Ttangtang741The Wyndham Liyang Jian Gu was an absolutely amazing experience! Tucked away in a bamboo forest valley, the air is fresh and the privacy is exceptional, truly giving off a serene wilderness vibe. The room was spacious and elegant, the bedding comfortable, and the amenities high-end. The mini-bar drinks were complimentary, and they even thoughtfully provided welcome fruit. The cliffside hot springs offered breathtaking views, soaking in the spring while admiring the bamboo forest was incredibly healing and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was rich and delicious, featuring both Western and local specialties. A special thanks to our butler, Chen Tiancao 🌿, for their consistently enthusiastic and attentive service – quick to respond and wonderfully thoughtful, making our stay superb! We'll definitely choose this place for our next vacation!

The hotel is right on the shore of Tianmu Lake. Manager Zeng kindly upgraded us to a lake-view room for free 🥳 The floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the lake, and sitting by the window, we could enjoy the view – very pleasant! While the hotel facilities are consistent with renovations from 10 years ago, they were clean and tidy.
The room included a 100 RMB voucher for authentic Tianmu Lake fish head hot pot, which we ordered a day in advance from Manager Zeng. The soup was indeed delicious, and the fish was tender – clearly made with fresh fish. It was great value after the discount! We also ordered celery and pork ribs, which came to about 100 RMB per person. Lunch at the hotel ends at 1 PM, so it's recommended to book in advance with the manager.
The hotel package includes a complimentary bicycle for one hour of riding. We actually rode for about 3 hours, starting around 10:30 AM and returning around 1:30 PM. The hotel provided Giant mountain bikes, which were excellent and comfortable to ride! At Tianmu Lake scenic area, only electric bikes are available for rent; bicycles are almost nonexistent, and family bicycles are even less common! The hotel's (actually free) bicycle rental service was fantastic! Our route was hotel-Shahe Bridge-hotel, and the return trip on Highway 1 was almost entirely downhill with beautiful scenery – a truly wonderful experience!
The hotel's hot spring is outdoor; you need to bring your swimsuit if you want to use it. Guests can use the outdoor hot spring for free. We didn't bring our swimsuits, and it felt a bit chilly outside, so we skipped it. Our manager recommended an indoor hot spring in Liyang city called Jinsha Hot Spring, about a 25-minute drive from the scenic area. We took our child there; it cost 80 RMB per person, including one meal, and allowed 12 hours of use – also quite good!

The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. It truly is a great spot for relaxation and wellness. We booked a Deluxe Lake View Room, and the hotel even upgraded us for free to a Luxury Lake View Room. The hotel also offers a variety of fun amenities for children, making it perfect for families with kids. What's even more appealing to visitors is the Cloud Top Observation Deck, which offers panoramic views of Tianmu Lake's beautiful scenery, with lush mountains and clear waters as far as the eye can see – truly a feast for the eyes. It's worth mentioning that the breakfast restaurant is grand and situated right by Tianmu Lake. You can enjoy your breakfast while taking in the stunning lake and mountain views, which really enhances your appetite. The Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, with plenty of choices, and the prices are quite reasonable. However, there was one minor disappointment: we wanted to rent the electric scooter with a sidecar located at the entrance of the children's playground. After a series of complicated scanning procedures, the screen displayed that we were over 65 years old and denied us use. How wonderful it would have been to explore the beautiful scenery around the hotel on that electric scooter with a sidecar! We had no problems driving 260 kilometers from Shanghai to the hotel ourselves! We understand that the hotel's concern for the safety of older guests is valid, so we suggest that it would be more accommodating to allow older individuals with a valid driver's license to use it. Overall, this hotel is still very good. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Tianmu Lake in the future.

