I stayed at my daughter's B&B by chance, and I didn't expect the service to be so good. My mother was very uncomfortable with motion sickness at the time, and the staff offered to make ginger soup for the elderly family to relieve motion sickness (she really needed a bowl of ginger soup at that time). This is one of the best places to stay in Riyue Bay. All the hotels on the beach are extremely noisy because the bars put massive speakers on the street and blast music at insane volumes until 3am every night, making it impossible to sleep. This place is far enough from the main ***** so you can actually rest at night. And it's clean and modern with A/C and hot showers. The owners are super helpful with anything you might need. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots. The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price. Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. There is a parrot in the B&B that stays on the proprietress's head all day long. It's so cute. The B&B is very close to the beach, just a short walk away. It is best to go there at dusk when there are fewer people and the scenery is beautiful, with many people surfing. A few minutes' drive from the B&B is ”Golden Beach and Silver Land”, a niche beach, which is a good place to watch the sunrise. You can ask the boss to book a boat ticket to Dazhou Island, which is very beautiful. There is no shortage of beaches in Wanning, but for beaches with fewer people and more beautiful scenery, it is recommended to go to Xinqun Bay. If you are lucky enough to come to Xinqun Bay, it is recommended that you stay in this humane B&B for a few nights. It will definitely be worth the trip.

Close to Shenzhou Station, not many dining options nearby, but you can order KFC for delivery. The hostel is in a self-built house and very spacious. The common area on the first floor is huge, and there's even a hot water dispenser! However, I felt a bit scared walking back alone at night as a female, as the hostel is located in a village. Also, I was in an upper bunk with no curtain, while the lower bunks had them. I suggest installing curtains for the upper bunks too, as the light can be too bright at night. Getting a ride-hailing car to Shenzhou Peninsula, Shimei Bay, and Xinglong Town costs about 20-25 RMB.

The homestay is the sea, there is a meal bar at the door, and the beach coconut trees are too cold. Special thanks to the surf instructor in the store. The room was clean and simple. There was a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off the car after parking. The overall service was very thoughtful. The butler and the shuttle bus driver were all smiling and providing service throughout the trip. I will choose this hotel again next time I come to Wanning!

A perfect place to stay in Riyuewan Bay. Chuck and his lovely family are your caring hosts. The rooms are spacious, sparkling clean with a cosy matress. Everything you need is in walking distance. Especially for me, the surfrental right infront of the place, the surfspots around the corner. Chuck helps you to arrange everything. From surfboard, transport, travel recommendations. I came with my 2 Children and I highly recommend this place. The hotel is amazing with a cool yard / lobby area and our room was well equipped + super clean. Staff was so nice and helpful we actually got an upgrade. The best about it maybe the location, it's close to the beach and in a small village that is still quiet with a very laid back vibe (it almosy feel feels like Thailand, ot at least how I knew Hainan 10 years ago) There is plenty of shops/coffee/ restaurant right on the door step. Surfing spots are nearby with waves for all levels (if come with kids I recommend going nearby the bridge on the right side of the beach). We will come back !
