4-Star Hotels in Lhasa

This is one of those hotels you'll want to return to after you've left. The name is long and hard to remember, but the stay will leave a lasting impression. My husband and I stayed here in Lhasa, and the ladies at the front desk, along with the front desk manager, gave us a warm welcome and explanation. They even upgraded us to a family deluxe room with a view of the Potala Palace, which is stunning at night. The hotel facilities are comprehensive and exceptionally clean, and the dispersed oxygen supply ensured we slept well during our high-altitude trip. The hotel itself is like a museum, with its decor showcasing authentic ******* style, allowing you to experience ******* culture right on site. The breakfast spread is incredibly rich, offering a delicious selection of Chinese, Western, and ******* cuisines. The first-floor restaurant has both Chinese and Western set meals, as well as an authentic ******* restaurant, making dining and staying very convenient. What's most commendable is the location. It's less than a 15 RMB taxi ride to the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and the Tibet Museum. Getting onto the highway is also very easy. All in all, our stay at this hotel was excellent. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lhasa and will recommend it to our friends. A very unique and beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious with 24-hour underfloor heating (the temperature is adjustable, so you can adjust it to your comfort). The bathroom is also spacious with a separate wet and dry area (though it doesn't have underfloor heating, which is a minor drawback). The view from the rooms is the most beautiful part; you can take amazing photos just by sitting outside the room, far more beautiful than strolling through Barkhor Street. The traditional kitchen on the first floor also greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch; it would be a popular restaurant even in a first-tier coastal city.

Extremely satisfied! The hotel is very close to Barkhor Street and Potala Palace, both within walking distance, making its location absolutely superb! The hotel elevator goes directly to the 6th floor, where there's a popular cafe that's perfect for photos. Atour is a chain, so it's very clean and well-equipped with a light luxury feel. The Dyson hairdryer, high-quality pajamas, Peet's coffee, and a coffee machine are all highlights. Most importantly, the hotel also offers a video shoot of the 'dryland scallion pulling' experience, a welcome gift, and afternoon tea/coffee! There's also a butler service; you can just WeChat them if you need anything. Truly excellent! 👍🏻

The hotel is very new and has no peculiar smell. The beauties and guys at the front desk are very welcoming. The hotel has a rich breakfast and the room service is also very good. I give it a thumbs up.

This hotel is newly opened this year and boasts excellent facilities and amenities. Located in the heart of Damxung County, it's conveniently situated for shopping, dining, and parking, making it perfect for road trips. The hotel owner and staff were incredibly welcoming during check-in; the owner personally helped us with our luggage, upgraded our room for free, and answered all our questions. The rooms were spacious, equipped with oxygen supply, and even included massage chairs for guests' complimentary use – such thoughtful touches! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Damxung.

I really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea. The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard. Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service.

This was my third stay at Thangka, and it has noticeably declined compared to my stays in 2018 and 2023. The main reason I chose it again was its proximity to Jokhang Temple. However, this time I experienced significant and continuous noise at night. The next morning, during breakfast, I realized the noise was coming from a machine in the 4th-floor restaurant or the self-service laundry area. I promptly checked out the next day and informed the front desk. The front desk attendant was very kind and assured me that she would report it immediately. I hope Thangka improves.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the front desk staff were very efficient with check-in. It's very close to Potala Palace, making it super convenient for getting around. All the staff were warm and welcoming, the room was clean and tidy, and the night view was fantastic. Guys, you can book this place with your eyes closed – I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!

It's a standard four-star hotel, both in terms of facilities and amenities. The room was newly renovated and the facilities were decent. The breakfast, however, was really disappointing. I booked a night because it's close to Norbulingka, but actually, due to the hotel's location, it's a 10-20 minute walk from the entrance. Since I needed to conserve my energy at high altitude, I ended up taking a taxi round trip.

The location is great, right on Beijing West Road, making it convenient to the Tibet Museum. However, the facilities are generally dated. If you're looking for something special, avoid this place. It's clear it was a decent hotel 10 years ago.
