendly and helpful but the Indian/Bangladeshi guy who was at the receptionist was cocky. We asked whats the nearby attraction places we could go while waiting for the check-in time (because he did not allow early check-in, which still understandable) but he simply said, ‘you can go to the infomation counter at Nagano station’ Bruh???? What’s wrong with you? Who hurt you, brother? Hence, i cant really appreciate his service, but the older Japanese guy was really friendly and tried to help even he was not really fluent in English but i still appreciate his effort. Oh btw, there is no free parking for guests. You will need to park it somewhere else nearby the hotel.

As a loyal Dormy Inn guest, it's my top choice for winter trips. I stayed for three nights, and even though I was worried it might be a bit old since it's been open for a while, it wasn't at all – very clean. For about 250 per person, to get a hotel with a hot spring, sauna, ramen, and massage chairs – what more could you ask for?! You don't have to book breakfast; there's a 7-Eleven next door and a Starbucks across the street. When I pushed open the door to the outdoor bath, it was snowing heavily – a beautiful moment added to life!

The room was incredibly spacious. Although it's a bit of a walk from the station, the soundproofing is excellent, so you won't hear any train noise at night. There's a convenient store nearby, and the hotel even offers a thoughtful Happy Hour with complimentary drinks and snacks. The breakfast was delicious, and I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

The hotel is nice, from the station about 10 minutes walk almost in a straight line, wake up. The room was originally wrong, it was reserved for smokers, even though we don't smoke, the room was given the appropriate one, the smell in it was just not very good, like for those who don't smoke at all, it started already on the floor.But the staff, fortunately, were able to find us a replacement for a non-smoking room, yes, less, yes one big bed instead of two, but with stunning mountain views and a coffee machine. If you want to see cherry blossoms in April, staying here is a good choice. It is not far from Sumiho, Takato Castle, Matsumoto and Hakuba, and is suitable for self-driving tours. The hotel breakfast is quite rich. Okaya Station is right at the door, very convenient.

One of the bigger hotel rooms I have stayed in Japan so far. Free welcome cake and drink, free unlimited ice cream during your stay and a small treat when checking out. They also have the most variety of tea available for you to enjoy during your stay. The hotel is also quite close to the Nagano station. You can see the hotel building when you exit the East exit.

The location was great, very close to Old Karuizawa. Free parking was a huge plus, and they even had two types of hair irons (curling and straightener), a hairdryer, and even the shower head, all from ReFa, which was fantastic. It seems the restaurant gets fully booked, so reservations are recommended.

Perfectly located at Nagano station - connected by walkway bridge with Don Quijote just a few steps away. The staff at front desk were fantastic, always smiling and proactive too! The room is a littler dated but more than comfortable for the night. Amenities at lobby were good enough to get by too, PJs provided at each room floor. Good stopover if you are going for a day trip to the Snow Monkey Park.
