I recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots. The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price. Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. It is best to go there at dusk when there are fewer people and the scenery is beautiful, with many people surfing. A few minutes' drive from the B&B is ”Golden Beach and Silver Land”, a niche beach, which is a good place to watch the sunrise. You can ask the boss to book a boat ticket to Dazhou Island, which is very beautiful. There is no shortage of beaches in Wanning, but for beaches with fewer people and more beautiful scenery, it is recommended to go to Xinqun Bay. If you are lucky enough to come to Xinqun Bay, it is recommended that you stay in this humane B&B for a few nights. It will definitely be worth the trip.

Ideal location if you want to go surfing and you can rent boards and wetsuits through the hotel directly. Room was clean and comfortable, the staff super friendly and responsive. Downside is the noise from the town until 2am, but thats not the hotels fault and affects all of them in the region. I even read of people who couldn't sleep from the noise on the island aplartment 2.5km away. The music is really extremely loud and fireworks happen aswell. But as said, not the hotels fault. Would come again for surfing and theres lot of food options and convenience stores around aswell.

Located just one kilometer from Shenzhou High-Speed ​​Railway Station, and right next to Wangfujing Duty-Free City, the accommodation was much cleaner and more comfortable than in Riyue Bay. A cleaning lady came to clean the rooms, and the beds in the dormitories were wider and more comfortable than in typical hostels. Each dormitory room had its own bathroom, and electric scooters were available for rent. I had a very comfortable week there.

The sea in Xinqun Bay is really blue It is indeed a glass sea and there are few people. It is really relaxing to take a walk, take photos and drink some wine. A perfect place to stay in Riyuewan Bay. Chuck and his lovely family are your caring hosts. The rooms are spacious, sparkling clean with a cosy matress. Everything you need is in walking distance. I came with my 2 Children and I highly recommend this place. The hotel is amazing with a cool yard / lobby area and our room was well equipped + super clean. Staff was so nice and helpful we actually got an upgrade. The best about it maybe the location, it's close to the beach and in a small village that is still quiet with a very laid back vibe (it almosy feel feels like Thailand, ot at least how I knew Hainan 10 years ago) There is plenty of shops/coffee/ restaurant right on the door step. Surfing spots are nearby with waves for all levels (if come with kids I recommend going nearby the bridge on the right side of the beach). We will come back !
