"We stayed at the Floral Hotel beside Dream Valley during Chinese New Year, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in China. While the location is already a major advantage being just steps away from Dream Valley and close to the other Hengdian attractions - what truly sets this hotel apart is the heart and personality behind it. This is not a typical boutique hotel. It’s a place shaped by the owners’ passion, taste, and genuine care for their guests. From the moment you arrive, you can feel that the hotel is a labor of love. The architecture and interior design are beautifully curated, with many pieces collected by the owners over the years. Walking through the courtyard and hallways feels like stepping into a different era, almost like entering a scene from the Song dynasty. Yet the rooms themselves are fully modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. It’s a rare blend of historical atmosphere and contemporary convenience, and it creates a sense of immersion that you simply don’t get at most hotels in the area. Even though we didn’t stay in the hotel’s best room, we were extremely comfortable. The beds are very firm - something to keep in mind depending on your preference - but we slept well. The room features a large, modern soaking tub that’s perfect after a long day of walking through the film sets and a separate bathroom and shower. And one of our favorite touches was the smart projector in the room, which turns a simple movie night into a cinematic experience. It’s small details like these that show how much thought has gone into making the stay enjoyable. But the true highlight of our visit was the hospitality. The owners are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome. On one rainy day, when there wasn’t much for us to do outside, they invited us into their main hall for tea. They set up a traditional tea table with a heated brazier, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere that felt like visiting old friends rather than staying at a hotel. They kept bringing local snacks: seeds, small rice cakes, and even freshly cooked sweet potato - all offered freely and with genuine kindness. My wife and kids loved every bit of it. What could have been a dull, rainy afternoon became one of our favorite memories of the entire trip. Their kindness extended beyond that moment. At one point, we accidentally made a mess in our room (entirely our fault) and the owners helped us clean up without a hint of frustration or judgment. It’s rare to find that level of patience and understanding, especially during the busy holiday season. Breakfast each morning was another highlight. The hotel has a local cook who clearly takes pride in her craft. The dishes were fresh and simple but full of flavor, prepared with care and attention. You could feel her pride in everything she served. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and appreciate the home cooked moment, rather than rushing through a buffet line like at larger hotels. All in all, this hotel was a true win for us. The personal touches, the warmth of the owners, the passion of the cook, and the unique atmosphere created by the carefully collected antiques all come together to create an experience that stands out among the many boutique hotels in the area. In fact, I would say it’s probably better than any other hotel around Hengdian. It’s rare to find a place that feels both deeply rooted in local culture and fully equipped with modern comforts, but this hotel manages to do exactly that. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Hengdian, whether for the parks, the film sets, or simply a relaxing getaway. And if we ever return to the area, we would stay here again without hesitation."

"I was stay at this hotel for 3 nights. Receptionist were so friendly. She makes me feel home. She helped me to call for Didi & room operating. Cleaning lady was very polite. Rooms were spacious, well decorated, clean & smell nice. Breakfast was good, surprisingly they served without me asking when am unwind in the garden. I will definetely come back 🤩"

"Very friendly and great hospitality by the owners. They are friendly and helpful and gave us a food and attraction strategy guide which was very useful as our purpose in Hengdian was to visit the major filming studios. The estate was located deep in a neighbourhood area and we have a small problem locating the front entrance desk. Currently they are still doing upgrading to the estate with gardens and swimming pool (refer to photo). I'm sure it will look amazing once completed. The estate was built in 2023 from the ground up and was designed by the same designer who did the Qin Palace. No wonder this homestay has this ancient building look. The room was pretty nice but I find the bed to be too stiff. I'm used to a soft and cushy kind of bed back home and couldn't sleep well for the 3 nights we are there. My family members have no such problem though. Homemade breakfast was provided everyday by 1 of the cleaner cum cook lady. She was super friendly and the food are fantastic and healthy. This is definitely worth a look if you are looking for accomodation in Hengdian and want to experience a more localised feel compared to a standard hotel stay."

"The room layout is very good and very cozy. The bed is also very comfortable, especially the breakfast, which is delicious and nutritious. The boss is very attentive! Looking forward to your next stay! Definitely recommended!"

"It is in Huayuan Village, about 20 kilometers away from Lu’s house, and is surrounded by rosewood furniture markets. The room is very large. The twin room we stayed in was equipped with a 1.35-meter bed with a very comfortable mattress. The bathroom is also very large, with independent toilet and shower, and the basin area is at least 5㎡. The room is also equipped with a multifunctional sofa, which can be used for sitting or lying, suitable for a relaxing nap. The breakfast variety is quite rich, including Chinese, Western and noodle stalls. There are many vegetable salads to choose from, and more than 10 kinds of stir-fried vegetables, fried noodles and fried rice. The service is generally good. Xiao Qiao at the front desk gave us some cookies when we checked in. After we entered the room, we asked the switchboard how to open the refrigerator and the service staff immediately came to our rescue. The overall feeling is that it is at the high four-star level, and the price of 500+ including two breakfasts is acceptable during the Spring Festival."

"I am really satisfied with this stay! When I checked in, the front desk staff was not only efficient, but also enthusiastically gave me a small New Year gift, which was so thoughtful! The room is clean and tidy, the layout is warm, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and I slept very well at night. The theme of the hotel is very unique. Having stayed in so many hotels, the rooms at the Qigu Tent Hotel in Mengquan Valley are the most distinctive. Each room has a large courtyard and fresh air. Living in the valley is very quiet and suitable for lying down, which is good news for lazy people. The key point is that a single stay also includes 2 tickets to the hot spring scenic area, which is very cost-effective! ! What I want to say in particular is that the environment of the hotel is really, really good! The air conditioning and floor heating in the room are super powerful. There is also a large campsite next to it which I heard is not open yet. I can't wait for the weather to get warmer and then invite my friends to come together!"

"A perfect stay experience! I must give thumbs up to all aspects of the B&B, especially the service team of the few guys. Upgraded rooms, campfire movies, pet-friendly, and sunny weather almost satisfy all the wonderful imagination of slow life in a vacation B&B! There are also delicious meals and afternoon tea. I will definitely stay here again next time."

"The rooms are clean and tidy, with complete facilities and disposable items much better than ordinary hotel chains. Outside the window is the bamboo forest, you can eat the fresh bamboo shoots dug that day, and the taste of the aunt at the hotel is very good. The activities arranged by the homestay are even better. Picking tea and fried tea, digging bamboo tube rice, and making tea soap are full of time. It is not boring to take the children to go there. Even if you don’t want to participate in these activities, it is good to stroll around in the mountains to breathe fresh air and drink tea and chat. The homestay also provides free photos. In short, it is really a good place for leisure, looking forward to coming again next time!"
