Fantastic hotel! This hotel truly captures the essence of traditional Southern Min architecture, with its red walls, decorative tiles, and classic design, exuding a rich, ancient charm. The courtyard garden is beautiful, offering a peaceful and comfortable environment. The rooms are well-equipped and provide a very pleasant stay. Plus, you can enjoy the hot springs to unwind after your travels. The staff are incredibly attentive; they offered fruit tea upon check-in and proactively shared sightseeing routes and recommended local attractions. Their attention to detail made for a wonderful overall experience and a very comfortable stay. A special shout-out to the concierge at the front desk: after checking out, I realized I'd left something behind, and the concierge not only contacted me but personally delivered it back. Their responsibility and thoughtfulness were truly heartwarming. From the environment and facilities to the service, everything was impeccable, making for an absolutely amazing experience. If you're visiting Zhangzhou, staying here offers incredible value for money!

This hotel offered a wonderfully thoughtful stay. The moment we arrived, the front desk attendant greeted us with a big, friendly smile. Her warm and considerate demeanor made us feel truly welcomed. We were just about to head out when it started pouring rain, and she proactively warned us about the slippery conditions and kindly lent us an umbrella, which was a real lifesaver for our outing. The hotel's location is also excellent, right in the middle of a bustling food street. This made ordering takeout incredibly convenient; our food arrived shortly after placing an order. Getting to nearby attractions by taxi was also quick and inexpensive. Plus, the hotel lobby has a dedicated cultural and creative products section, which was a huge bonus for us out-of-towners. We didn't have to go far to find a souvenir shop; we could easily pick up suitable gifts right there, which was very convenient.

This hotel is right by Lianhua Road subway station on Line 1, which makes getting around super convenient – the metro is right outside! The room facilities and amenities were pretty good, and the hotel even upgraded my room! So lucky, I was able to check in at 10 AM! The hygiene was excellent, and the room itself was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly, especially Eason at the front desk! All in all, a wonderful stay. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Xiamen!!

The location is truly fantastic, just across the street, it is a metro station ( Wenzoa) on line-1. Right next to the metro station, it is a mini mall ( KFC, Pizza Just, Grocery store & many local eateries), so it is very convenient. The hotel room is comfortable, clean, functional & it is equipped with a free laundry room. On the same metro line, you can reach most tourist spots ( Gulangyu island, Zhongshan road & others). The hotel is bit tired, but overall it is a fantastic good-value proposition. I will stay there again.

The location is super convenient, just a three-minute walk to Shudou subway station. There are also shopping malls nearby. The hotel itself is new and clean, and you can even monitor your laundry and drying progress right from the smart TV. I would definitely stay at this Hampton by Hilton again if I have the chance.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's within walking distance of Quanzhou's main attractions, yet cleverly tucked away from the noisy crowds. It's only a 10-minute walk to Quanzhou Kaiyuan Temple, allowing you to soak in the cultural atmosphere of Quanzhou's Licheng District as you stroll. The hotel facilities are very new, maintaining the consistently high quality of Atour Hotels. Parking at this Atour hotel is incredibly convenient, with plenty of spacious spots both underground and on the surface. The staff at Atour Hotels always make you feel welcome; they're never cold or overly enthusiastic, striking just the right balance.

Xiamen Tai Nung Hotel - Extremely Satisfied Stay, Highly Recommended! My entire stay at Xiamen Tai Nung Hotel was absolutely fantastic, a truly comfortable travel and accommodation experience that I simply have to rave about! First and foremost, the location is absolutely perfect, making transportation incredibly convenient. The hotel is right by Heping Wharf, and you can walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street in just a few minutes, making shopping and dining super easy. It's also very convenient for taking a boat to Gulangyu Island, being close to the ferry terminal, so no long journeys. There are also subway stations and multiple bus lines nearby, saving time and hassle whether you're visiting various attractions or heading back home – it's just so tourist-friendly. Secondly, the hotel service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, genuinely feeling sincere throughout. The front desk staff were warm and friendly during check-in, communication was smooth, and they even offered a free room upgrade, giving us a more spacious and comfortable room than expected. Considering our travel plans, they also kindly extended our check-out time, so we didn't have to rush our itinerary and could rest and pack more leisurely. These small details show how considerate they are, and the staff were patient, meticulous, and always provided excellent service. Additionally, the hotel's dining options were a huge bonus, full of thoughtful touches. The hotel thoughtfully provides afternoon tea and late-night snacks. The afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious, allowing us to taste authentic Southern Fujian snacks – perfect for an afternoon break. The late-night snacks offered a rich variety, including warming and comforting dishes like Angelica beef noodles and Satay noodles. Coming back to the hotel after a tiring day of sightseeing and enjoying a portion instantly cured our travel fatigue. This thoughtful service truly hits the spot. Overall, Xiamen Tai Nung Hotel boasts an excellent location, heartwarming service, attention to detail, and incredible value for money. Choosing this hotel for your trip to Xiamen is a sure bet, you won't be disappointed! I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Xiamen!

