GGuest UserThe breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the location couldn't be more convenient. Sendai is such a comfortable and pleasant city, and the shopping is fantastic. I'll definitely be back to Sendai, and I'll definitely stay at Hotel Monterey Sendai again.

LLeiaLThe hotel is conveniently located just right outside of the train station (shinkansen west exit) and it’s linked to the shopping malls that are around the stations. The bus stops are just below as well, good if you are taking a bus out or if you joined day trips departing from Sendai. The hotel is also very comfortable and the hotel staff are very friendly.

TThanathip MoolvongThis hotel is just few hundred meters from Sendai JR station. There is sky-bridge connected from the station to the hotel. While room is ok but bed is very small for 2 people. Bathroom has a small bathtub and is bigger than some hotels I have stayed.
Hotel offers welcome drinks (self-service ) and public bath to all guests only. However I didn’t use it.
Breakfast was ok and reasonable spread.

The open-air bath faces the Hirose River, which makes bathing in the hot springs feel leisurely. The indoor bath is spacious and luxurious, and you can enjoy the snow scenery outside the large bright glass window. The warm yukata jacket is comfortable and beautiful. Dinner and breakfast for one stay and two meals are all buffet, and the dishes are made with fresh ingredients and are simple and delicious. A variety of handmade coffees, teas, wines and snacks are provided in the lobby leisure area. You can taste them quietly and enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window. You will not feel bored if you are active in the hotel all day long. It is a hot spring hotel worth a return visit.

MM315587****The location is great, right in a shopping street, about a 15-minute walk from the station. There are plenty of shops nearby, making it very convenient for dining and other needs. The hotel uses a self-service check-in and check-out system at the front desk, and the overall experience was excellent. The room I booked this time was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel and offers great value for money. The facilities are also relatively new. I'm very satisfied with my stay.

OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.

SSKLoveTravelThis is a very large onsen ryokan. There's a free shuttle bus from Sendai Station directly to the hotel, but you need to book it in advance. The buffet dinner features king crab legs and made-to-order sushi, and the breakfast is also very good. If you don't use the shuttle, it's just a three-minute walk to the bus stop for a ride back to Sendai.

GGuest UserTruly a 10/10 experience. The interior is just as aesthetic and spacious as the pictures suggest. It’s perfectly situated near public transport, making it so easy to get around, yet it remains peaceful and quiet with zero street noise. The room was spotless and had a fresh, clean scent. This wasn't my first time staying here, and it certainly won't be my last. I’ll be recommending this spot to all my friends!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent; it's right by the Kōtōdaikōen subway station. Across the street, you'll find Mitsukoshi Department Store and a shopping arcade, making dining and shopping very convenient. The hotel room was a decent size, and overall cleanliness was good, though the windowsill had some dust when I checked in, perhaps due to a rushed cleaning. Also, there was no air purifier in the room. Overall, it's still quite good. The front desk staff were very friendly, and breakfast was nice too.
