Amazing experience in this ryokan! Felt very warmly welcomed by the owner who would come out to send us off or receive us when we entered or exited. Also received a welcome cake from him!
Rooms were comfortable and the private onsen experience was really luxurious. Easy drive out to see the attractions we wanted to in Hakone.

Lidaren727The atmosphere was fantastic, and they even had a campfire BBQ at night. The hotel has a kitchen, so you can buy ingredients and cook for yourself, and there's a 7-Eleven and Lawson nearby, which is really convenient for grabbing things. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and I plan to recommend it to my friends.

I originally thought that the Hakone Onsen Hotel was too expensive and the cost-effectiveness of traveling alone was not high, so I chose a youth hostel. The experience of 3 days and 2 nights was more than I expected.
An old man received me when I checked in that day. Although he had an accent in English, it did not affect communication and understanding at all, and there was no communication difficulty.
What was more surprising was that all guests could take a hot spring bath, and there was no limit on the number of times. When checking in, only one towel for hot spring bathing was issued, which had to be reused or rented a new towel from the front desk. Unlike hot spring hotels, they could not take a bath in the morning, but in the afternoon and evening, and they were divided into indoor and outdoor areas. I experienced it on both nights.
There was no meal, but the kitchen was open 24 hours a day, and free hot water, tea bags, seasonings, dishes and pots were available. Personal items needed to be labeled and stored.
It was more than 1km away from the station, and some mountain roads needed to be climbed. Convenience stores were basically less than 100m away from the door, but there were few restaurants, so I had to go to Hakone Yumoto Station to eat.
The dormitory is a mixed room for six people, mainly occupied by European and American backpackers. There is a male and female bathroom on each floor, as well as two shower rooms. The guests are relatively friendly. Overall, the experience is good and I may consider living here again in the future.

The Room is clean, the location is a bit difficult to get to it especially we arrived there late night. The heater is not function well even though we already asked for help, we feel cool at the mid night, but the service is good. It a quite and peaceful place, if the heater function well then I think is perfect

There are three Japanese-style rooms, all located on the second floor of the box burger restaurant, but it is quiet at night and you don't have to worry about being disturbed. The staff is very enthusiastic and patient, and speaks fluent English. Hot springs require reservations. One room has two reservation opportunities per night, one in the morning and one in the evening. After the reservation is successful, you can enjoy it alone. The room is made of wood, and the overall clean and elegant, but the sound insulation and stability are not very good. Guests in three rooms share a washbasin and toilet, and need to make their own beds (but it's very simple). It is suitable for guests who want to experience Japanese houses. Overall, it's good.

fjanen*The guest villa was nice, clean, and comfortable.*
We had a small issue at check-in though. The check-in email only came in at 4:30 PM, but we arrived at 3:00 PM. Plus our room was changed from 201 to 101, so the code we got didn’t work. Luckily the staff was there when we arrived and helped us check into the new room quickly.
*Facilities:*
Washing machine is paid - 6kg for 400 Yen. Dryer is 100 Yen for 30 mins but clothes don’t get fully dry, so we still had to hang them out. The drying area is small but clean enough. Bathroom was clean too and overall facilities are good. I love the shower, Handheld shower head
*Location:*
Great spot, close to the station and a 7-Eleven convenience store.
So sorry, I forgot take photos. Beds are comfortable, tpp

A nice cozy home right near the main train station. Easy access to transportation and right in the heart of the town. The house had many beds to choose from and good separation of rooms. A stocked kitchen and laundry machine was a bonus. The only slight bother was that the space in front of the toilet was very narrow and it was slightly uncomfortable to be on the toilet. Also there are cockroaches that come in at night, but this is fairly normal in Japan. The walk up to the house consists of many stairs and is not suitable for persons with handicaps/mobility issues.

The hotel staff (of Chinese descent) were very warm and welcoming. My group stayed in the hotel's largest room. The room is divided into two large sections, and the partitions between the rooms can be opened, making it comfortable for mixed-gender groups. The room facilities were also quite comfortable, except for the lack of hot water from the faucet. In addition, the interior of the hotel gave the impression of being reminiscent of the bubble era, making it a very Japanese hotel. Meanwhile, many of the hotel staff were foreigners, making it seem like a comfortable place for inbound tourists from East Asia and elsewhere to stay.
Overall, I would rate it ”very satisfied.”

Nestled in a peaceful corner of Mt. Hakone, yet conveniently connected by bus, only a 5-10 mins walk. This charming little hotel offered an unforgettable immersion into Japanese culture, complete with tatami-matted floor, soft futon bedding and soothing onsen. With it's effortless check in and out, it's perfect for travelers seeking tranquility and authenticity without sacrificing to much convenience.
Pros: If you plan to visit the Hakone pirate ship and the Hakone ropeway at Togendai, it will give you an early start because it's only 11 minutes by bus.
Con: To get to the hotel you will need to go up a little hill, not too hard, but if you have a lot of luggage it could be a bit of a challenge (But it's an easy walk back to the bus stop)
Be mindful of the bus time getting to the hotel as the bus tends to end around 5:00 p.m.
Also, there aren't any places to eat near the hotel, so you may need to take food with you, order breakfast with the hotel or buy some snacks and instant noodles from the hotel shop.

We loved this hotel, it is much more mono in reality than in photos. All very clean and careful. They have private bathrooms, two indoors and two outdoors. Very clean and with everything necessary (gel, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc.). The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. You can borrow shoes, yukatas (those also to go to the outer bathroom), parachutes, and take cold or hot water and tea.
The room had a table, a balcony with a refrigerator, another table next to the window and washing machine. We didn't pass anything cold since there were a lot of coats and a air pump.
The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. There was a restaurant right in front of the small but very rich and well-priced restaurant that opens up to 10 pm.
Given that it was one of the cheapest options in Hakone for dates and with the possibility of enjoying onsen in private, we thought it was very good.
