CCarlaSSuggestion: since the hostel has five floors, maybe start asking guests during booking if they snore. The night I stayed there sounded like a full symphony orchestra. It was pretty clear I wasn’t the only one bothered by it, and unfortunately the earplugs provided weren’t nearly enough to deal with the situation.
The front desk could also improve significantly when it comes to customer service. The staff barely smile and often seem grumpy, which doesn’t create the most welcoming atmosphere.
This was actually my third time staying here, and at this point I feel like I could write a full list of suggested improvements.
Another thing that’s hard to understand is the rigidity of the rules. Check-in is at 4pm and apparently not even 10 minutes earlier is possible. At the same time, guests must check out at 10am and aren’t allowed to stay in the hostel between 10am and 4pm while cleaning happens. Six hours of cleaning — during which guests must completely stay away — feels excessive, especially considering we don’t even get a full 24 hours at the property.
On top of that, guests aren’t allowed to use the bathroom before check-in or after check-out, even if they’ve left their luggage at the hostel. For travelers, that kind of inflexibility makes things unnecessarily inconvenient.

AAreshanI stayed for a few days and felt very comfortable; this hostel is pretty great overall. They have a buffet, so food is very convenient. The staff are all very friendly and patient when you have questions. Downstairs, there's a coffee shop and a water dispenser, which makes daily life very easy. The room was clean and tidy, and didn't feel cramped at all. I stayed in a six-person room, but there were only four of us, so there was plenty of space. The window faced the street, and the view was decent. Overall, it was a very reassuring stay.

It's surrounded by wholesale streets full of affordable clothing, as well as many small restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores. Usually, it's very quiet, but this time there was a large construction site next door that was quite noisy, even late at night and on weekends. The environment is decent and relatively clean; there's no waiting for the toilet or shower. Unfortunately, the shower room had a rather strong odor. The service was very professional.

GGuest UserThis place is essentially like a bathhouse or hot spring spa back home, the kind where you pay 39-79 RMB for unlimited soaking. The difference is, their bunks aren't first-come, first-served; you need to register for one.
Anyone who's spent a night at a bathhouse knows that how well you sleep entirely depends on the people around you. I had bad luck this time – two people nearby were snoring, so I barely slept all night. Otherwise, just imagine it's a hot spring spa. If you've never been, a 39-RMB experience will give you the idea.
Overall, it's actually pretty good. I booked a bunk on the second floor, which requires a password to enter. The showers and toilets are shared but in multiple private rooms. There are several rows of tables in the common area, so you can bring your laptop and continue working if you need to. If you enjoy soaking, the baths on the fourth floor are also nice.
The location is indeed unbeatable. It's very close to Ueno-Okachimachi Station and Ueno isn't far either, making it a lively and bustling area. Plus, the outside noise doesn't bother you inside. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs early morning transport or plans to stay out late in Ueno. Just bring earplugs. For photos, look at others' – I only have one quick snap from a QQ group chat where I was complaining.

GGuest UserWe are 5 people family stay on Oct25. Our room is on 1st floor which is very convenient. The room is spacious with tatami floor in majority. Though there is limited facilities(2 small folded tables and small bathroom), it has seperate toilet. For big family like us, bathing was always problem in the morning. There is however, extra toilet and bathroom outside of our room. So we can reduce prep time in the morning. There were also microwave,boiling kettle, wash sink, and utensil for eating. This place is also very near to the station and many convenient store nearby. The cleanliness is not the best, but this place is affordable, clean, and their service is quite good.
I would recommend it for anyone who is not too picky and want convenience.

MM516646****I checked in the night before CM107 Day 2. For just over 100 per night, and with its super convenient location for taking the Seagull to Odaiba (or the Monorail to the airport), the price is definitely unbeatable. The subway Daimon Station is right downstairs, along with convenience stores. Staff service made check-in easy. The bed was quite firm, which I actually found comfortable after not sleeping well on soft beds the previous two nights. There's a light inside the capsule, but only one two-pin socket, which was a bit insufficient.

I don’t usually write bad reviews so I’m a bit afraid. But if the owner have fixed all the problems I experienced then they can reply and new customer can make better informed decision I guess.
There are no lock. So if you are a female traveler that hope to be safe in a female only room, don’t! It’s just a silly clear plastic door that separate the female room from the kitchen. And make the matter worse, the main door was not lock as well….I hope they fix the lock soon. They chose convenient over safety at the moment. Any stranger can barge in.
They have nice kitchen area.
There is one toilet and one bathroom, the toilet is clean. During my stay the guest that already there are very loud even though it’s after 11pm. I think they should stress the rule about noise at late night more.
The location is convenient but it’s in the pub area. And next building is karaoke room. They sang until 5 am. Well, not all have a problem with noise during sleep. So pick your choice.
The bed area in female dormitory is clean. But in terms of privacy and tidiness, no. They should really tidy up the window next to bed No.6 it looks like a refugee camp from what I saw. I didn’t assume all people there are long term stay but I don’t know 🤷♀️
The curtain was put on badly for the upper bed next to window, and it happened to be my bed. I have less privacy than the below bed and bed was made out of cheap metal so they move when the other move, which is fine for me but keep that in mine before you go.
What worst in the bed area is the people that’s already there before me. They have the audacity to open my curtain and peek at me. I think the price attract weird people with no manners (maybe I have no manners too?) 🤷♀️
Any how, what I want to say is:
Perfect area for shopping and find food and very close to the station.
Good kitchen.
Clean toilet.
⚠️No lock, unsafe.
No privacy because poor bunk bed curtains.
🤑And you might be able to find a better hotel with your own tiny room with roughly same price the next day.

HHappyLoveThe condition is better than I expected, it's easy to get to Asakusa, and you can walk to the subway in less than 5 minutes.
There are many restaurants nearby and convenience stores such as Lawson, Family Mart, and 7-Eleven are located within 5 minutes.
First of all, the private bathroom is not in the room. It's outside.
We used the second floor and were in rooms 201 and 202.
If there are two rooms, there are two toilets and two bathrooms outside, which are used exclusively for the room.
I don't have any pictures, so I'll just post a picture of the bathroom.
It was nice that each item was separate.
There aren't any downsides, but the owner was a bit harsh but not unfriendly.
Still, I had a good stay. For 3 nights and 4 days
And one thing is that the door is locked after 12 o'clock!!!
