4-Star Hotels in Koh Chang

Serenity resort Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here. We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view. As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience! The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you. Thanks again for a lovely stay at serenity resort!!

The stay was excellent. The accommodation was beautiful, the breakfast was outstanding, and the management and staff were truly exceptional — warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway in. The hotel also provides complimentary shuttle service to nearby beaches, with schedules available at the reception. Overall, the service exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely return again in the future.

The lady opposite the hotel who booked day tours was incredibly enthusiastic. The fresh iced coconuts in the small community next door were only 30 baht each, which was a great deal. Plus, 7-Eleven and Mango Tree are right at the doorstep.

Wonderful hotel. This was our second time here, and we'll definitely be back! We stayed with a group of 11 people, and absolutely everyone was thrilled! The location is on the best beach, it's clean, beautiful, the breakfasts are superb, and the staff are kind and responsive. Regarding the staff – I especially want to thank restaurant manager Jiraphan and the restaurant chef. They literally swam out in their uniforms to rescue me in the sea when I needed help. They saved my life. They are my heroes!

Let's start with the positives: The hotel environment is indeed very nice and beautiful. It's close to the sea in the morning, has a pool, and is conveniently located. Now for the main points, which led to a bad experience and a negative review: We didn't realize that to get to Koh Chang, you had to reach the pier and board by 5 PM that day, otherwise, you'd have to wait until the next day. While we were on our way, around 12 PM that day, we contacted the hotel to see if we could cancel that night's stay or postpone it by a day. The hotel initially refused, and even after we involved the platform's customer service, it was no use! Alright, so Trip.com ended up compensating us for part of our room fee, and we rented a hotel near the pier to board the island the next day. The next day, we arrived at the hotel around 12 PM, and they still made us wait for the room to be cleaned. We waited for about 25 minutes before checking in. We found this very strange because if they didn't let us cancel the room we didn't stay in yesterday, and still charged us for it, shouldn't we have been able to check in directly, even if we arrived at 6 AM? What kind of cleaning were they doing? (We strongly suspect the hotel was double-dipping, 'marrying two husbands' so to speak). After finally checking into the room, the door was incredibly difficult to open with the key (after finding a nearby staff member, they helped us change the lock). We were already exhausted at that point, and then we couldn't even open the door, which made us even angrier!!!

Excellent hotel, perfect for both families and couples. The breakfasts are superb with something for everyone. Rooms are cleaned daily. There are shops and massage parlors nearby. To get to the beach, you just need to cross the road, and there's even a traffic controller to help you with that. The hotel's water park is also fantastic. Overall, cleanliness and order are well-maintained. We'd definitely return if we have the chance.

Бронировал два этажа в двух разных виллах, со мной заблаговременно связались, и предупредили что по одной будет замена, так как предыдущие гости захотели продлиться. Поменяли мне номер на большие апартаменты с видом на море, которые не могут не понравиться. На ko Chang был впервые, поэтому оцениваю произошедшее на 5++. Персональный, здоровенный КХРАПП дяде Сереже, и его сыну Владиславу, на месте отличный отзывчивый сервис. Второй номер тоже оправдал все ожидания и по расположению и по сервису. Поначалу скептически отнеслись к завтракам по 500 бат за человека, но по итогу поняли, что они определенно точно стоят того. Хороший шведский стол, натуральный кофе, выпечка. Неподалеку так же работает небольшое кафе, пробовали -еда хорошая, но со слов администратора о том что часто зарезервированы все столы (при их очевидной неполной посадке, сложилось впечатление, что либо в приоретете обслуживания соседние с кафе виллы, либо не очень хотят работать) Территория гигантская, судя по всему, включает несколько разных резортов, без мопеда будет тяжеловато преодолевать эти чудесно облагороженные территории. С чем нам опять же помогли работники сервиса, и после чекина нам подогнали технику прям к номерам. Пляжи и бичбары (в частности Shambala) с бассейнами вызвали полный восторг, объездив остров, могу сказать, что один из лучших пляжей оказался как раз под моим номером. Скидываю виды с пляжа напротив апартаментов 1128, фото жилья нет, только видео, поэтому попробую нарезать и закинуть сюда позже.

The hotel is a beautiful experience, it is practically a boutique hotel on the beach. We took a private room with a terrace (some rooms have a shared terrace between two units). The room is beautiful, the air conditioning works well, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is crazy! Cleaning is excellent, both in the room and in the common areas. Breakfast is fantastic, tasty and varied, staff is exquisite and very careful. The swimming pool is very beautiful and has a view of the stripful beach. We had to stay only three nights but we were so good that we extended our stay for a week, I would return tomorrow!

This is a good 3-star hotel. The rooms are a bit run-down and need renovation, but it's clearly underway, with some rooms and areas already being worked on. Housekeeping was done almost every day (only missed a couple of times during our 12-night stay), but the cleaning itself was about a 4 out of 5; the wet cleaning could be done more often. On the first day, we were given a room on the 3rd floor of the main building, as requested. We were also pleasantly surprised with a wedding anniversary greeting. The balcony with a sea view was fantastic! However, the door to the balcony was translucent and faced almost directly onto a busy road. We ended up tracking traffic all night. The next day, they moved us to an inner building without any fuss. This room was pretty decent too, but construction workers started laying tiles outside our window at 8 AM… 😄. The room was a bit tired, and the air conditioning was noisy at night, but for the price, I think it was pretty good value. A new bar opened on Dec 22nd, but on Dec 23rd, our mood was soured when they tried to charge hotel guests 1000 baht. They eventually resolved the incident and apologized, but the situation with this new bar and pool remained a bit tense. Overall, it was a good stay.

The hotel did not include breakfast, the hotel looked very stylish, the room was okay, the location was good, there was a lot of food around, but the hotel room had mold and odor, and there was a serious mold odor when we entered the room. It's the same for both rooms, and then requesting another room is the same. The order cannot be cancelled, so it can only be sent for one night.
