Really nice views, good location close to shopping centre and easy to navigate your way around the city from there, has a nice little gym and a pool and even a tennis court aswell as a sauna, right on the river to can see the sunrise and sunset, I enjoyed my stay has a full kitchen and all of the utensils and pots and pans.

I booked a 3-bedroom apartment, but didn't have high expectations since it was a motel. However, it was cleaner than I thought and not bad at all. It's a bit far from the city center, so I had to use Uber frequently. Still, the accommodation fee was cheap enough that even with the Uber costs, it was still a good deal. It takes about 10 minutes by Uber to get to the city center, and you can just do your grocery shopping at a supermarket there and take an Uber back.

Easy access, all digital entry sent to mobile in a timely manner. Room was clean and fairly new. Great bed. Included shower items such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Great price. Many restaurants short walk away.

Traveling solo, I found this place quiet and clean. The only minor drawback was the slightly dated facilities, but everything else was perfect. The price was also reasonable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm on a road trip in New Zealand.

Overall, I was satisfied with the value for money. The location wasn't bad either, which was great because I could get around Brisbane to the city center and main attractions without worrying about transportation costs. The room was cleaner than I expected, and most importantly, it was convenient to connect my phone to the TV to watch shows. Cable TV worked well too. All in all, it's not a super luxurious hotel, but for this price, it's a perfectly satisfying place to stay!

Hides Hotel in Cairns offers exceptional value for money. This century-old hotel has a unique city vibe and is perfectly located in the heart of downtown. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Esplanade, night markets, and the Great Barrier Reef terminal, surrounded by a multitude of restaurants and shops, making getting around incredibly convenient. The guest rooms are clean and tidy, equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and free Wi-Fi, and the beds are soft and comfortable for a good night's sleep. The front desk staff are warm and helpful and can assist with booking reef tours. The spacious, vintage veranda is perfect for relaxing. It's definitely a top choice for budget travelers, and I'll stay here again next time I'm in Cairns.

I stayed three nights here, and have zero cause for complaint. Great location, service, and a television that didn't require manual bypassing or cable calisthenics to actually access the most basic features those of us who live in the 21st century have become accustomed to (installing Spotify and listening to the exact same song for 64 hours straight...via the Bluetooth capability, recently released from Hotel-Lock Television Incarceration).

The staff were incredibly friendly. Also, I felt very secure and at ease knowing that a card key was required to enter both the hotel entrance and the rooms, which is a great security feature. The $10 dinner at the attached pub, which was pizza when I went, had a crispy crust and was absolutely delicious – I was extremely satisfied.

The location is wonderful. 3 min walk from Roma St station where the airport train stops and the greyhound/flix buses depart. The beds are so comfortable, great mattresses and pillows. There is a lockable cabinet in the bed pod to store valuables which is useful but it is a bit annoying because you bang your legs on it if you move in your sleep. It’s clean enough to sleep and exist in but really the cleaning standards need improving as it’s pretty dirty. There is a kitchen that has everything you need. The hostel tries to make it social with activities everyday but it’s not really a social hostel. There’s a lot of Asian travellers who don’t really interact with other people, only their phones.
