Lhasa Potala Palace Square Jiangsu Road Atour Hotel

This is for another booking; I stayed from August 7th to 14th in total and got to experience the Potala Palace city view room. My review is the same! In short, I'll definitely stay at this Atour again next time!

Extremely satisfied! The air quality was great, and I didn't experience any altitude sickness. The window view was beautiful, offering a clear sight of the Potala Palace. The service was thoughtful and professional, striking a perfect balance. Plus, the bottled tea in the hotel was absolutely delicious – sweet and refreshing, I had to grab two every day! The breakfast was also fantastic; who understands the sheer joy of having fresh vegetables in the morning? This stay truly exceeded my expectations!

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center of Lhasa, with free parking and convenient charging stations. There's a cafe on the 6th floor with a nice view of the Potala Palace. The Bamboo House has a great selection of books, perfect for avid readers. All the hotel staff were very friendly. I stayed for half a month and was very satisfied.

Pros: First time visiting Lhasa, and the room facilities are brand new. The diffused oxygen system is a great touch, and the view is absolutely fantastic – you can gaze at the Potala Palace right from your bed. The parking lot is huge, and you can access Barkhor Street directly from the back door by just swiping your room key. Areas for improvement: The WeChat contact for the butler service, which comes with the room key, was very slow to respond after I added them. It might be handled by the front desk, but if they want to promote a butler service, I’d suggest having dedicated staff for it.

Exceeded my expectations, I'm very satisfied! It's more modern than the St. Regis and offers better views than The Arokam. The 6th floor provides absolutely stunning views of the Potala Palace – I'm incredibly happy with it. Complimentary oxygen: Super helpful, my blood oxygen easily stayed above 90. Potala Palace View Cafe Voucher: You don't actually need this voucher to enjoy the free view, which is beautiful, especially at night. You can also see the 'Long Live the Motherland' slogan from there.

Cons: Limited EV charging spots in the parking lot. The bed linen was yellowed, and the room felt a bit cramped. Pros: Great location and the front desk service was good.

As a Huazhu member, I always prioritize Atour hotels whenever I travel, and this trip to Tibet was no exception. I chose this Atour hotel again, and its location is fantastic. It's just a few minutes' walk to Barkhor Street, and you can even see the Potala Palace from the window. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. They even upgraded my room for free and gave me complimentary breakfast – kudos to the front desk! The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The room had air conditioning and an oxygen supply, plus free late-night snacks. There were also complimentary drinks and mineral water in the room, and a free self-service laundry room, which was very convenient. I highly recommend this Atour hotel to anyone visiting Lhasa, Tibet, and I want to extend another big thank you to the front desk staff for their warm service!

My stay was generally smooth. As a loyal ATUROS customer, I've always had high expectations for their service and hygiene. The front desk staff member who checked us in was very attentive and processed everything quickly. They also proactively offered a luggage cart, which was a great bonus. However, there's room for improvement in the service attitude and communication style of some front desk staff; their voices were a bit loud, and they didn't offer timely assistance when we had a lot of luggage, which made us feel a bit alienated. Overall, the hotel's basic facilities and the service from most staff members were good. I hope they can further strengthen their service details and hygiene management in the future, and I look forward to an even better service experience next time I visit Lhasa.
