The front desk service was excellent too; they were very prompt with printing and opening doors for us. It's a testament to their popularity that there's a constant stream of guests at the front desk, even at this time of year. The surrounding area, a Tanka fishing village, has a relaxed, down-to-earth vibe that we really enjoyed. In the evening, we could stroll along the boardwalk on the opposite beach and even saw some 'catch-the-sea' aunties (women foraging for seafood). The only minor drawback was that the cleanliness could have been a little better."

GGuest UserThis guesthouse deserves the highest praise of my entire Hainan trip, surpassing all other ultra-luxury hotels I've stayed at! During our stay, we encountered Super Typhoon Kujira! Their emergency response capabilities were truly remarkable! Special mention must be given to butlers Xiao He and Wang Yang! Their service, attitude, and thoughtful consideration for our needs made our whole family feel truly at home! It also dispelled any fear we might have had during our stay due to Typhoon Kujira! They were incredibly responsive to our needs, and even when we didn't ask, they proactively considered various issues for us. To express their apologies for the power outage caused during our stay, they offered to waive one night's room rate, but we understood that this wasn't caused by the hotel and politely declined. They even upgraded our room during our stay! Absolutely fantastic!!

WwggmffThe sea at Clear Water Bay has a calming power; the blue transitions from clear transparency nearby to a profound depth in the distance, and the beach sand is so white and fine, it feels soft underfoot. The hotel gardens are filled with tropical plants, and the faint scent of frangipani makes you unconsciously slow your pace while walking the paths. The Hainanese noodles and 'Qingbuliang' (a local dessert soup) for breakfast were very authentic and satisfying every day. Our butler Chloe provided attentive, professional, and gentle service, which made us feel very at ease. Everything about this stay was wonderful, and I'll definitely choose Raffles again when I come back to Hainan.

GGuest UserHaving stayed at many hotels in Hainan, such as Park Hyatt, EDITION, and Ritz-Carlton, this was my first time at Capella. Initially, I heard that Capella was more suited for family trips because of its numerous children's activities, and even a kids' club service. However, no one mentioned if Capella was suitable for couples, but now I know the answer.
Speaking solely of Capella's service, it's the best among all the hotels I've stayed at in Sanya. Our Capella butler, Lydia, sent us cake and flowers after learning we were on our honeymoon (she even offered wine, but we had our own), which was incredibly thoughtful. After we requested a thermometer, she also proactively checked if we had a fever and if we needed fever medication.
If I had to describe it in two words, it would be: meticulous and considerate.
If I had to mention a downside, it's that Capella offers too many activities. The breakfast buffet runs until noon, there's afternoon tea, and evening cocktails and snacks. If you try to do everything every day, you might miss the chance to experience Capella's Chinese restaurant. Actually, the Chinese restaurant's dishes are excellent. Their roasted goose (requires one-day advance booking) and poached chicken are the best I've had in Sanya (Park Hyatt doesn't even have roasted goose, can you believe it?).
It's also worth noting that Capella isn't far from Clearwater Bay and Lingshui County, making it convenient to explore authentic local cuisine and visit the Freedom Lighthouse.
Finally, a big thank you again to Lydia. Although our stay at Capella was only five days, the experience was truly, truly unforgettable!

GGuest UserDisadvantages: 1. The geographical location is extremely remote. Apart from being close to Bianjiezhou Island, which is about 8km away, it is far away from anywhere. You can’t take a taxi or order takeout, and none of the restaurants that can pick you up are willing to pick you up. It’s basically impossible to travel without a self-driving car. To eat seafood, we have to go to Xincun Pier. It takes nearly 2 hours to drive there and back. We have dinner and go out at 6 o’clock, and come back at 10 o’clock.
2. It says that breakfast is delivered to the room, but there are very few types. If you stay in other hotels, you can eat breakfast as lunch. If you can eat well, you can't expect it if you stay here. If you don't have enough, you can't eat well. You have to go out for lunch. The transportation is not convenient, which adds a lot of time and money. hidden expenses.
3. The TV remote control is very insensitive and the air conditioner is very noisy.
Advantages: 1. The apartment design is beautiful and the partitions are reasonable, suitable for two families to play together

The beach is private, so there are very few people, and the water temperature isn't cold, making it perfect for swimming.
