Villa Hotel
"There were so many things, but overall, all the staff were very hardworking, kind and good people! First of all, it seems that the reservation for 4 nights that I had made on Trip.com was not made at the time of check-in. There are many staff members, but there are only about two staff members who can communicate in English without any problems, and it was difficult to find them every time lol. I was hurriedly guided to my room, but I couldn't find the air conditioner remote control, and a staff member just brought me a towel (probably the room was hastily provided, so it was not fully prepared?) When I asked for the remote control at that time, they brought it to me relatively quickly. The wi-fi password was handwritten on the phone, but it was faded and I couldn't read it, so I looked for a staff member again and asked lol. I thought there would be hot water, but it was room temperature (it was a little cold at first, but if you try hard to take a shower, it feels like it's getting warmer for some reason, but it was exactly the same temperature lol) and the water pressure was quite weak. I asked the staff, but it seems that the temperature probably can't be changed. I asked them for at least the water pressure, and it improved a little. However, the water pressure was weak again the next night, so I asked them to adjust the water pressure every day for four days before taking a shower. When the staff came to check the water pressure, they stood on the bath mat with their shoes on, and the bath mat turned black because the shoes were wet with water... This happened two days in a row, so we told them that the water pressure had improved and it was okay to check it. It may be a cultural difference, but I guess they don't care about guests' bath mats turning black. The laundry service, free bicycle rental, and currency exchange that were listed on Trip.com (same as ***********) were not available lol The location is nice, right in front of the sea. It's a 10-20 minute walk to the town, but I was so scared of the stray dogs at night (they sleep and relax during the day, but are super active at night...) that I had to use a tuk-tuk every time. The hotel itself is not bad, but the shower was the only thing that bothered me. There were also frequent power outages every day. (It wasn't particularly difficult, but it sometimes took several hours lol) The staff were all really trying to solve the problem and listen to our requests. They were very calm and friendly, and always had a shy smile lol However, their English was quite weak, so it was necessary to be patient and communicate."
Neem Tree House, Trincomalee
"This place was truly special, with clean spacious rooms and in a great location to explore the rest of the town and beach. The owner and staff made us feel at home, with their hospitality and dining experience. I highly recommend a stay at Neem Tree House. I would go back in a heartbeat."
Nilaveli Beach Hotel
"We had a wonderful experience at this place. The staff..the ambience.. the food..the managers..all are well behaved and very polite helpful."
Nilaveli Royal Paradise
"A truly fantastic hotel, very clean, the staff is always available and you feel like royalty. The food is excellent and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful time relaxing!"
Havana Club Resort
"Amazing hotel with so nice and kind people. They treat you like a family. Hotel is so close to the beach, aprox 3min by foot. Room is very clean and comfortable. Hotel provide beach towels. Hotel have a nice pool. They serve breakfast every morning. Breakfast is fabulous, every morning they serve freshly juices (papaya, mango, passion fruit, pineapple), scrambled eggs, pancakes (rice or coconuts), some local dishes ( sorry, but I a am forgot the name), fresh fruits, coffee and tea, avocado, marmalade with butter and much more. Food is so delicious. They prepare dinner for us, few time, and dinner was amazing. For dinner they made fish or curry, depends what you want. The menager is excellent, he does a good job. We staying 12 days, and they arranged for us, a free trip to Marble beach, it was amazing experience. Hotel is very clean. If you choose this hotel, you will not regret it. I had the best service in this hotel so far, and I have stayed in many hotels. Last but not least, last day, manager mother made cookies for us, for the trip. ❤️ Like I am said, I never feel kindness like in this hotel. Thank you team for everything, you are amazing. I hope so we will see again!"
Trinco Star Cabana
"This hotel was fabulous. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were a joy. The location is also really convenient. Overall it was great value and I would 100% stay here again."
Aa Inn
"The price and quality correspond. Cleaning is only on request, and the linen is not changed. There are no shampoos or conditioners, they put a small soap. The staff is polite and friendly. There is a parking lot, air conditioning in the room, weak wi-fi. In general, a simple and budget hotel, worth the money. Of course, you should not expect something extraordinary."
Anukama Resort
"Very nice hotel with good service! Swimming pool, air conditioning, good wifi and friendly staff."