Facilities: It's not a smart hotel, and the facilities are indeed a bit old, but it doesn't affect the stay. Hygiene: It's clean, but the room cleaning is just average. Environment: It's very close to Xiamen's Eighth Market, which is really convenient. The BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) stop is right across the street. Service: The service was enthusiastic. The front office manager kindly upgraded my room for free and thoughtfully informed me that the upgraded room would face the main street and might be noisy. But in reality, I found it not noisy at all, very nice!

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

GGuest UserThis is a pretty good hotel. It's always well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. The only thing is the price fluctuates quite a bit; it was 270 for two rooms on the first day, but 360 for two rooms by the third day. The soundproofing is usually good, but yesterday, May 20th, everyone might have been too excited because the room next door was a bit noisy. Other than that, everything else was fine.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs. The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious. The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

QQingfengcheyingThis hotel is located in Fuzhou's Dongjie district, and the transportation is incredibly convenient. Within a 5-to-20-minute walk, you can reach Dongbai Department Store, Sanfang Qixiang, and Daming Food Street. Fuzhou West Lake and Fujian Museum are about a 30-minute walk away. The airport shuttle bus stop is just an 8-minute walk, and Dongjiekou Metro Station is around 6 minutes away! The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, and the service was excellent. Great value for money, definitely recommended!

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's design and ambiance. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. It featured a projector, an automatic toilet, and smart room modes; with just a press of a button, the lighting and other settings would adjust automatically. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. There's a courier station just a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast spread offered a good variety too! Everything tasted delicious – flavorful, not too salty or greasy. I especially recommend the *jiuniang* (sweet fermented rice soup), Sihuanhua, fried eggs, and the freshly made noodles. The staff were all very warm and friendly, always greeting us. Knowing we had traveled a long distance, they even gave us a small gift bag containing some snacks and water to help us re-energize for our journey. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! (They even upgraded us for free as our originally booked room type wasn't available due to a late check-out. *Please note: The attached photo is of the upgraded room, not our original booking.*)

AAnonymous UserI usually do not choose homestay when other modes are available. However in Yunshuiyao homestay is the only choice. Given that 1949 has to preserve the local architecture do not expect 5 star hotel facilities. For all the constraints of a ”min su” the staff do go the distance to ensure they meet the demands of guests. I checked out a happy guest and will recommend 1949 to other travelers.

Llaipeng123Half the joy of this short trip came from this hotel! Its location is perfect – tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet convenient for sightseeing, allowing you to enjoy peaceful downtime. The hotel environment is super comfortable, with greenery tastefully sprinkled throughout the public areas, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room was cozy and spotless, with soft lighting design; it was so relaxing to curl up on the sofa and binge-watch shows at night. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful. For breakfast, there were freshly made noodles and authentic Chinese pastries that tasted amazing, and even the coffee was freshly ground. The hotel also offers small drinks, and enjoying the breeze and scenery in the evening was incredibly therapeutic. The service was consistently excellent, with every staff member wearing a smile, making you feel incredibly welcome. This hotel has definitely made it onto my 'must-revisit' list!

GGuest User1949 truly feels like an idyllic retreat, far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet brimming with local charm. It's conveniently located very close to the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster (Four Dishes and One Soup). The front desk and service staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We booked a family suite with a slide, which was an absolute hit with the kids! They played all evening, and there was constant laughter – it was truly delightful and excellent value for money. We had dinner at the hotel, and it was also fantastic – the chef truly puts thought into every dish. Breakfast by the stream, listening to the gentle babbling water and enjoying the crisp morning air, offered a truly unique and wonderful experience. Simply wonderful! 👍
