Apartment is in Medan City, around 1h car ride from Kualanamu airport. It is next to DeliPark Mall which has everything you need. View from the room is calming.

Conveniently located from the train station (though we used Grab). Loved the availability of WatsApp with the hotel, they responded promptly. Despite 1 set of toiletries for 2 guest, seemed a little silly. The housekeeper are always very kind to provide more when requested. Excellent masseuse at the Spa on L2. Breakfast buffet is sumptuous though the 'top up' is slow after 9am. Centre point Centre shopping mall is just right behind the hotel.. with variety of f&b, shops & korean supermarket.

Nice location, comfort room, we booked connecting room and it's a great room! The only suggestion for the hotel, to provide pool towel and changing room, because if twe travelling with kids, they looking for pool, and it's not nice to using the room towel. Hope they will look into this matter. Breakfast food is good, and tasty, even the speed of refill very slow. Overall very good experience and recommended for a travellers who is looking to comfort stay. Aside, for traveller looking for a bright lighting in the room it's not recommended, because they only provide limited lighting in the room, more quite n a bit dark lighting in the room also the parking space is limited.

This is my second stay in this hotel. I booked again as my previous experience was good. Reception staff is good and cooperative. Although, I had to face a couple problems which had been resolved, but it was good. The food is very tasty and comperatively reasonable. I would prefer to book again if I happen to come again to Medan.

Pros: large room, nice view from the window, good breakfast, not bad gym. Cons: Inattentive staff (I had booked a Deluxe room, but they put me in a regular room. Later I had doubts and went back to check if it was really my room. It turned out it wasn't). On the last night the water was black, making it impossible to wash or brush your teeth.

Besides being close to home, this hotel has been renovated and is now much more aesthetic. It has a swimming pool, a gym, and the breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great staycation!

Hotel is in good location. Staff service was good and the breakfast was good too. However I had a bad experience with their in-hotel massage service. At the end of the massage, she insisted that I tipped her and told me that the price on the flyer was the old price. When I asked what’s the new price, she couldnt answer me. She stood in the room and didn’t want to leave unless I tipped her, saying that the other hotels charge more expensive. I told her the price is already not that cheap. In the end, i gave her a small tip and she finally left. Other than this bad experience, the hotel is quite ok for stay.

The apartment is very spacious, which makes it a great choice, especially for family gatherings. The room was very clean, and the price is very reasonable for the size and value offered. However, the apartment would benefit from some updates, as the mattresses feel quite soft and old. Replacing the mattresses, pillows, and blaket would significantly improve comfort and make the stay even better. Overall, this is a good place for families looking for a spacious and affordable stay, and with a few upgrades to the bedding, it would be perfect.

The stay was below expectations as several room facilities require proper maintenance. The bathroom door and shower were damaged, and the toilet bowl was not clean. In addition, the furniture appears old and worn out, making the room feel outdated. I would recommend that the management carry out renovations and regular maintenance to improve cleanliness, comfort, and provide a more modern experience for future guests.

Grand Sakura Hotel is an acceptable budget-friendly option in Medan, especially considering the price point, but the property is showing its age and could benefit greatly from renovations. The room was functional but extremely dated. Furnishings and fixtures feel old, and the overall atmosphere lacks the freshness that many travellers would expect today. The television is very basic, and several channels are blurry, making the in-room entertainment experience quite limited. One positive aspect is the lobby, which is well presented and has a pleasant scent, creating a good first impression upon arrival. Unfortunately, the experience doesn’t quite continue into other areas of the hotel. Breakfast was one of the weaker points of the stay. The selection was minimal, and there wasn’t anything particularly memorable or standout among the offerings. It gets the job done, but don’t expect much variety or quality compared to other hotels in the same category. The gym was also disappointing. It is essentially a very small room with around five pieces of equipment, several of which appeared to be broken or poorly maintained. Calling it a full fitness centre would be an overstatement. Overall, Grand Sakura Hotel offers reasonable value for money if you’re simply looking for an affordable place to stay in Medan. However, with some refurbishment and better maintenance of its facilities, the hotel could significantly improve the guest experience and better justify its position in the market.
