It was a privilege to stay at this lovingly restored hotel. The hotel has kept its old world charm, whilst adding today's comforts and efficiency. My room, the lobby, the bar, the pool, the restaurant and the corridoors are architecturally sights to behold. The food, drink and snacks are delicious. However, the welcome and warmth of the hotel staff - tops even the splendour of the hotel itself! They are kind, helpful and generous. Thank you to everyone associated with Raffles for my superb long weekend.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Palace Gate Hotel & Resort. The location is perfect and the customer service was fantastic. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast offered was delicious and there was a nice variety to choose from daily. My son loved the pool. The hotel environment was relaxing which was much needed after being out during the day touring the city.

Good points - The view was good because it was high up - All the staff were interested and welcoming, so it was a little burdensome, but it felt good. - The breakfast was great, and the service at the restaurant was great. - I was grateful for the decoration + birthday cake for my birthday request. Disappointing points - It's not 100% open yet, so there aren't many restaurant choices, and the spa isn't open yet - It was a little noisy when I showered. - The guest room window curtains are manual, not automatic - The bathroom is a little small - The towels are new, so they're a little loose Overall, I was satisfied.

Stayed here on business just for one night. Staff extremely friendly and arranged an airport pick up. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and extremely well appointed. I’m 1.95m tall so a large bed is important for me and I had the best night sleep for ages. There is little noise, so it is a hidden gem. I think it only opened in August so everything is new. Highly recommended.

Chinese investment, very new hotel, so new that many facilities are not yet built. I booked it specially to experience it when I was on a business trip. There is a five-star sign issued by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism in the lobby, and on the other side is the entrance to the apartment (I didn't look closely, but I probably haven't officially moved in yet). Let's talk about the advantages first: Most of the employees I met in the front desk restaurant can speak Chinese, and there are several Chinese employees, so communication is convenient. The room price is not expensive, the room is about the level of the all-season, very clean, with a balcony but the surrounding area is undeveloped, so there is no scenery. There are domestic TV channels and many international channels, and the food in the mini bar is not expensive. The infinity pool and glass plank road on the top floor are great for taking pictures, but the swimming pool seems to be unavailable. The restaurant on the second floor is basically Chinese food, and there are special dishes for a few dollars every day, which is very suitable for Chinese stomachs. Then talk about the disadvantages: 1. The room has a bit of a bad smell, not sure if it is a problem with the air conditioning system or the sewer, because I live on the 20th floor, it is probably a problem with the central air conditioning. 2. The shower room is too small, about one square meter, and fat people definitely can't move around. 3. I booked the room through Ctrip. When I checked in, there were some benefits indicated, such as welcome fruits for late check-out. Unfortunately, I don’t know what went wrong in the communication between the hotel and Ctrip, and it was not confirmed until I checked out the next day. Finally, I would like to give a suggestion to the owner: There are about 30 guest rooms on each floor, and it is roughly estimated that the hotel has more than 300 guest rooms. With this volume, there are only 1-2 employees at the front desk (two people at check-in and only one person at check-out). A deposit is required for check-in and room inspection is required for check-out. There is reason to suspect that if the occupancy rate is high, it will be too late to receive guests. When I checked in, I waited for about 20 minutes because some guests who checked out were arguing about the fee. The number of front desk staff should at least double to be enough to cope with it.
