We were deciding between The Westin Sendai Hotel and another hotel located right at the train station for the same price of SGD155 per night in Dec 2023 and I’m glad we went with The Westin Sendai. Firstly, their service is impeccable and truly living up to a luxury hotel’s standard. Secondly, their hotel’s view is impressive considering that it is the tallest building in Sendai. We walked to the Sendai's Pageant of Starlight and it was a very comfortable and cooling 15 min walk. 100% would recommend The Westin Sendai when you come to Sendai.

The hotel was perfectly nice for a short stay. It is just over 5 mins walk from JR Sendai station’s West Exit. You need to navigate elevated walkways, walk past a store called “Loft” and walk to the end of the elevated walkway, to a building called “Labi Sendai”. It’s got a Daiso in it. A lift will take you down to street level on the same side of the road as the hotel. I had a single room and it was reasonably spacious. What struck me was how nicely appointed it felt. At the bedside was a small sofa with a table, which was a good place to put all my things and charge my electronic devices. The bed was comfortable for me and the bathroom was fine. The only thing missing in the room was a safe to store my valuables while I was out for the day. I had to lock my laptop in my suitcase.

I visited by private car, but there is a parking lot (Hot House Aoba-dori Daiichi Parking) in the basement. 1500 yen per night. Directly connected by elevator. Convenient. The location is next to the 77 Bank head office along Aoba-dori. Check-in is done by yourself on the touch panel and payment is made at the check-in machine. In addition to cash, credit card payment is possible. The room is a single room on the 9th floor. I was able to see Aoba-dori from the window in the corner room. The equipment is also new. The temperature of the lighting and air conditioner can be adjusted in 0.5 degree increments with the tablet at the bedside. The TV is a 43-inch made by Panasonic. You can also see mirroring of smartphones and YouTube. The unit bath is reasonably large. There is a lounge and Starbucks coffee machine on the 2nd floor, which you can get for free. (The next time I stay, I will have breakfast.) When I go to Sendai, the number of hotels I want to use again has increased.

Traveling with my mom. Room was fairly decent size- love the available bath products and face care products at the lobby. The bathroom was also clean. Great view out the window. Staff were a little inexperienced with requests to ship luggage to another hotel however and forgot to give receipt. I also cannot read or write japanese but was asked to put the address down myself- at other hotels the concierge wrote the address for us.

The hotel itself has self check in machines that have an English option. They had lots of complimentary amenities on offer in the lobby including different types of teas, skincare products, hair products and bath products. The room itself is your typical business hotel. It was clean, had an all in one bathroom, small desk and air purified and humidifier. The bed was comfy and there was room under the bed to store smaller luggage items. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a convenient budget option

I stayed at ”strange hotel Sendai Kokubun Cho” just opened on September 1 this year. The location is in the ichibancho arcade. Near Sendai Mitsukoshi and Kokubun Cho. Net reservation from yaran. It was a special plan to open, and I was able to stay at 5000 yen with breakfast for one night. First of all, a nice projection mapping is greeted from the entrance to the check-in counter, and the check-in is unmanned. There was no particular difficult operation. I'm going to the room immediately. The single room on the 4 floor guided. The bed is double size. The mat is made of French bed. The bed was outstanding. We stayed one night for trip to Tohoku. Hotel was brand new and SO CLEAN! Location: Literally 3 min walk from station. If you have luggae, it's tricky: come out on 2nd floor, going through connected bridge and use elevator at PARCO then ground level and hotel is next door. Great location walk to everywhere, has beautiful starbucks downstairs. Morning market is right behind the hotel; we were hoping that we could get some breakfast early in am. When we went at 8am, not many stores were open yet. We were able to get local strawberries for decent price and it was really good. Room: Got Relax Twin Room. Has electric massage chair in room with corner views. Views were not that great but room was very spacious, hollywood twins. Separate tub/shower and vanity was very nice, very nice decor. Coin Laundry: This hotel has coin laundry (all-in-one with dryer) and that's the reason why we stayed. We were able to see if Washer is in use or not with room TV which was GREAT. I felt we could have stayed other 2 nights (stayed at Metropolitan East due to its location) at Daiwa, it was very nice stay. Brand new, clean hotel in great location and great rates. I'd go back again next time next time!