I saw several public accounts recommending Ctrip’s package for 999 for 2 nights, but there were a lot of bad reviews on Ctrip. It was a newly opened store and the hot springs were not equipped yet, etc., so I bought one at random. When I was still thinking about buying it, I found that Ctrip had taken it off the shelves and only sold a few dozen copies. It was not very popular.
Later, when I wanted to make an appointment, I found that the dates were all full. I asked Ctrip and found out that her family was selling package meals in **, so Ctrip helped to make the reservation successfully. I looked at it, hehe, it’s much more expensive than what I bought [laughing]
The service was very good. I just got off the train and at 10 am, the front desk housekeeper Rose called and told me that I could check in. I was very happy. After all, it was below zero in Liyang on the Lantern Festival day and it was freezing to me. . Hurry to the hotel~
There are 2 parking lots in the hotel. The one further inside is equipped with charging piles and can also park gas trucks. The uncle in the parking lot is very nice. He watched us park and took us into the hotel gate, where the waiters inside continued to guide us. ~
Checked in at the front desk and got an upgrade. The big bed room facing the water is great. It has the same layout. I prefer this bright water-facing room. It is brighter than Zhujiajiao Anlu. I don’t know the relationship between Anyue and Anlu Amansa. [Silly laugh] They are all from generation An~
You can drink freely from the minibar, and you can refill it the next day~ The toilet comes with a washlet, and the hair dryer is from Dyson, and it comes with 5 heads, wow! The location of the bathtub is good. You can watch TV while soaking in the bath. The TV can be projected [strong]
After we arrived at the room, we also had floor housekeeper Anna. She responded quickly to whatever we needed, and also introduced places to eat nearby. We tried 3 nearby farms and they were all good.
The breakfast day is a weekend, so it is a buffet. The homemade yogurt is good, and the noodle stall is good, but the steamed food is not hot enough. Wonton noodles, etc., you can also drink coffee and milk for yourself. If you need a set meal delivered to the room, you can do it~ Since we didn’t know what time we would wake up, we didn’t bother the housekeeper~
Before leaving, I was given drinks on the way and a complete minibar. The new hotel is really hard work~
It’s really a great value this time. I wonder if there are other friends who have stocked up on Ctrip room coupons. Go use it quickly. It’s worth a try.

GGuest UserIt is said to be the first five-star international brand hotel in Liyang area. The location is not good. It is between the city center and Tianmu Lake. However, Liyang is not big. If you drive by yourself, it only takes about ten minutes to go to the city center and Tianmu Lake. It is convenient. The hotel hardware is good, the parent-child room booked is very large, and the two 1.5-meter beds are very good. The front office service is very good. As soon as we entered the door, the lobby manager greeted us and asked us where we booked the room, and took us all the way to the front desk for check-in. But after two days, there are some shortcomings, but I can't complain. The first is the swimming pool, which was actually outsourced. There were many outsiders inside, and the whole locker room smelled bad. The surroundings of the swimming pool were also messy and disorderly, completely inconsistent with the positioning and level of the hotel itself, so I didn't dare to go into the water, and the children went back to the room after playing in the swimming pool for about ten minutes. Second, the service staff in the restaurant are all old aunts, and their attitude really needs to be improved. A guest was complained by the waiter because he didn't know that he didn't use a special spoon to serve purple rice. The two sides had a little bickering, which surprised me. In many hotels, this is the first time that a waiter complains to a customer face to face. In the end, I called the room service and asked for two garbage bags for children's toothbrush. Booked a twin room, but the hotel only has 3 floors?! We were arranged on the 2nd floor facing the parking lot. As soon as the window was opened, there were cars coming and going. It was stuffy when the curtains were drawn. The sense of privacy was directly reduced to zero😅I wanted to change rooms but was told that ”all rooms are like this”. I couldn't bring two kids with me and had to make do with it...
🎙️Late-night horror moment:
I never expected to run into ”classmates' reunion and team building for old uncles and aunts who graduated 20 or 30 years ago”! The uncles and aunts were still talking at 10:50 pm. The sound insulation was not good, and the experience was directly negative!
🍉Welcome gift was a big failure:
I used points to exchange for ”Welcome Fruit Yogurt”, but I got a small tomato (one of which was rotten) + 2 cans of 100g Mengniu yogurt... Let's say that the points were exchanged for loneliness😓
