Scenic Hotels in Xining

"My last night in Xining, I chose this hotel mainly because it's close enough to the train station. The hotel's underground parking lot seems to have a limited number of spaces (similar to the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at before). You need to get a handwritten pass from the front desk to enter and exit without paying for parking. I arrived around 3:30 PM, and they said the room was still being inspected, so I had to wait a bit before getting the room card. The front desk also gave me two complimentary vouchers for afternoon tea on the top floor. I checked it out later, and honestly, it felt less impressive than the breakfast's dessert, fruit, and beverage selection. 😅 I got a room on the 20th floor with views of the mountains to the north and south of Xining, so I guess you could call it a ”mountain view + city view” room. Breakfast was pretty standard. The local specialties from Qinghai were 'sanzi' and 'huahua' (I think that's what it was called, also a fried starchy food). Similar to other HUAZHU hotels I've stayed at, this one had many tourists from eastern China. Around 8 AM, the restaurant and elevators became particularly crowded. Goodbye, Xining! 👋"

"Took us some time to understand how things function in the room, but we finally got it. We missed the AC most. Although the city is at almost 2300 m alttitude, it can get hot in the summer and there's only a narrow window in the room. Too little to cool it over the night. No fridge means no cold drinks either. And also the shower nozzle is not fully functional. Water is fighting its way out of that 😵 But there is a nice lobby and also the room looks good. We did get a surprise snack around 10.00 pm. All put together I would say 'Better try one of the other hotels in the neighbourhood.'"

"Hilton's quality is consistently reliable. The rooms come standard with humidifiers, perfect for the dry高原 climate. There's 24-hour laundry (washer and dryer in one). Breakfast includes yak yogurt and ga mian pian (local noodles). It's super convenient for visiting Ta'er Monastery and Qinghai Lake. Located on a main thoroughfare in Chengdong District, parking is free and ample. Upon check-in, they offer hot ginger tea to help with altitude sickness. The bedding is soft and the soundproofing is excellent. It's a top choice for a rest stop on a road trip."

"The deluxe family room at Qinghai Baiyun Xianglin Hotel was absolutely amazing! As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by how spacious and bright it was. The kids' play area, specially designed for children, had a slide and a rocking horse, keeping our little one entertained non-stop. The room was exceptionally clean, and the thoughtful touches like children's toiletries and disposable toilet seat covers really stood out. Hot water came out quickly, and the mattress was super comfortable. The hotel's service was impeccable; from the warm welcome at check-in, we felt cared for throughout our stay. Drinks and towels were plentiful, and the hotel's location was very convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Our stay was perfect, and I highly recommend it to families with children!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to dining, shopping, and transportation. Our room on a high floor offered beautiful views overlooking Xining city. The duty manager, 'Xiyifang' (laundry room), was incredibly warm and attentive. Seeing we had a child, they proactively upgraded our room for free, which was very thoughtful. There's also a late-night snack service; if you're hungry coming back late, you can grab some wontons or tangyuan. It's really good. Highly recommend. Finally, Qinghai is absolutely stunning, a must-visit!"

"The room was clean and tidy, the facilities were complete and easy to use, and the bed was soft and sleepy. The boss service is warm and thoughtful, the location is easy to find, the travel is convenient, and the surrounding food and drink are convenient. Very good value for money, the stay experience is comfortable, I will choose this one next time I travel, it is highly recommended."

"On this business trip to Xining, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Xining Chengdong the entire time, and my overall experience was fantastic. I have to especially commend Julie at the front desk; her meticulous service made me feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is located on Bayi East Road in Chengdong District, right next to Wuyue Plaza, making dining and shopping very convenient. It's also not far from the highway entrance and Xining Station, which is great for both driving and public transport. As a newly opened hotel, the lobby design is elegant, and the room amenities are brand new and complete. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a wide view, and the room was spotlessly clean. The 24-hour gym and self-service laundry facilities are well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety, including local Qinghai specialties like yak yogurt and甜醅 (sweet fermented oats). I arrived feeling exhausted in the evening after a long journey. Julie greeted me with a constant smile and efficiently handled the check-in process. Seeing my heavy luggage, she proactively offered to help carry it and patiently explained the room facilities, Wi-Fi password, laundry room, and breakfast times. When I casually asked about self-driving routes to Qinghai Lake and local food spots, she patiently outlined an itinerary, even recommending niche attractions and reminding me about precautions for high-altitude travel. When my room card stopped working, I contacted the front desk and Julie came to resolve the issue within minutes, without any pretense. Her service was professional yet down-to-earth throughout, without any rigid formalities; she genuinely thought about the guests. While good hardware is a hotel's foundation, warm service is what truly adds value. Thanks to Julie's thoughtful service, my travel fatigue disappeared. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xining, and I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"The room was clean and tidy, and the central air conditioning allowed me to adjust the temperature myself. The shower had great water pressure and was super hot and comfortable. Parking was also incredibly convenient, and the breakfast was delicious. Even though there were many people eating breakfast, the service attitude was consistently excellent. The cleaning staff in the hallways would also greet me warmly, which was really heartwarming. The front desk even upgraded my room for free because I had a baby with me, which I truly appreciated! Highly recommended!!"
