"I spontaneously decided to visit Zhoushan, and my usual hotel was fully booked. I noticed the newly opened Angsana hotel, part of the Banyan Tree group, and it was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, with rooms overlooking the sea and backed by the mountain. Each room has its own hot spring bath, and the environment is excellent. Upon check-in, Sarah and Mia, two lovely ladies, very patiently explained the hotel's facilities and some of the family-friendly activities. They even escorted us to the elevator for our room floor, which was a very thoughtful touch. 🥰 Thank you!"

"We were quite apprehensive after seeing so many negative reviews, so we went in with a 'go with the flow' attitude. Our butler, No. 2, was incredibly helpful. Someone even met us specifically at the pier. They were always responsive to our needs. Since we had a baby, they prepared a baby cot for us in advance and kindly allowed us to extend our check-out time. The pier transfers were also very convenient; they helped us transport our luggage to the lobby as we had a lot with the baby. Overall, we weren't really dissatisfied with anything. The lady at the front desk, Chenxiang, was so lovely and lucky; the baby immediately went to her when she held out her arms! 😄 The portions at the restaurant were huge, which really surprised me! 🫶🏻 We didn't get to ride in the legendary pickup truck though! 😄 To be fair, the soundproofing isn't great, but after all the walking and prayers, we were so tired that we fell asleep instantly. So grateful!"

"I absolutely loved this hotel! It's super close to Puji Temple and offers butler service and pier transfers, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The annex building is beautifully traditional, and our room was quiet, clean, and had a lovely Zen ambiance. I especially enjoyed the seating area on the veranda – perfect for admiring the old trees and escaping the heat during the day, and for a peaceful nap listening to the rain at night. A wonderful surprise was finding out the hotel has its own Zen hall where you can attend classes, and a cultural exhibition hall with truly beautiful displays."

"The room was bright, and the king-size bed was comfortable with a nice view, although I couldn't see the Putuoshan scenic area due to the weather. The front desk staff was very thoughtful; after learning my flight time, they kindly arranged a late check-out for me. The shower floor was quite slippery, so I'd recommend adding a non-slip mat."

"Traveling to Zhoushan is too important to the hotel, the Amaner designer hotel experience exceeded expectations ✨ The hotel is located in Lincheng Happy Bay, facing the first-line sea view. It is really beautiful to watch the sunset of the Hong Kong Island Bridge in the evening. The 12th floor high-altitude cafe has a full viewing atmosphere, just like a cruise deck. The overall French designer style, exquisite details, the lobby, the spiral stairs are all beautiful. The room space is open, the floor-to-ceiling window viewing experience is great, the hygiene is very good, the bedding is soft and sleeps well, the Dyson hair dryer and quality care are all equipped, and the welcome fruit is prepared for the stay, which is very intimate. Downstairs is the plank road of the seaside park, you can take a walk to the sea; self-driving parking is convenient, and the drive to Cangzhi Wharf and Putuo Mountain is moderate. The breakfast is rich in variety and the Zhoushan seafood noodles are delicious. Infinity pool, gym, self-service laundry room are all available. The staff is polite and caring and responds promptly. Whether it is a couple's trip or a family trip, it is highly recommended. The experience is full and worthy of five-star praise!"

The large windows provided excellent natural light and ventilation, making the room bright and airy. The bed was perfectly soft, incredibly relaxing after a long day of traveling, and I slept soundly at night. The room was well-equipped with amenities like a kettle, hairdryer, TV, and WiFi, all in good working order. I couldn't find any fault with the cleanliness; it was meticulously done, not just on the surface but also in every corner and crevice. The toiletries were of good quality, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. Special thanks to Lester, whose service was exceptional. Check-in and check-out were swift and efficient, with no delays. He was gentle and polite, always smiling, and patiently answered any questions I had, helping promptly. His sincerity was evident in the details, not just superficial politeness. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. The hot food was kept warm, and the taste was to my liking. I left feeling full and energized every day before heading out to explore. For the price, the facilities, cleanliness, and attentive service are truly excellent value for money. My entire stay was flawless and far exceeded my expectations. It's a quiet and livable place, making for a worry-free stay. This hotel has already been added to my top accommodation choices, and I will definitely book here again next time. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!"

"An unbelievably great family-friendly vacation experience, and a huge shout-out to our butler, Mingming! Our stay in the River Koi King Bed Room at Zhoushan Changqiao Pelican Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The room was incredibly spacious, perfect for a family with kids to move around comfortably. The sofa and table setup were very practical. Before arrival, I called the hotel to request two bed guards and a baby cot, and they had them ready, along with kids' toothbrushes and slippers – the attention to detail was impressive. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and the cleanliness was reassuring, with no issues whatsoever. The little one had an absolute blast! Every morning, the first thing they'd do was rush to the window to feed the koi fish, and they were so excited watching the fish scramble for food. The three theme parks were definitely worth the price. We revisited the aquarium twice and went to both the rainforest and the bathhouse once. My child absolutely loved the bathhouse and didn't want to get out. I especially want to praise our butler, Mingming! Before coming, I'd seen reviews raving about the butler service, but no one contacted me, which made me a little annoyed at first. However, everything changed once we arrived! Mingming's attentiveness and thoughtfulness were subtle yet ever-present – you constantly felt cared for. The experience was even more thoughtful than stays I've had at Mandarin Oriental. Honestly, Butler Mingming is the sole reason I'd come back again! I hope we can meet him on our next stay, and I highly recommend him to all families traveling with children!"
