2-Star Hotels in Yining City

This was the second unique B&B I stayed at on our trip! I initially thought it was Uyghur-style, but the owner said it was Russian-style. It was so beautiful! It was no wonder I booked this B&B a month in advance. 😎 We were at Sayram Lake the day we went, and we arrived at the hotel at 12:00 PM, and the owner was still waiting for us. I was so touched. 😭 The B&B is located in the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, about a 5-kilometer drive from Liuxing Street. I had a wonderful birthday with everyone at the B&B that night, drinking wine and chatting together. I didn't want to go home at all. I really liked the cherry drink that the owner made herself. It was just like the taste of childhood, so delicious. There's also a different breakfast every morning. My favorite is the Madeleine jam with bread. One is enough to fill me up! Happiness is always short-lived. I look forward to seeing you next time. 😊

We had a really great stay here and would definitely recommend this place. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed and very clean. The room was comfortable, well equipped and had everything we needed. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. They really made us feel at home and gave us useful advice during our stay. And a special mention for the coffee — it was honestly the best coffee we had anywhere in China! Overall, a beautiful and comfortable place with lovely hosts. We would happily stay here again. They even kindly drove us to the train station, which we really appreciated.

The indescribable beauty can be said to be the most beautiful yard in Kazan. No matter from the health or the environment, the children are too cute, let alone send the local breakfast, the experience is full, the back is too big, will definitely go again, next time I go to live for a few more days. Hope more people see it, wrap it up!

It was my second time staying here, the place is beautiful and I met so many nice girls who I ended up hanging out with while I was in Yining. The Kazanqi area around the hostel is lovely, walking distance from great restaurants and shops. I was able to put things I the fridge and freezer and use the kitchen at the hostel. The courtyard and balcony are such nice places to sit and do work or eat there was also a puppy which was so cute!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cute decor and the toilet/shower room in the room is modern and clean. I definitely recommend!

I stayed here for over a week and absolutely loved it! The ladies working here were all incredibly warm and charming. We even went shopping together and had some late-night skewers. The hotel's decor is beautiful, and being surrounded by local ethnic minorities really allowed me to immerse myself in the local customs. It was truly wonderful!

The location is a little bit hidden in an alley, however I love how it is nestled among the local restaurants and houses, you get to see how the people live on the daily basis. Otherwise the room is clean, amenities are great too. If you are a light-sleeper, it can be a little bit noisy since it is located near houses. But overall, it is a great guesthouse if you would like a place near town as a base for your travel. The owner’s daugther though..despite my limited Mandarin, she went away and beyond to help me with literally everything from booking a bus, and communicating with a DiDi driver to mail my AirPod which I had left in the car at a different city!  She arranged for it to be sent to my next location which I had book prior, ensured that the postman gave the mail to me personally by phonecall. She is one of the sweetest person I have met during my solo travel to China.

The hosts here are incredibly warm and welcoming! Our original tatami room was comfortable, but my mother has back issues and wasn't used to the softer, lower bed. After talking to the hosts, they were incredibly understanding and proactively offered to switch our room. They were so thoughtful and accommodating throughout the whole process. Both the main host and the younger lady were genuinely warm, generous, and easy to get along with. The new room was perfect – spotless and comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and I honestly recommend this guesthouse to everyone. Wishing them all the best!

The hygiene is excellent, and the owner is very warm and friendly. This is my second time visiting Yining, and the people here are genuinely wonderful. The hotel has a washing machine for laundry, and the staff even provided laundry detergent and hangers. The location is easy to find, right at the intersection of the main road in Liuxing Street.

That night, I returned to Yining from Nalati at 10 PM, exhausted. I went to the IU Hotel specifically to book a twin room, specifically room number 322. Booking through the platform was cheaper, and the receptionist promised to upgrade me to twin room 322 after I booked through the platform… However, after completing the booking, the receptionist gave me a double room on the second floor, number 206! He said that was the room I had booked! 😔😔😔😔 I requested a higher floor, and the receptionist said that my booking platform limited me to the second floor! Is that really true? I checked the platform again, and it said it was the 3rd or 4th floor. I felt the staff wasn't paying attention and the receptionist was lying to get rid of us as quickly as possible! My friend and I slept in the double bed but didn't sleep well all night. Also, when we entered the room, there were only two pillows on the bed, and they were stacked together and leaning against the bed. I felt someone had used them, but the receptionist said it was their ”special way of arranging pillows,” different from other hotels! Then there was a drop of blood next to the sink, though it might have been strawberry or other fruit juice. The towels were sealed in plastic bags, which was fine, but one of the bags was open, and the tissues in the tissue box were crumpled, which was unpleasant to look at. The front desk said we could talk to them about any problems with the amenities, but it was already late, we were exhausted, and the hotel should be able to check the cleanliness of the room itself, not wait for guest complaints or feedback. I'm here to travel and rest, not to be told there's something wrong with the room. It wasted a lot of my time. Because I didn't sleep well the night before, I went to the front desk around 10 am the next morning to request a room change… The rude front desk staff said he was about to leave work and told me to talk to the staff member who was coming on duty. Then that staff member was changing clothes and told me to wait until he finished changing! It felt like they were treating guests very poorly! They showed no respect for guests!

Great hotel. There is an open space to chill in the evening. The girls on the reception were here helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator with no problem. Only 3 minute walk from great food street, where you can try traditional food. There is drinkable water next ro the reception. The location is right in the center 1km from the long bus terminal and 6km from the railway station. But from the left and right side of the hotel you can have a nice walk in the city. If you are from Europe there is a chance to not be able to connect to the WiFi. Just FYI.
