"I stayed here for a few nights and overall had a good experience. The room looks exactly like the pictures shown was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel itself felt safe and well-maintained. Staff were polite and quick to respond when I needed anything, which I appreciated.
The location was a major plus close to shops, restaurants, and easy to get around. It’s a good, solid place to stay if you’re not expecting anything ultra luxurious.
I’d definitely consider staying here again. Overall, a reliable option for a short trip."

"Overall, I'm very satisfied! We booked last minute, and for around 600+ yen a night, it was a great deal. They have a 24-hour front desk, DHC toiletries, and it's close to Inaricho subway station. Honestly, getting anywhere in Tokyo by subway feels convenient. The room was indeed small, quite narrow, and the space utilization was low. The bed was on the softer side. There's no laundry room, so we had to go out to find a coin-operated one. The closest one seemed to be open from 7 AM to 10 PM, so we ended up walking about 400 meters to do our laundry. There was no air conditioning, and in November, they only had central heating, which was way too warm for me! It wasn't until the third day that I remembered to open the window for some ventilation and cooler air."

"The hotel is conveniently located near Ikebukuro Station, in a very lively area with a convenience store right downstairs. The rooms are well-equipped and very clean. The only downside is that the front desk staff seemed a bit robotic.
When I went to pick up my luggage from the front desk, the staff member was initially very polite. However, as they were handing me my backpack, my foot inadvertently stepped a little forward, almost crossing into the staff-only area behind the counter. The staff member immediately shouted a warning, telling me not to move my foot forward. Once I retracted my foot, they instantly reverted to being polite and started bowing and nodding. This reminded me of my electric kettle at home – it lets out a really loud alert as soon as the water boils, but once the water cools, the sound stops."

"We selected this hotel due to its spacious room (16m2) and has two single beds compared to other hotels. The hotel is near various subway stations, very convenient to explore Tokyo by subway. Walking distance (about 1km) to Ueno Ameyoko. There's a local shopping street selling food, fruits, sushi, bento etc. very convenient. The hotel provided all amenities of good quality. Service is good and friendly. Free luggage storage on checkout day. The only thing that can improve is to try to make it dust free. You can still see dust in the room, and your shirt especially black shirt will stick with the white fabric dust easily. Despite this, it does not affect the stay. Highly recommend if you prefer a bigger room in a quieter area, still enjoy the convenience close to the city."

"The E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku in Tokyo proved to be a fantastic choice for my recent stay! Its location couldn't be more convenient, being right next to the metro station made exploring Shinjuku and the rest of Tokyo incredibly easy.
I was thoroughly impressed with the excellent room service – prompt and efficient. The information staff were also incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any questions.
The only minor drawback, and this is quite common in Tokyo, was the size of the room. It was on the smaller side, but it was impeccably clean, well-designed to maximize space, and perfectly adequate for my needs.
Overall, the E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku's prime location, outstanding service, and friendly staff more than compensated for the compact room size. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable base in the heart of Shinjuku."

"While the room was on the smaller side (understandable), the bed was quite spacious. There were signs indicating purified tap water, and I found the water pressure good and the water hot enough. The only minor point was that the toilet felt a bit small. The hotel's buffet breakfast was decent, and the surrounding area is very convenient for dining and drinks. The hotel offers direct shuttle buses to Disneyland and Haneda Airport, and it's also not far from JR and subway stations. A nice touch was the small power strip provided in the room. My only real criticisms are that the air purifier's filter appeared to have been uncleaned for a while, and there were limited washing machines, which were separate units for washing and drying."

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is perfect, its right in the middle of the action so as soon as you step outside the hotel, there is so much to see, do, shop. We stayed here for 5 nights on the final leg of our trip and the location was very impressive and staff were very helpful.
The cons were minor but worthy of noting, the rooms are extremely small and you know when they show you the photos and know it will be small but its actually even smaller than photos. This was the smallest room of all the hotels we stayed at in Tokyo. When calling requesting amenities, the staff don't come up to your room like other hotels, you actually need to go down and pick up whatever it is that you need.

GGuest UserThe overall location is quite good, just a 2-minute walk from Akihabara JR Station. There’s a Family Mart, Denny’s, and McDonald’s downstairs, so it’s very convenient to grab food quickly at any time.
Although the room isn’t large, which I believe is a characteristic of Tokyo, it is clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The entire journey would have ended pleasantly until we encountered a bald, tall male front desk clerk in the lobby. He did two things that made guests’ impressions of the hotel plummet.
If you can’t recognize him from my description of his appearance, there’s another way—he is the most passive-aggressive service staff member I’ve encountered in all of Japan.
First: We lost a room key. We admitted it directly at checkout and were willing to accept any form of compensation. He stated that we needed to pay 2000 Yen, and while we were taking out the money, he couldn’t resist making a few passive-aggressive remarks. It was as if guests coming for a vacation needed to accept his accusations and moral judgments.
The second incident: We checked out on the morning of the 5th and indicated that we would be checking in again on the 6th (we went to Fuji that night). The hotel staff saw our reservation for the 6th in the system and directed us to store our luggage in the storage room next to the elevator. When we checked in on the afternoon of the 6th, we suddenly found that our luggage was missing. At that point, we encountered the bald clerk again. He said to us: “Why didn’t you tell us you were storing your luggage for more than one day?”
We expressed our confusion and explained it kindly. I’m not sure if he had a comprehension issue or just wasn’t thinking clearly, but he kept insisting, “You should have told us in advance next time.” This request seemed to suggest to the guests: “Yes, we’re unprofessional, but so what? You could remind us. Since you didn’t remind us, it’s your fault. Please remind me next time that I’m unprofessional!”
I don’t understand why the hotel system has information displayed yet the hotel still makes mistakes. Guests check into hotels for vacation, not to endure his moral judgments and accusations. It seems like making people feel miserable is the goal and attitude of his work.
This otherwise nice hotel loses significant points because of this employee, which is really unfortunate.

