Hotels with Rooftop Pools in Hurghada

"The hotel is located in Makadi Bay, about 30 kilometers from Hurghada city center. Prima Life in Makadi Bay seems to be one of the hotels with the highest occupancy, almost always fully booked. During our two-day stay, we were the only four Chinese guests; everyone else was European or American. The hotel is quite large and has its own beach where you can swim and snorkel. The room was very clean, and the bed sheets weren't pilling, but the facilities are a bit old. The bathroom drain was very slow and would get clogged during peak water usage in the evening, but showering outside of peak hours was fine. The hotel has four restaurants, but only the main restaurant was open every day. The food selection was rich and tasty; the roasted camel meat was particularly delicious. The beach bar also served freshly baked pizza from a wood-fired oven every afternoon and offered daily specialty cocktails. The service at the front desk, restaurant, and bar was good, with one exception: a waiter named Mohammed at the Oriental restaurant completely ignored us. When ordering, all the foreigners who arrived after us were served, but he didn't acknowledge the four of us. I tried to catch his eye several times, but he looked right through me. Eventually, I had to wave him down and directly ask him why he couldn't see me, and only then did he quickly serve our food. The Oriental restaurant was our only somewhat negative experience; everything else felt great. For an all-inclusive hotel costing just over 1,000, it offers excellent value for money. Overall, I highly recommend it."

"First off, the hotel environment is simply stunning. Facing the sea, the gradient blue is absolutely gorgeous! We booked a sea-view room, and the one we got was fantastic, also facing the ocean. We booked an island hopping tour through a travel agency, and it turned out the boarding pier was right next to the hotel, just a 10-minute walk away, which was incredibly convenient. A great feature of this hotel is the public shower rooms with hot water. Even after checking out, you can still use them after returning from your island tour. A special thanks to the hotel manager. I misplaced a valuable item due to my own oversight, and the manager patiently reviewed the surveillance footage the entire time, eventually helping me find it. This really shows how reliable the hotel's security is. Vehicle checks for entry and exit are quite strict, and sometimes the security guards at the main gate even check if passengers have the hotel's wristbands."

"The place and the service are good. The animation team are a bit rubbish. However, the external performers are excellent. We saw a marching band and a fire act which were both excellent. The place states it’s a 5 star ultra all inclusive, I would say personally that it’s a good 4 star. I would possibly stay again but I’m not in any rush to go back."

"A question for trip.com: why is a 4-star hotel sold as 5-star??? Now about the hotel. Although it's a 4-star, many 5-star hotels are inferior. I've verified this from my own experience. I loved literally everything. Although we initially went with the expectation that we would be disappointed because it was a 4-star. The food was excellent. The alcohol was good quality. The beach was fantastic (the entrance into the sea is excellent and there are small reefs for snorkeling). The staff was friendly. There was entertainment, and it was quite good. We were truly very pleased, and something I rarely do (there are a couple of hotels I would return to again) – I will return to this hotel because I liked it."

"We stayed in a small suite in Building 4 for 3 nights, and the overall experience was absolutely fantastic! Everything from the hotel's scenic environment, service, food, to the planned activities was truly amazing. Three nights just weren't enough. Building 4 is incredibly convenient for accessing all the restaurants, the infinity pool, and the diving lagoon, and the sea view is stunning. Honestly, you can see beautiful sea views from anywhere in the hotel, but convenience really is key. From the moment we checked in, we met Du Fei – I was surprised by how young and handsome he was, and he was exceptionally kind. We encountered wonderful staff with great service at every restaurant, always smiling kindly and chatting with us, even complimenting me! Especially the person in the photo, who was incredibly nice and thoughtful. I think he looks a lot like Carrie's *** best friend (Stanford Blatch) from Sex and the City, haha. He's genuinely a great person, constantly moving between different restaurants – I wonder if he's a manager. If any of you go there after reading my review, please say hi to him for me! The hotel's five restaurants are all incredibly well-thought-out, offering Asian, Turkish, and Italian cuisines. Pay special attention to the food description signs, as they clearly mark characteristic dishes from different countries, allowing you to choose based on your preferences. I found something I loved at every restaurant, all while enjoying beautiful sea views. The fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails were continuously available, as was the ongoing supply of bakery items – so delicious! It truly felt like living the pampered life on a cruise ship; I gained 6 pounds here! The hotel activities are incredibly rich and varied, with a fantastic entertainment team and DJ. I participated in so many activities: yoga, stretching, Zumba... After a few days, the entertainment team even recognized me. The hotel has different special programs on specific days each week, like the pink infinity pool party, beach fire dance show, and theater Zumba. Every day was super busy, moving between my room, restaurants, the infinity pool, and the beach, but also super happy. The hotel offers incredible value for money – beautiful scenery, delicious food, and wonderful service. I will definitely be back again!"

"The hotel is simple in a good way. The rooms are small but well designed so it is ok. The pool is huge and everybody is around not in which is even better for people who like to swim quietly. The beach is artificial but that is the way it is. The breakfast is outstanding, on of the best ever, and god knows how many breakfasts I have eaten in hotels. The a la carte menu that you can have at the pool bar or at your lounge chair is short but very tasty. Little deception with the buffet that we took at dinner on our arrival, but you have so many options to dine out as the hotel is located 50 meters from the ”center”, an open air food court with very good restaurants if you choose carefully. Last but not least, If you are into kiting and/or wing-foiling the hotel has an agreement with the Duotone Center located in Casa Cook's a sister hotel. It is a 15 minute ride by Tuk Tuk. In a nutshell we recommend."

"Booked a king-sized bed, but got a twin room instead. The outdoor scenery is amazing, and there's a private beach. Breakfast was just okay, not much meat. The hygiene was decent, but there were no toothbrushes or combs, so you probably have to ask for them. The tour booking desk closes at 6 PM, so you have to go in person after that."

"Typical Egypt with its typical nuances. There's a high turnover of people; to eat, you have to try to find a place inside, and if outside, you have to manage to eat before the crows eat your food. The food selection is average, as is the quality (my tummy was pretty upset after my last dinner). I stayed in the ”new” building, 6232. It's the very last building on the left side of the sea pool. As far as I know, compared to the old building, it's Luxury. I had virtually no complaints about the room. The lights worked, the air conditioning worked, the shower/toilet worked. The linens didn't feel fresh at all, though... There were ants wandering around the refrigerator, but that must have been something the previous guests left for them to eat. The room was superficially cleaned; beach sand from previous guests remained during my stay and never disappeared. The staff were top-notch! On beer since 10:00 and with the vibe of the 2000s)) It's perfectly fine to hang out for three days."

"The hotel was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. It offers several pools and restaurants, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The nighttime pool view from the balcony was stunning, and dining with a view of the pool created a very calm and enjoyable atmosphere. The only downsides were the following: although the hotel has a beach, swimming in the sea is not possible because of the coral coral reefs and the area is not designed for swimming. Another issue was the the quality of some food items. While there was a good variety of restaurants and dishes, not all of the food items were well prepared. For example, the burgers, chicken tenders, and kofta at the Sunset restaurant, and the lamb kofta at Melange restaurant were not very good, i mean they were cooked good but not tasty. However, there were still some other dishes that tasted verygood."
