"We booked a two-bedroom pool villa for two nights during the National Day holiday, and overall, it was a good experience. The service was generally excellent. We had a butler chat group for immediate assistance, and requests were promptly handled, including car services which were quite fast. In terms of facilities, the hotel is indeed a bit old. The living room lighting in our room was dim, and the bathroom door couldn't close properly. For the price, the minibar and coffee capsules were also somewhat disappointing. The courtyard pool was a bit chilly for swimming in October, but it was convenient to hop straight into the room for a hot shower afterward. The hotel's public facilities are comprehensive, with indoor and outdoor pools, and a wave pool, all great for families. Unfortunately, it was too cold to enjoy the outdoor public pool. Parking is free, and there's an EV charging station. The kids' club is quite small, and there aren't many family activities. Guests get free access to the beach, which is great for wading and digging in the sand. Breakfast was decent but nothing special, and there was no waiting even during the holiday. For dinner, there's a food street just a left turn from the hotel with many popular seafood restaurants offering good value for money. Overall, resort hotels are very weather-dependent. With good weather, strolling around is very pleasant and great for photos."

"The room is great, and the price is affordable. It's probably the best value for money hotel on Mount Putuo, much better than guesthouses. There's a food street right opposite the hotel, which is super convenient, and it's also close to Puji Temple. Highly recommended! They even have a shuttle service to the ferry terminal every half hour, which is really handy."

"I always stay at Ruyi Pavilion when I come to Putuo Mountain. It's a 10-minute walk to Puji Temple, and the bus stop right outside the temple makes it convenient to get to all the attractions and other places. The commercial street in front of the hotel also offers easy dining options, and the most authentic and value-for-money restaurant on the island is just across the street. All in all, Ruyi Pavilion is the top choice for accommodation on the island. A special thanks to the manager who contacted me via WeChat before I even arrived to inform me about the shuttle bus location, and promptly arranged a shuttle to the pier after check-out. Excellent service!"

"So glad I chose this place. I was a bit sad to leave, and I'll definitely be back! It's a chain hotel from a big brand, and the property management is Greentown, so it has a strong foundation! The location is excellent and convenient for transportation! Even though it's an older hotel, the materials used are solid! The room was very quiet! The view from the balcony was quite expansive! A special thank you to Ms. Ye Yingmeng at the front desk, who was incredibly empathetic! Seeing that I was traveling with an elderly person, she specifically requested an upgrade from the manager! Thank you, manager! The entire hotel team provided excellent service! When I first arrived, the security guard at the entrance and the bellhop, Mr. Chen Hezhong, enthusiastically helped unload our luggage and assisted my elderly companion, which immediately made a great impression! The cleaning lady, Ms. Tang Xiaoying, was especially meticulous; the room organization and cleanliness were superb! The ladies at the executive lounge were very kind, helping to prepare soft, well-cooked noodles for the elderly person every day! The highlight of breakfast was the ramen! I had a bowl every day! The chef was particularly kind! Knowing it was for an elderly person, he pulled the noodles thinly and cooked them until they were very soft!"

"I've stayed at many Novotels both in China and abroad, and this one maintains the same high standard. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the service attitude was excellent. The location is central in Zhoushan, about a ten to fifteen-minute walk to Dinghai Ancient City and West Street. It's about a forty-minute drive to Zhujiajian. The room was clean and simple, with all the necessary amenities. There were plenty of USB ports, which made charging convenient. The breakfast was plentiful, and the coffee tasted good. Just a couple of minor issues that the management should address: The shower water pressure wasn't very stable, fluctuating between hot and cold. This is fine in summer, but it would be unacceptable in winter. Or perhaps it was just my room? The Wi-Fi was slow, and then eventually stopped working altogether. I tried it with two phones and got the same result, but since I have a lot of data, I just didn't bother with the Wi-Fi."

"We were quite apprehensive after seeing so many negative reviews, so we went in with a 'go with the flow' attitude. Our butler, No. 2, was incredibly helpful. Someone even met us specifically at the pier. They were always responsive to our needs. Since we had a baby, they prepared a baby cot for us in advance and kindly allowed us to extend our check-out time. The pier transfers were also very convenient; they helped us transport our luggage to the lobby as we had a lot with the baby. Overall, we weren't really dissatisfied with anything. The lady at the front desk, Chenxiang, was so lovely and lucky; the baby immediately went to her when she held out her arms! 😄 The portions at the restaurant were huge, which really surprised me! 🫶🏻 We didn't get to ride in the legendary pickup truck though! 😄 To be fair, the soundproofing isn't great, but after all the walking and prayers, we were so tired that we fell asleep instantly. So grateful!"

"First of all, a big thank you to the front desk staff, Qianqian, for upgrading our room! The room was very clean, and we enjoyed the complimentary mini-bar. The food at the Chinese restaurant included in our package was also delicious. The pool was nice and clean, but the changing rooms were a bit too small – I'd recommend showering back in your room! Breakfast was good too! The only downside was the mahjong/card room. We asked if there were any discounts, and they said no, so we paid over 700 for two days of play. It was only on the third day that we discovered there were group deals: 98 for four hours during the day and 188 at night. Speechless!"

"The hotel is quite beautiful. The restaurant is decent, not amazing but not bad either. The waitress was very thoughtful, asking if I had tried raw seafood before and if I was okay with it. The hotel has a beach, perfect for kids to spend an afternoon. The bathtub in the room is also nice, with no issues except for a slight dripping sound from the internal pipes. It's also great for photoshoots, and there are areas for kids to play. Crucially, it's very close to the ferry terminal, only a 17-minute drive, so we made it for the first ferry to Putuo. This trip was a bit rushed. The hotel even offers complimentary travel photography sessions, and you can also take beautiful pictures around the hotel itself. The tea at the hotel's tea bar is quite good, and the small drinks are also fine. It's suitable for a relaxing vacation, and many spots around Daqingshan are also stunning."

"The Hilton brand itself guarantees quality. I stayed in a deluxe sea-view room, and the bedding was comfortable, while the bathroom was clean and tidy. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including both Chinese and Western dishes. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful, answering every question I had. The hotel's swimming pool had crystal clear water, and there were also two small hot spring pools nearby perfect for relaxation. My only minor feedback is that some small fixtures in the room were loose, so I'd suggest the hotel's engineering department regularly inspect and maintain the rooms. Overall, my expectations were met, and I even managed to capture a stunning sunrise over Mount Putuo in the East China Sea from my balcony in the early morning."