房间虽然不大，我相信这是东京特色了，但是整体干净整洁、设备齐全。
本身整个journey都会愉快的结束，直到我们遇到了大堂一位光头、身高较高的男性前台服务员。他干了两件事情让客人给这个酒店的印象跌入谷底。
如果你没有通过我对他外观的表述辨认他，还有一个方式——他是整个日本说话最passive aggresive的服务生了
第一：我们弄丢了一张房卡。我们直接在退房时承认并愿意接受任何形式的赔偿。他表述需要支付2000 Yen，我们在掏钱的时候，他也不忘passive aggressive的说上几句风凉话。仿佛客人来度假入住是需要来接受他的指责与道德审判。
第二件事：我们在5th早晨退房，并表明将会在6th再次入住（我们5th当晚去fuji游玩了）。该酒店的服务人员从电脑system中看到了我们6th的订单，并指引我们把行李寄存在电梯旁边的storage room。当我们6th下午办理入住时，缺猛然发现我们的行李不见了。这时，我们再次遇到了这名光头服务员。他对我们说：你们为什么不告诉我们你们要寄存more than 1 day
我们表示不解，并友好解释，他不知道是理解能力有问题还是就是脑子不清醒，一直说：你们下次要提前和我们说。这个要求仿佛是在对客人说：没错，我们工作不专业，那又如何，你们可以提醒我们呀。既然你们没有提醒我们，那你们有问题，下次请提醒不专业的我哦！
我不明白酒店系统都有显示的信息，为何酒店还会犯错。并且客人来酒店入住是度假，并不是来接受他道德的审判与指责的。把人的心情弄得很糟糕大概是他工作的目的与态度把。
这个整体不错的酒店，因为有这个员工而大大扣分，实在是可惜

Location: The location is excellent. There are two stations within a three-minute walk, and Narita Airport is just one subway ride away.
Service: Check-in and check-out are self-service, so don't expect overly warm or personalized service. Should you need towels or other items, you'll have to go down to retrieve them yourself. For printing, you send an email to the downstairs front desk, and they'll print it for a nominal fee.

YYushanshanThe location is fantastic. It's just a few minutes' walk from Hamamatsucho Station, which is easily reachable by Monorail directly from Haneda Airport. There's a convenience store right on the ground floor, making it super handy for any quick purchases. Plus, there are lots of great restaurants nearby, and you can easily walk to Shiba Park for a view of Tokyo Tower.
The room itself is quite small. It would be a tight fit for two slender people, but it's absolutely perfect for a solo traveler. On the positive side, the air conditioning works wonderfully, and they provide excellent POLA brand toiletries.

Ssulee17Dormy Inn Ueno-Okachimachi boasts an excellent location, being just the shortest walk from Ueno Station. On our way, we even spotted a Torikizoku sign, and we ended up dining there one evening. Of course, with so many restaurants right across from the hotel and in the surrounding area, my 'choice paralysis' definitely kicked in!
The main reason we chose Dormy Inn was for its large public bath, complete with complimentary popsicles and Yakult after a relaxing soak. Breakfast was also fantastic; the fried shrimp in the morning was absolutely divine. The breakfast was so substantial that we stayed full throughout our two-day stay, meaning we even skipped their complimentary Yonaki Soba (late-night ramen) in the evenings.
The hotel only has one elevator, so there was a bit of a wait during peak hours. From our room, we had a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Despite being right next to the Shuto Expressway, there was absolutely no traffic noise, which speaks volumes about their excellent soundproofing.

GGuest UserVery friendly staff. Easy access to hotel from HND airport and arrive at Higashi Ginza station just in front of the hotel. Room is in a small size as expected but clean. Breakfast is good. Easy to use public transportation to access other sightseeing destinations. Will strong recommend to choose this area than other tourist areas in central Tokyo. Will return this place if visit Tokyo again. Onsen on site is very nice after long walk every day.

GGuest UserThe hotel was absolutely fantastic! It's compact but incredibly well-equipped, having everything you could possibly need. The staff provided excellent service, and there was a great variety of breakfast options in the morning. In the evenings, you could even unwind with a relaxing bath and a drink. I had initially worried the hotel's location might be a bit out of the way, but it turned out to be incredibly convenient during our stay. There's a Family Mart right downstairs, and nearby you'll find a subway station, Don Quijote, various beauty stores, and a plethora of delicious food options. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tokyo!

AAnonymous UserWas a good location to stay and it fitted our purpose. Natural light was not much in the room as we stayed in the centurion hotel the older building, so I guess the reception on the opposite side of the building where we stayed could have had better rooms (aka centurion vintage)
The staff are very courteous and the speak good English and very accomodating and courteous.
Try avoiding to stay opposite the laundry and microwave room on 02nd floor which is room 201 as the smell of the food can travel into your rooms when the microwave is being used.
