The hotel is located near Zurich main station, and the room size is quite generous, which is rare for this area. It's an apartment-style hotel with very friendly service. There's a tram stop right outside that goes to the central station, though you still have to walk a few hundred meters. The front desk offers daily tickets for about 9 CHF each. Breakfast is delivered to your room, and you can pre-order the time and selection at the front desk; it costs 20 CHF and is highly recommended. My only minor complaint is that there were small bottles of alcohol and snacks in the room without prices listed, so I assumed they were complimentary, only to find out at check-out that there was a charge. That aspect was a bit unfriendly.

The hotel is conveniently located, about an 8-10 minute walk from the Central Station. Our family booked two rooms, and they were assigned next to each other, which was great. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the shower pressure is good. The only minor point is the transparent glass bathroom door, but I believe it can be covered with a towel. We visited in August, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The front-line staff were polite, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Plus, the mini-bar in the room is free! I would definitely choose this hotel again next time. 👍🏻

Great hotel with fantastic, spacious rooms and really friendly service, from the bar staff to the front desk. It's wonderfully quiet, the beds are superb, and the facilities are excellent. And of course, don't forget the free bikes you can borrow! The complimentary minibar and the great in-room box are always a nice touch too! Would happily stay again!

I recently stayed at this hotel on November 16, 2024, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! After a long 13 hour flight from Hong Kong, I was grateful to be allowed an early check-in at 9 AM. This made a huge difference, allowing me to rest before starting my day. Mr. Filippo at the front desk was incredibly helpful. He not only assigned me a lovely room with a terrace but also provided excellent recommendations for nearby attractions, making my first day of a 13-day journey truly special. His courteous demeanor and willingness to assist were very much appreciated. The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center and attractions, with everything you need right across the street. I love to stay a bit further from city centre and this hotel fulfilled my needs with beautiful lake view. They have prepared two little bear for our daughters when we check in which is sweet, however we do find the service is not to what we expected for a good rated hotel. The room is clean, the bathtub is a bit old but acceptable. The window that opens up to have a good view of Lake Zurich however it is very dangerous for children if they were to sit by the window as there is no barrier only a one long bar. We have included breakfast during our stay however the breakfast variety is quite limited and not really cater for international guests as the only hot food option are just eggs. Quite disappointed to wake up and have breakfast in such stunning view. On a side note, we ordered a fried egg one morning and it took more than 20 minutes to serve even though there is less than 5 tables in the breakfast room and we need to keep asking for it which I find it very unprofessional. Our expresso machine doesn’t work as the capsule fell all the way through. Informed the receptionist but didn’t bother to offer to check and just said it is the right capsule so I wonder.

The facilities are pretty new overall, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver! I was so touched when I walked into the room and found it already on. They provide a combined shampoo/body wash and soap, but you'll need to bring all other disposable toiletries yourself, which is quite normal for Switzerland. However, the wooden hangers surprisingly bled color onto my clothes, and I couldn't wash it off... I also found the bathroom's lack of a door inexplicable, as it's very easy to get the floor wet. Cleanliness: Very good, clean and tidy. Environment: The neighborhood is very quiet, and there's a tram stop right outside that makes getting to the train station very convenient. Service: The staff member was very enthusiastic. Overall, I'm satisfied.

My stay at Placid Hotel Zurich was truly enjoyable! 🇨🇭✨ The hotel has a modern, minimalist design with large windows offering amazing city views — especially at sunrise and sunset. The rooms are clean, stylish, and well-equipped, with everything from high-speed Wi-Fi to a Nespresso machine and super comfortable beds. 🛏️ The reception team was excellent — very friendly, professional, and always ready to help with directions, transport cards, or restaurant recommendations. They made check-in and check-out smooth and pleasant. 🙌 Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right ☕🥐. The hotel’s location in Zurich Altstetten is also convenient — just a few minutes by train or tram to the city center and Zurich Main Station. 🚆

Facilities: The room was spacious with several floor-to-ceiling windows, but the TV wasn't smart and couldn't screen mirror. One of the bedside outlets was broken and didn't work. There was no complimentary bottled water, but there was a kettle for purified drinking water. No refrigerator. Environment: It's right next to the train station, two stops away from Zurich Central Station. There are Coop and Migros supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient. Service: The staff were very helpful. Cleanliness: It was reasonably clean. Overall, it would be pretty good value for money if it were a bit cheaper.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Glad we chose Adagio as our first hotel to check in upon arriving Zürich. Easy check in. I think the breakfast was out by far the best. Variety continental breakfast. This is the first hotel we stayed that served Rosti. It was clean and spacious enough for us to open both our luggages. We love this hotel. Best choice and it was so reasonable as we booked very early. It’s very convenient and walking distance to the train station. Can take tram too.
