3-Star Hotels in Sydney

We booked Marco Polo Motor Inn for 3 nights. The room was very clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished. Queen bed was very comfortable. There was also a 3 seater sofa. Towels were changed daily. TV channels worked fine. Aircon was cold without strange smells. There was a microwave, kettle, plates n bowls, cutlery,, cups n glasses. A mini fridge with freezer and even a cute single slice toaster! Coffee, tea bags n hot chocolate were provided. Parking was secure and ample. Will definitely be back if driving from Gold Coast to Sydney again. It is also walking distance to the train station. A great find! Signage was Marco Polo Motel though and we were slightly confused by it. Reception was great, friendly and helpful.

The overall stay experience of this hotel is very good. First of all, the hotel is in a prime location, close to major attractions, with convenient transportation and very convenient travel. The front desk service is warm and friendly, and the check-in procedure is quick, which leaves a good first impression. The room is well-equipped, clean and tidy, and the bed is comfortable, which can ensure good sleep quality. Both the bathroom equipment and the air-conditioning system work well, providing a satisfactory living experience. The hotel's breakfast is rich in variety and delicious, which makes the whole day full of energy.

The location is excellent, only few minutes walk from the nearest tram and metro station. There is no need for hotel room key, just check in via QR code and download an App to have the hotel room key on you mobile. Travelling from the airport is very easy and no fuss. You can just use you credit card on the local transport system.

Unfortunately it's not the most upmarket place to stay ,- i guess you get what you pay for right? The Aircon worked intermittently, the mould on the top of the shower ceiling was not in the brochure and neither was the doof doof music coming from the pizza bar across the road! I'd rather stay somewhere else where I could get around the bed. There's better places out there!

Lovely place had a great time staying there. Fantastic suburb and a lovely bar downstairs. On Fridays and Saturday when the pub downstairs goes off, didn’t even notice the noise with the windows closed

Service: It was okay. I was changing hotels, so I dropped off my luggage early in the morning, and the front desk staff was really enthusiastic. However, for the two nights I actually stayed, the service I encountered was pretty standard. Facilities: The hotel definitely shows its age. The showerhead is a rainfall type, but the faucet doesn't close tightly, so it dripped all night long, which was quite noisy. The shower floor is plastic and very slippery – it feels like you could easily fall. Harbour View Room: I booked this hotel specifically for the view, but the windows don't open, and there's no balcony. Looking through the glass at night, you really can't see much, which was a big disappointment for me. Overall: This is a chain hotel with a lot of guests, so it must have other reasons for people to stay. But if I had to choose again, I probably wouldn't pick this one.

Great stay for a night. Had everything I needed and was clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the noise coming from behind the hotel in the park. But that soon died down around 11-11:30pm and I had a restful sleep.

Pros: Hotel located near bus stop. And there is a public bus direct from Sydney airport to the hotel. Just walk a bit. So cheaper than using the train. Toilet clean, room was big. Worth every penny. Cons: the hotel reception is inside a bar, so as Muslim, I don't feel comfortable going inside a bar to check in. But once you get the room key, you can use alternative entrance which is from 'something like fire exit door' Which have many stairs, but better for me than going inside a bar. Overall 👍👍👍

The staff was really nice! Room was clean and the cleaning staff was over the top perfect 👍 hotel is right by the train station and by a big shopping centre. The beer downstairs in the pub ist also great 👍

Perfect stay in the heart of Burwood! The location can’t be beaten—walking distance to Westfield Mall, Burwood Park, and countless Asian eateries. The guesthouse has a charming historic vibe with polished wooden floors, plus modern perks like free WiFi and a coin-operated laundry. The host was super friendly and helped us store luggage after check-out.
