Getting around was effortless. Inside, the hotel surprised us with its modern interior decoration—clean lines, tasteful furnishings, and a comfortable, contemporary vibe that sets it apart from more traditional options on the island. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Putuo Mountain!

We brought our kids to Gouqi Island for the weekend and stayed at this guesthouse – it was fantastic! The location is super convenient, right by the sea with several free beaches downstairs, perfect for kids. You can enjoy sea views and a sea breeze right from your room. The room was clean and tidy, very comfortable to stay in, and the soundproofing facing the sea was excellent. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful. Before we even arrived, they recommended sightseeing routes and helped us arrange a driver. When we got to the guesthouse, they even helped us with our luggage. We could ask them anything we needed, and the whole trip was completely hassle-free.

Every year during the off-season, I spend a few days in Putuo, and I've stayed at several hotels on the island. Xilai Zhizhu Hangshe is definitely one of the best. The location is excellent, the facilities are great, the hygiene is satisfactory, and the service is also very good. Besides the high room rate, there's hardly anything to fault. Especially the Yuanzhi Yuanwei restaurant downstairs – it was a pleasant surprise! I used to avoid 'influencer' spots, but after eating there twice, I was very impressed. No pre-made dishes, fresh ingredients, good flavor, and great value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again every year.

The meals we eat are relatively home-cooked, taste good, and the price is reasonable.

The room was large, clean, and fully equipped with smart technology. The hotel has a great location, right next to Qingsha Beach, making it easy to go to the beach anytime. The surrounding area is also very quiet with no other commercial areas, offering beautiful starry skies at night, and the sounds of birds and insects all around, making it perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. However, going out to find food at night is a bit scary; driving on the dark mountain roads can be quite frightening, so it's best to bring some food in advance or have dinner at the hotel. The staff were all very nice. We were traveling during the off-season, and we were practically the only guests at the hotel. It was a little unsettling to be alone in the valley at dusk, but the staff member reassured me that everyone else was staying there and it was safe. The housekeeper even upgraded our room, which we were very grateful for.

The accommodation was very comfortable and close to the beach. I would definitely choose this place again if I come back. Getting around is also very convenient; they have cars and electric bikes for rent. There's a food street nearby. The young man in the white shirt at the front desk was super nice and attentive.

The soundproofing in the room was too bad, too bad, too bad. The bathroom floor was leaking. The two Apple mobile phone chargers were charged fine when I went to bed at night, but they were broken when I woke up in the morning. It was a heavy loss. I stayed in this hotel every time I came to Putuo Mountain (it was under renovation and closed when I came last year). This year, the experience was too bad. I also lost two chargers. I asked the front desk for a bottle of mineral water, and they said I could buy it in the hotel store. I will never stay here again.
