CCarlaSSuggestion: since the hostel has five floors, maybe start asking guests during booking if they snore. The night I stayed there sounded like a full symphony orchestra. It was pretty clear I wasnât the only one bothered by it, and unfortunately the earplugs provided werenât nearly enough to deal with the situation.
The front desk could also improve significantly when it comes to customer service. The staff barely smile and often seem grumpy, which doesnât create the most welcoming atmosphere.
This was actually my third time staying here, and at this point I feel like I could write a full list of suggested improvements.
Another thing thatâs hard to understand is the rigidity of the rules. Check-in is at 4pm and apparently not even 10 minutes earlier is possible. At the same time, guests must check out at 10am and arenât allowed to stay in the hostel between 10am and 4pm while cleaning happens. Six hours of cleaning â during which guests must completely stay away â feels excessive, especially considering we donât even get a full 24 hours at the property.
On top of that, guests arenât allowed to use the bathroom before check-in or after check-out, even if theyâve left their luggage at the hostel. For travelers, that kind of inflexibility makes things unnecessarily inconvenient.

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

GGuest UserThis place is essentially like a bathhouse or hot spring spa back home, the kind where you pay 39-79 RMB for unlimited soaking. The difference is, their bunks aren't first-come, first-served; you need to register for one.
Anyone who's spent a night at a bathhouse knows that how well you sleep entirely depends on the people around you. I had bad luck this time â two people nearby were snoring, so I barely slept all night. Otherwise, just imagine it's a hot spring spa. If you've never been, a 39-RMB experience will give you the idea.
Overall, it's actually pretty good. I booked a bunk on the second floor, which requires a password to enter. The showers and toilets are shared but in multiple private rooms. There are several rows of tables in the common area, so you can bring your laptop and continue working if you need to. If you enjoy soaking, the baths on the fourth floor are also nice.
The location is indeed unbeatable. It's very close to Ueno-Okachimachi Station and Ueno isn't far either, making it a lively and bustling area. Plus, the outside noise doesn't bother you inside. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs early morning transport or plans to stay out late in Ueno. Just bring earplugs. For photos, look at others' â I only have one quick snap from a QQ group chat where I was complaining.

AAreshanI stayed for a few days and felt very comfortable; this hostel is pretty great overall. They have a buffet, so food is very convenient. The staff are all very friendly and patient when you have questions. Downstairs, there's a coffee shop and a water dispenser, which makes daily life very easy. The room was clean and tidy, and didn't feel cramped at all. I stayed in a six-person room, but there were only four of us, so there was plenty of space. The window faced the street, and the view was decent. Overall, it was a very reassuring stay.

GGuest UserWe are 5 people family stay on Oct25. Our room is on 1st floor which is very convenient. The room is spacious with tatami floor in majority. Though there is limited facilities(2 small folded tables and small bathroom), it has seperate toilet. For big family like us, bathing was always problem in the morning. There is however, extra toilet and bathroom outside of our room. So we can reduce prep time in the morning. There were also microwave,boiling kettle, wash sink, and utensil for eating. This place is also very near to the station and many convenient store nearby. The cleanliness is not the best, but this place is affordable, clean, and their service is quite good.
I would recommend it for anyone who is not too picky and want convenience.

RRoman.KusIt is close to Haneda airport and train station. There is sento nearby. The bed was comfortable, and it is easy to navigate. Toilets are clean.
However, there is only one shower on floor one, which can be inconvenient if crowded. Shoes are all over the floor because the area left to the entrance is stuffed with laundry and tools. The shower is messed in mold. Moreover, people keep coming and going all evening and night making it problematic to sleep. There are no earplugs. Walls are thin and despite warning some guests keep endlessly talking and use loudspeaker (mainly foreigners), I donât even mention snoring. The lock is the most annoying it always beeps and clicks. My 101 bed was the closest to the entrance making it problematic.
So, I donât think I will stay there again. Better find a more quiet spot.

I donât usually write bad reviews so Iâm a bit afraid. But if the owner have fixed all the problems I experienced then they can reply and new customer can make better informed decision I guess.
There are no lock. So if you are a female traveler that hope to be safe in a female only room, donât! Itâs just a silly clear plastic door that separate the female room from the kitchen. And make the matter worse, the main door was not lock as wellâŚ.I hope they fix the lock soon. They chose convenient over safety at the moment. Any stranger can barge in.
They have nice kitchen area.
There is one toilet and one bathroom, the toilet is clean. During my stay the guest that already there are very loud even though itâs after 11pm. I think they should stress the rule about noise at late night more.
The location is convenient but itâs in the pub area. And next building is karaoke room. They sang until 5 am. Well, not all have a problem with noise during sleep. So pick your choice.
The bed area in female dormitory is clean. But in terms of privacy and tidiness, no. They should really tidy up the window next to bed No.6 it looks like a refugee camp from what I saw. I didnât assume all people there are long term stay but I donât know đ¤ˇâď¸
The curtain was put on badly for the upper bed next to window, and it happened to be my bed. I have less privacy than the below bed and bed was made out of cheap metal so they move when the other move, which is fine for me but keep that in mine before you go.
What worst in the bed area is the people thatâs already there before me. They have the audacity to open my curtain and peek at me. I think the price attract weird people with no manners (maybe I have no manners too?) đ¤ˇâď¸
Any how, what I want to say is:
Perfect area for shopping and find food and very close to the station.
Good kitchen.
Clean toilet.
â ď¸No lock, unsafe.
No privacy because poor bunk bed curtains.
đ¤And you might be able to find a better hotel with your own tiny room with roughly same price the next day.

HHappyLoveThe condition is better than I expected, it's easy to get to Asakusa, and you can walk to the subway in less than 5 minutes.
There are many restaurants nearby and convenience stores such as Lawson, Family Mart, and 7-Eleven are located within 5 minutes.
First of all, the private bathroom is not in the room. It's outside.
We used the second floor and were in rooms 201 and 202.
If there are two rooms, there are two toilets and two bathrooms outside, which are used exclusively for the room.
I don't have any pictures, so I'll just post a picture of the bathroom.
It was nice that each item was separate.
There aren't any downsides, but the owner was a bit harsh but not unfriendly.
Still, I had a good stay. For 3 nights and 4 days
And one thing is that the door is locked after 12 o'clock!!!
