I did enough research before coming here and saw this B&B. I called for consultation at nearly 10 o'clock in the evening and was extremely patient in explaining. After arriving, I was not disappointed. The two children loved it. The aunt would usually lock the door, so the children could Feel free to play in the yard. When we were about to arrive, we told the time. Auntie turned on the air conditioner in advance and prepared fruit tea, which was super heart-warming. Breakfast was also extremely rich every day, and it was very cozy for the whole family to sit in the yard and eat. This B&B is right next to the commercial street. You can go shopping when you go out, but you can't hear the noise when you are in the yard. It is very close to Zini and Longjutang. It can be reached in a few minutes on foot. At night, it is just a short walk away. You can go to the city wall, admire the lights, and ride a bicycle together as a family. Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple are also nearby and can be reached on foot. Finally, I must say that the aunties at the B&B are all super nice. They are very nice and kind in both morning and evening shifts. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and will stay here again next time.

I saw online that it was a new hotel, but the location was good, so I booked it with the mentality of giving it a try. After arriving at the store, I found that the location is perfect, quiet in the midst of a hustle and bustle, near the intersection of the most lively Chenghuangmiao Street and South Street, and there is an exclusive walkway with a unique artistic conception. The store is fully equipped with good brands, including Midea home appliances, smart toilets, and Delixi switches and sockets. For hot water, there is a convenient and hygienic mineral water instant heater. The bathroom is equipped with free disposable toilet seats, disposable bath towels, and disposable towels, which are thick and of good quality. The toiletries are also of good quality, and there are disposable paper cups for drinking water. The temperature in the room is very good. It has floor heating, so it's not cold even in the middle of winter without turning on the air conditioner. The yard is very quiet, the living experience is very good and safe. The most important thing is that the boss is so nice. He gave us a map, introduced several attractions worth visiting in the ancient city and gave travel suggestions. The recommended restaurants were delicious and affordable, much better than those we found ourselves. When we checked out, the boss gave us two bottles of vinegar. From the rooms to the service, I can really feel the owner's attentiveness and taste. He runs this B&B as if it were his own home. If relatives and friends come to the ancient city in the future, I will definitely recommend this place first.

During this trip to Datong, the homestay I stayed in was unexpectedly good! Service details: On the way from picking us up at the South Station to returning to the B&B, the proprietress introduced us to Datong's travel guide and Datong's food, which made me look forward to Datong. When we checked in, she also thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits and snacks, as well as coffee and tea. During your stay, any needs will be responded to promptly, making you feel as comfortable as at home. We came back from a day of fun and were so tired that we didn’t finish our meal. When the boss found out, he even cooked us a bowl of knife-cut noodles. He was so thoughtful. In his spare time, he would chat with us, drink tea, and make freshly ground coffee for us. Treated us like family. On the second day of our stay, the landlady gave us a surprise in the afternoon. She actually went out to buy some delicious jelly and sent it to the room, allowing us to taste the delicacy that we couldn't find on our own. I was touched by the boss lady's enthusiasm towards us. Hygiene: The room is spotless, the bed is tidy, the mattress is moderately soft and hard, there is no peculiar smell in the bathroom, the toiletries are neatly arranged, and there is no dust even in the corners. It is very safe to stay here. The homestay was opened not long ago, and there is no trace of new decoration in the room. The decoration in the house is very design-oriented, and you can tell at a glance that it has been carefully selected and arranged. The whole house also has intelligent voice control. Surrounding environment: The location is very good. You can see the ancient city wall in just ten minutes' walk from the Four Archways. The small scenery in the small courtyard of the homestay is also very warm and cute. You can also watch the stars in the courtyard at night, and the atmosphere is perfect. Breakfast experience: The breakfast is rich and delicious, with local specialty knife-cut noodles (the sauce for the knife-cut noodles is made by the boss lady herself, and the taste is amazing), corn, sweet potatoes, small pumpkins, small cold dishes mixed by the boss lady herself, and fruits. You can eat a full meal every morning and start a full day. When we left, the proprietress drove us to the jelly shop where she had eaten since she was a child to buy some delicious food, and then took us to the train station. This experience in Datong didn't feel like traveling, it felt like I was visiting relatives. They were so warm, thoughtful and considerate. This B&B is perfect in every aspect. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Datong!

The hotel has its own restaurant with high cost performance, inexpensive and delicious food, and good business. The hotel's breakfast is also in this restaurant, with many varieties. There is a water dispenser in the room, which is very convenient. There is free parking at the door, and it is self-driving friendly. It is very close to Yong'an Temple and Hanging Temple by car.

