5-Star Hotels in Luoyang

This hotel is excellent, truly deserving its place on this year's Black Pearl Guide. It's perfectly located right outside the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area, and very convenient for reaching the high-speed train station or the city center. The surrounding area features Longmen Ancient Street, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel itself has a fantastic design, making it very photogenic. What's even better is the attractive price – the value for money is outstanding; I doubt you'll find a better deal on the entire Black Pearl list.

Pros: The hotel boasts a garden-style design, offering a resort-like feel. Its proximity to the Longmen Grottoes is a major plus, making it very convenient. Guests can access the shuttle bus to the grottoes directly from the hotel's parking lot – just ask the front desk for details. The rooms are clean with relatively new facilities. The front desk staff provided excellent service, upgrading my room and offering a late check-out. There were welcome fruits, and customer service was very responsive. During check-out, the lobby staff proactively helped with our luggage and even took a family photo for us. Thank you for your warm service! 🥰 Areas for improvement: 1. The breakfast restaurant staff lacked service awareness. We were a group of 8 (6 adults, 2 children) and had booked 3 rooms. Our two children were slightly over the height limit, and the staff insisted we pay for their breakfast, with an unyielding attitude. This was a disappointment for a five-star hotel and negatively impacted our stay. The breakfast variety and taste were also mediocre. 2. Some electrical outlets in the lobby corners show signs of aging wires, posing a potential safety hazard. Parents with young children should be mindful of this. We hope the hotel addresses this issue promptly by inspecting and replacing old wiring and outlets.

Ramada Luoyang, choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision this time. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, and the location is central. It's very convenient to walk or take a taxi to Yingtiangate and Mingtang-Tiantang. The room was clean, spacious, well soundproofed, and the bedding was comfortable. The beef soup for breakfast is a must-try, very authentic. The service details were exceptional: welcome fruit, welcome card, free minibar, and a souvenir upon check-out. There's a supermarket and a shopping mall nearby, and the subway station isn't far, with easy access to both Line 1 and Line 2. Staying here when visiting Luoyang is hassle-free and comfortable. Definitely five-star worthy!

Luoyang is truly a city you won't want to leave once you've arrived! So many museums to explore, endless beautiful sights to see. I stayed here for all 4 days of my trip, and the hotel was fully equipped, with excellent service and a fantastic location. It's far enough from the noisy city center but still conveniently close to the attractions – a taxi to any major scenic spot never cost more than 15 yuan. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Very good, great service! We originally planned to stay for one day, but the air was fresh and the environment was great by the reservoir. With the upgraded service, we stayed one more night. The room was clean and tidy, with floor heating and air conditioning fully equipped. It was highly intelligent, with a wide view and a great lake view. Special thanks to the kitchen and front desk for their support and help. The children worked hard to take care of us during the Spring Festival. Thank you! The overall environment is pretty good, and the breakfast at 68 is reasonably priced. The room had water and 4 complimentary drinks. The room itself was quite nice, and the staff were friendly. However, because the hotel is so large, finding the elevators was confusing. The map provided wasn't very clear. There should be more recognizable signs on the walls indicating room numbers and elevator directions. A concerning incident was when I couldn't find an elevator after walking around for a long time, so I decided to take the stairs down. To my surprise, the door on the first floor was locked. I had to go back up to the second floor to find an elevator. For safety, how can the bottom door of a fire escape be locked?

I was torn between the Marriott and Courtyard, figuring I'd be out sightseeing most of the time. I ended up choosing the Courtyard and booked an executive room. The room was great, and the service was exceptional. The executive lounge service was also excellent. Taxis to all the attractions were under 20 RMB, and it wasn't as noisy as staying right in the ancient city. When I checked in, I added Yuki from the front desk on WeChat, and she was always there to help with any questions I had, just a message away. She even helped us plan our breakfast to save time and money, which led us to extend our stay for another day. Yuki also arranged for us to stay in the same room for the extension, which saved us a lot of hassle. All in all, this trip was fantastic.

Huge thanks to Karen, the Front Office Manager, for helping us get a room upgrade and planning our itinerary in advance. The concierge was super friendly, greeting us warmly and assisting with our luggage. The lovely lady at check-in thoughtfully offered us hot drinks, and Vivian at the front desk even gave us a kind reminder and some water for our journey when we were heading out. We really appreciate it! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff on our floor were so attentive. They noticed we'd run out of water, left a sweet note, and brought extra bottles, which made our Christmas feel incredibly warm and special.

I had heard about Huayang's excellent service before, and experiencing it firsthand was truly wonderful. Upon check-in, I was offered a hot towel to clean my hands. The front desk lady smoothly took my ID and immediately put a protective cover on it. The room was clean and tidy, and there was an abundance of toiletries. Every staff member was very friendly, always greeting me with a nod whenever we met. During a typhoon, my laundry wasn't drying well, and the staff promptly helped me resolve the issue. What really stood out was returning to find my clothes, which I had hung in the bathroom, had been taken out and neatly arranged on a drying rack. It felt like a 'snail girl' (a mythical helpful fairy) had visited – these small gestures made me feel incredibly cared for. Next time I'm in Luoyang, I will definitely stay at Huayang again. Looking forward to my next visit!

Staying at the Hilton in Luoyang was a great experience! I have to give a special shout-out to Alin and Gyro at the front desk. Check-in was super quick, and Alin even thoughtfully gifted us some local specialty cookies. Gyro was incredibly helpful in answering our questions about getting around. The service was genuine and not just going through the motions. The room was clean, and the location was very convenient for getting around. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations.
