"Every moment here was absolutely wonderful! They were very accommodating with my requests, all the staff were friendly, and the room was quiet, clean, and had an incredible view. The breakfast was also well-prepared, compact, and tasted excellent. It's close to the First cable car, there's a supermarket right in front, and it's not far to walk from Grindelwald station. If I go again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel. For all the Koreans traveling to Switzerland, if you go to Grindelwald, definitely try staying at this hotel!"

"I ended up booking a hostel bed because it was the only option left, and honestly, I was dreading it beforehand. Little did I know, my 'dream hill' would turn into a 'nightmare hill'! So, I accidentally missed my train in Switzerland (maybe couldn't find it, or got off at the wrong stop), which meant a 30-60 minute delay... and then I missed the hostel's last bus. I thought, '15-minute walk, no big deal, a little uphill is fine.' But it wasn't just a simple uphill, it was an incredibly steep climb! Dragging a 40lb suitcase left me utterly defeated. The front desk guy was busy checking in other guests (yep, only one staff member there), so he couldn't come help me halfway up the mountain until after 10 PM. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service who kept me company on the phone during that time (it was so quiet on the hillside, not a soul around)... When I finally got to the hostel, I found out it was mixed-gender dorms. First time sharing a room with a bunch of guys, scared me to death! 🤯 The snoring was... well, hilarious haha 😂. Still, I'm grateful. That luggage was seriously heavy; I spent 7 minutes hauling it up the mountain, completely exhausted and burnt out. The next day was my birthday, and the front desk guy, with a bright smile, wished me 'Happy birthday,' as if last night's nightmare had truly just been a dream."

"Great location, just a 2-minute walk from the train station, and right outside is the bus terminal. I arrived in the morning and was able to store my luggage first. The hotel also provided a free bus pass. The room facilities are excellent, and there's even a balcony where you can see snow-capped peaks on a clear day. Breakfast was also very good. The only downside is the shower/bathtub design; the glass screen only covers about 30% of the tub, and the seal at the bottom isn't tight, so a lot of water splashes out when you shower, leaving a large wet area on the floor."

"Best part of my Europe trip! Firstly, the location is really good, it is right beside the Grindelwald Terminal station, which is really well connected to all the tourist spots of the Jungfrau region and also the Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen areas. The view was the best part of the stay. Shoutout to Benjamin! He got us Room 301, from which the Eiger North Face was right in front of the room balcony. The room was really good too, a bunk bed and 2 single beds. One thing you should know is that the shower area has no door lol. Amenities were just a hand soap and a body wash. They have laundry machines for 5CHF, a great breakfast spread, a community hall with billiards table and a mini kitchen. There's also a great grill and bar restaurant open till 9pm. There's a Coop in the terminal, but it closes by 7pm, had all the essentials. I'm definitely coming back to Eiger Lodge Chic and asking Benjamin for a room!"

"The hotel is located high up on a hill, offering great views on a clear day. It's also very close to Grindelwald station. Before check-in, the owner emailed me to fill out my personal information in advance, but it was a bit tricky to do, so I figured it would be easier to just fill it out at the front desk when I arrived. However, when I got there, the lady at the front desk was quite displeased and deliberately made me wait for a long time, claiming that if I had completed the online form beforehand, I wouldn't have caused such a delay. All in all, despite that, it's a charming local chalet with beautiful weather and scenery, making for a great experience."

"This place is truly the best! Since it operates as both a hostel and a hotel, the lobby and breakfast facilities are exceptionally well-maintained. Most importantly, it's right next to the Grindelwald Terminal and directly connected via the parking lot access. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the view of the Eiger North Face is absolutely stunning... There's a stream flowing right beside it, and even a resident cat! While the shower facilities are a bit of a walk, there are plenty of stalls, and a separate area to keep your belongings dry, plus hairdryers are provided. The communal kitchen allows for everything except using open flames, so you can stock up at the Coop supermarket and cook here! It's genuinely the best. Just one tiny regret though – I really wish the dormitory rooms had curtains, even just small ones, that would make it perfect. Haha."

"## Environment The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery. ## Facilities Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day. ## Service Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day."

"This hotel is very nice, located halfway up the mountain, quieter and more comfortable than the hotels on the roadside. The room faces the mountain. It has its own parking lot. Breakfast is available until 11 o'clock. There are many varieties and hot food. It is also okay to continue parking after checking out until you finish your afternoon tour. The service staff are very enthusiastic. The room has slippers of good quality, the minibar is free, and there is a gym and spa."

The array of options available was impressive, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. this hotel left a lasting impression on me. "It's close to the station. The room is warmly furnished and the lighting is very atmospheric. It's amazing at first sight when you open the door! There were few choices for breakfast. I didn’t find any shampoo or shower gel until I took a shower on the first day. However, when we asked about it the next day, a guy at the counter helped us bring it to the room. Thank you!"