Located near to Taiyuan town bus station. Can walk to the hotel from bus station, or if u tired of walking, can take the public bus from 普化寺 stop to 友谊路口 stop. (FOC, all public bus in Taiyuan Town does not need to pay bus fare). Only one bus stop to the hotel. Very good location. Walking distance to the centre of Taiyuan Town temples. Cos, public buses sometimes are packed, Can choose walking if not tired. Traffic jam in the morning too. Outside hotel is shopping street of the town. Hotel are near to 3 vegetarian restaurants. Can buy flowers baskets and fruits baskets from the shopping street flower n fruits stores if u wanna offering to Buddha. Flowers baskets are huge, price from RMB80. Fruits baskets RMB100. If buy from store outside temples, price might be more than shopping street price. The hotel boss and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Always distributing bottles drinks to us when we leaving hotel. Helped us book van to wutaishan mountain 5 terraces. And helped us book car for our one day trip out of the central, to the temples which are not so accessible by public buses (清凉寺,金阁寺, 竹林寺 and etc). Car booking half day trip is RMB300, full day RMB500. Recommended to book car, less walking up slope, driver can park car straight to temples car park. Thumb up for the hotel services! Thank you! We have a great and memorable trip.

Red lantern Inn gives the best service among all the hotels I’d stayed so far in China. The owner and his wife picked me up from the Train station 20 min away. The location is superb, inside the old city and located just 5 min walk from the North Gate. The Mansion is so beautiful and well kept for hundreds years old building unless you like everything new or modern. The best part is Xiao Lei, the sweet and polite inn keeper who’s extremely helpful although we had to use Google translator to communicate. He goes all out of his ways to do anything to make your stay comfortable and your visit enjoyable. He cannot explain how to but the ticket for the Old city, so he walks with me to the office. He also drives an electric truck to deliver my luggages to the north gate and call the taxi for me to the airport. I’ll definitely come back to stay here if I come visit Pingyaogucheng again. I completely recommend this inn to everyone.

Excellent. Done in the traditional hotel style but with very modern in-room amenities. Bathroom is clean and private, with nice shower including good quality—free flow—shampoo and bodywash, clean toilet and a proper door (no glass bathrooms here!). It’s so hard to find a hotel room like this these days. Most importantly, all the staff were totally amazing, and the manager is so friendly and keen to help and can speak some English which makes things all the easier. There are quite a few shaokao and noodle places around the hotel, and importantly, the snowman drink place (蜜雪冰城) is not too far away! The hotel is just a couple of Ks south of the most popular entrance to the amazing ancient wall (大同古城), and in the other direction, about five hundred metres to another nice park called Mingtan Park where I flew my new drone for the first time ever while a local man practiced perfectly his Taoist meditation completely undeterred by the annoying whirring sound of the drone! My only regret is not planning more than a single night here. There’s so much more to Datong than just the Yungang Grottoes and the Hengshan Hanging Temple (though they are both totally spectacular!), so stay a couple of nights at least if you can.
JI Hotel (Luliang Century Plaza)

When I first arrived at the hotel, I was shocked by the environment at the entrance. There was a ruin opposite, and I felt like I was living in a very remote place. Fortunately, it was not far from the mall, and it was just a starting price. There are ground parking lots and underground parking lots. It is best to park on the ground if there is a place on the ground. I went down once and it was too gloomy, and there were a lot of machines. The front desk service was very good and enthusiastic, and the problem could be solved in time by calling, which might be the most comforting point. The breakfast was hard to say. The meal started at 7 o'clock, and there was nothing when I went there at 7:30, not even chopsticks. Although the waiter was trying to replenish it, the replenishment was not enough to consume it. In the end, I ate a lot of cold food, which made me feel uncomfortable. I asked and was told that it was because they received a tour group at 6:30, so they couldn't let the people behind them go without food. It should be expected based on the accommodation situation.

What an amazingly unexpected service we received from Carter and the hotel management at Longxuanju! We were picked up at the train station with a big welcoming smile by Carter and Ms Zhang, hotel manager. Afterwards, Carter drove us to have lunch and tour the ancient town. When we got back to the inn at night, we were served tea and some sweets in the courtyard area. The next day Carter gave us a ride to/from Yungang Grottoes. Then we were taken to the train station early in the morning with breakfast thoughtfully packed to go. Longxuanju is only 15min walk from the ancient town and located steps from one of the gate to city wall which is really nice to stroll at night. The room was stocked with fruits, snacks and water. And you can enjoy watching TV on the large movie screen in the room! We had an unforgettable experience in Datong thanks to Carter and hotel management!