Hotel Jay R
"Actually that hotel facilities are very nice. And also their customer services were very superb❤️Thank you for your greatful service"

Nilaveli Boutique Hotel
"A terrible experience. Our plan was to relax and do PADI diving, so we booked for three nights with a 24-hour cancellation policy. The room was awful; it smelled damp, crows were croaking on the ceiling, and it was very noisy. The window wouldn't even open. The room was actually more expensive than many other options in Upuveli or other more interesting areas. The worst part is that we only stayed one night and canceled the other two because they didn't give us any trouble. They told us they would refund our money, then excused themselves by saying that Booking.com's policies didn't allow it. A complete lie. Then they said they would refund it but that they weren't a big hotel and couldn't afford such excuses. Two weeks later, we're still waiting for a refund of about €80. Day after day, they keep giving us the runaround, saying they've gone to the bank and the transfer should be arriving soon, but we never get an answer. I don't recommend this place so you don't have the same bad experience we did. The room we were assigned was nothing like the ones shown in the pictures on ***********, TripAdvisor, or Google. There's nothing around, and few restaurants. The receptionist was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. The cancellation and refund process was terrible."
Oceanfront Condominium - Nilaveli
"Recently i visited Ocean Condos Villa Nilaveli with my husband and two friends and we had a great time there. Also the rooms are very clean and nice with good views. Worth for the price too. Special thanks to Mr. Roy GM and Sales Manager Tryan for the quick response and friendliness. Also the front desk Roshan and all the other staff members were really nice people and very helpful throughout our stay."
Sunstar Nilaveli
"The hotel is clean en nice. The swimming pool was also full of flies. Its easy for them to remove, but didn t do it. The staff of the hotel is terrible. All srilankans are allways friendly, but these tamil muslims are very rude. Didn t get towels when we asked. Never ever come back to this hotel."
Casamia Oceanfront Condo Nilaveli
Secret Escape Nilaveli Ayurveda Hotel & Spa
"There is no facility that they mention here. Not as beautiful as in the photos. The kitchen is not clean and Additional money is charged for kitchen equipment.. Only the money required by the owner. I will never recommend to anyone this place. I'm very unsatisfied. 😡(Only minor servants are innocent)"
Amaranthe Bay Resort & Spa
"What a amazing resort. Staff are wonderful, attentive and friendly. They can't do enough for you. Families are well kept & maintained. Pool is stunning & large with a spa area. Buffet breakfast & dining is sensational. Thank you Arun, Kirujan, Ranu, Hiruni, Sangeeth, Naresh, Atheef, Karthick, Prem, Mayuran & the rest of the team for making us feel very welcome"
Sea Zone Hotel Nilaveli

Hotel Tobiko
"A great hotel!!! We spent 7 nights there. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They cooked large shrimp for us and took us to Marble Beach, for an additional fee, of course. Breakfasts weren't very varied, but they were generous and filling. The hired help, a tall young man, was very helpful with our baby, playing with him while we ate. He even asked to be held. The girls who prepared our breakfast were also very sweet and kind. Our room was on the third floor, and we had the entire veranda to ourselves. It was very convenient for playing with the baby, hanging up wet clothes, looking at the stars, or drinking morning coffee. My husband smoked. The location is also good—third building from the beach. The beach is quite clean, much cleaner than in the tourist area of Uppuvelli. There are plenty of fruit stalls and cafes nearby where locals eat—not as Instagrammable as tourist restaurants, but still delicious and three times cheaper. Cons: - There's no place to hang clothes in the room—no closet, no hooks, nothing to hang clothes on—we had a mountain of clothes in our suitcase and around it. We hung a lot of clothes on the veranda. - There was always a pack of local stray dogs by the fence; they're harmless but noisy. - There's no hot water. While it was cloudy, showering was uncomfortable, but it was fine later. - The WiFi is poor; I had better reception on the veranda. - There's no TV. It wasn't advertised, of course, but it was boring to wait out the midday sun without one. We're unlikely to return here again due to the wide variety of hotels, but for less demanding travelers, the place is perfectly fine."
WoodyCrest
"This place is wonderful and the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, he gave us a great service and we are extremely happy and we will definitely recommend this place for everyone. The sunrise is just amazing from the rooms of this place."
Hotel Sun Blue
"Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and flexible staff. 5 minits to the amazing beach. The ATM, restaurants and mini supermarkets are nearby. There is a fridge in the kitchen to store your own stuff and have the facility to cook your food. Highly recommended!"
