"Very close to Yungang Grottoes. Parking is easy. The room is comfortable, clean, has floor heating, and is pet-friendly. It is also convenient to walk the dog out of the small hill in the courtyard. I ordered noodles and stir-fried vegetables in the evening, which suited my appetite. Breakfast is a bit simple, porridge, steamed buns and pickles, eggs or noodles. Those who are demanding can go to the living area to eat."

"The location is superb, quiet yet conveniently located, within walking distance of all attractions, yet not on a main road, giving a strong sense of security. It's surrounded by the Southeast Yi commercial district and close to the Drum Tower, which is beautifully lit up at night. The hotel's infrastructure is excellent, incredibly clean, and stylishly upscale, with super comfortable beds. The private hot spring is incredibly relaxing and offers excellent privacy. They even provide complimentary grapefruit and grapefruit tea, and the toiletries are from Le Labo, adding to the luxurious feel. The breakfast is plentiful, with plenty of protein, staple foods, and vegetables. The service is truly exceptional, making guests feel right at home. We didn't know that airport transfers were only available, but the staff offered to take us to the high-speed rail station if no other guests needed a transfer. It's been a long time since I've experienced such excellent service at a hotel. Having only been open for a little over a month, I hope they maintain this high standard of service and accommodation. It's definitely the best choice for visiting Datong. The only three minor drawbacks are: the pillows were a little soft (the staff mentioned on the way back that they had received feedback that buckwheat pillows and memory foam pillows were available and could be requested from the butler); and the lack of a smart toilet seat, which was a little cold at first in winter."

"Staying at Ji Xia Shan for four days and three nights in Datong was an absolute delight, a truly pleasant surprise! It was my first experience with the Ji Xia Shan brand, and I'm already looking forward to visiting Meili! We stayed in the Dieyin Courtyard room, which had a small private courtyard. Each tree in the room and throughout the hotel had a tag identifying its species – such a cute little detail. The room's snacks and fruits were refreshed daily, and the nightly sweet soups were never repeated. The first night was bird's nest soup, the second was corn soup, and the third was brown sugar peach gum. Breakfast was a semi-buffet, with small portions allowing us to sample many dishes, which was great for avoiding waste. For our anniversary, the hotel specially decorated our room and even gifted us a delicious, freshly made cake. We felt a bit bad that we couldn't finish it all and caused some waste. The hotel's overall design creates a comfortable and cozy atmosphere, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility. It feels full of positive energy, with its water features and swaying tree shadows exuding vitality and spirit. The staff are all young, well-groomed, and professional ladies and gentlemen. They are warm, generous, and their service is natural and friendly, which was very endearing. Stepping out of the hotel, the view is expansive, directly facing the eastern city wall. Downstairs are Dongnanyi and the hotel's own Yungang Art Museum. During our trip, we caught the 'Pine Under the Mountain' exhibition and learned that the brand's founder is actually from Shanxi. Datong itself is a fantastic city. Besides its numerous ancient buildings that are a feast for the eyes, it has a rich, comfortable, and natural local atmosphere. 😌"

"The holiday yard is by the Yujiazhai Lake. It seems to be a total of ten holiday yards. We have one of them. After we went there, the operation brother gave the communication and then moved to No. 8 courtyard. The yard is large in size and the decoration is very stylish and tasteful! There is also a large terrace on the second floor. When the weather is good, the terrace must be very comfortable to play poker! There are two rooms in the yard, equipped with a kitchen terrace, yard, and mobile stereo! We went to barbecue. The operation brother and housekeeping Xiao sister enthusiastically prepared charcoal and barbecue grills for us. They were attentive and thoughtful. The experience was very good. "My daughter and I made plans to see a JJ Lin concert in Beijing. She mentioned the spectacular thousand-year-old wooden pagoda in nearby Datong's Yingxian County, so we decided to visit Datong. When we booked a hotel, we found a fantastic deal, so we booked five nights, only arriving in Beijing for one. Once we arrived, we discovered Datong is truly a gem. The temperature was a comfortable 20 degrees Celsius, and the attractions were breathtaking, from the natural wonders—the earth forests and volcanic clusters—to the cultural and historical attractions—the Yungang Grottoes, the Datong Museum, the Hanging Temple, the wooden pagoda, and the Huayan Temple. I highly recommend this B&B. It's clean, the service is excellent, and the location is fantastic. In the morning, when I opened the curtains, I could see the sunrise over the mountains—a breathtaking view. It's also conveniently located near the train station, just a 10-minute bike ride to the ancient city. The shopping mall is just around the corner, and the famous Long Juxiang is right there—delicious food with no lines. The best part is, I expected the proximity to the train station to be noisy, but it was incredibly quiet. Otherwise, I would have stayed a few more days to catch the concert in Beijing. Datong was the main attraction of this concert trip, and the concert itself took a back seat. I was so happy!"

"The room is large, the sanitation is very clean, the bed quality is good, two pillows, one latex, one cotton, you can choose by yourself, there is a charging pile outside the window, very quiet, no high-rise buildings, privacy protection is better. The front desk staff was very good at serving, and the surrounding food and attractions were more patient and detailed. The reception space at the front desk is large and the facilities are partitioned. The quality of the breakfast buffet is average and not recommended."
