My stay at Tenglongge Panoramic Inn was an unforgettable package of delightful surprises and genuine warmth!
First off, the location is simply unbeatable – truly the prime viewing spot for the Longji Terraces. Open your window, and you're immediately greeted by the breathtaking, undulating curves of the rice paddies. When the clouds and mist roll in, it feels like living inside a classical painting. And watching the wisps of smoke rise from the valley at dusk, time genuinely seems to slow to a crawl. The inn itself is also incredibly clean and comfortable; every nook and cranny is meticulously tidied, making it a perfectly reassuring choice for families traveling with children.
The proprietress was even more heartwarming, treating us like close family. She welcomed us with hot tea the moment we arrived, enthusiastically sharing tips on the best spots for sunset views and recommending the most delicious bamboo rice. She even helped us carry our luggage all the way to our room.
But what I'll truly remember for a lifetime was the 'drone scare' that evening! It was already dark, and I was trying to capture night photos of the terraced fields when I accidentally flew my drone a bit too high. With the low visibility, it crashed into the trees, and I instantly panicked. As I was squatting on the ground, frantically trying to figure out what to do, the innkeeper appeared with a flashlight and simply said, 'Come on, I'll help you find it!'
It was pitch black in the mountains that night, impossible to see your hand in front of your face, and the path was incredibly steep. As we walked, a small venomous snake suddenly darted out, scaring me so much I almost screamed. But with lightning-fast reflexes, the innkeeper grabbed a branch and deftly pushed the snake away. We continued our search for nearly half an hour, stumbling through the uneven terrain, until we finally located the drone, tangled in grass and leaves within the bushes. I was overwhelmed with gratitude and relief, yet still shaking from the scare. He was drenched in sweat but kept repeating, 'As long as it's found, that's all that matters.'
This wasn't just a hotel stay; it truly felt like finding kind-hearted family in the mountains! And as for the scenery? Words aren't enough – I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. After all, even a tiny glimpse through the lens is enough to linger in your memory for a long, long time. Next time I'm in Longji, I'm definitely staying here again!

The hotel's decor is truly unique and incredibly photogenic, perfect for taking stunning pictures. As a classic stilt house of the Hong Yao ethnic group, we were immediately struck by its charm upon entering. The ambiance is exceptional, arguably the best in the area, and it's conveniently located close to both viewing platforms.
The spacious interiors, filled with an antique charm, were an absolute bonus, deserving all the praise! 👍
The hotel is family-run, and the owners are incredibly warm and friendly. They are quick to assist with any issues. We even received a 50% discount when visiting Jinfoding just by mentioning the hotel's name! The owner also helped arrange our return trip to Guilin station flawlessly.
The owner's home-cooked dishes were incredibly delicious – we were completely satisfied with every meal. For breakfast, they even invited us to try their wonderfully fragrant local specialty, 'Youcha' (oil tea).
The most remarkable part was their dog! When we left at 5 AM to catch the sunrise, their dog faithfully followed us. Initially, we were a bit wary, thinking it might be aggressive, but then we realized it was actually leading us all the way to the viewing platform. That dog definitely deserves an extra treat! 🦴 While five stars is the maximum rating, it doesn't fully capture how exceptional this hotel is. I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.

All in all an extremely pleasant stay! The location is absolutely stunning. Sure, it might be a little bit off the beaten track, but the views are all the more rewarding and the hiking path from Dazhai is also highly recommended.
The hotel lobby also functions as a big living room and a little restaurant run by the owners. The food is excellent and well priced (definitely try their rice wine!). Because we were there in winter and it was cold, the owners even put a small radiator under our table to make it comfortable.
Generally, the owners were super nice and friendly and adding their absolutely adorable puppy, we almost couldn't bring ourselves to leave.
The rooms were very clean, have a small separate bathroom and we had a small balcony with view over the rice terraces. For a more budget option there is also rooms without AC or view, in that case you can still enjoy quite a bit of the scenery from the living room downstairs or just by exploring the surroundings on foot. (The picture is shot from our balcony, but sadly some of the view was obscured by the winter mist.)
We will definitely try to come again sometime in summer and are already excited thinking about staying in this hotel again.

Guest UserThe family who run are very accommodating and friendly. They’re on the lower part of the village which is good because not so many stairs to climb up to reach them, but the view is just the side of the rice terraces not overlooking them all. They helped us carry our bags up and were quick to supply us with whatever we were lacking. The rooms were very clean and new, nice woodsy smell, and excellent views of greenery outside. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the evening, it’s so quiet and dark with the sounds of a small waterfall and frogs. She made us breakfast according to our time schedule, really delicious traditional rice noodles with fried eggs. We had dinner there one evening too and really liked her style of cooking. We all agreed it was the best rice we’ve had in China! I would definitely recommend staying!

This is the second time to come to Dragon Ridge, last time stayed on the edge of Kowloon Five Tigers, did not climb to the mountain, but, the other end is the mountain view, that is, the room does not have terraces to see, so, this time I want to try the Ping An Village, this should be an old hotel, but the sanitary view is top-notch, although not like the Kowloon Five Tigers can Take the shuttle bus to the hotel door, but this is only two minutes walk to get off the bus, the hotel food is cooked by the boss, the hotel's pick-up service is the boss's own responsibility, a decent B&B, bed sheets and bath towels are very clean, the water is very hot, the large balcony is directly looking at the terraces, super high value for money, worth recommending. Pictures 1 and 2 were taken from the balcony. They are super beautiful. . By the way, there are many shops on Kowloon Five Tigers that borrow folk costumes. A set is 20 yuan. Really, everyone has come here. It is still very good to borrow a set to take pictures.

Guest UserThe hosts were very kind and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They picked us up from the bus station, dropped us off, and even organized our bus tickets to Guilin. The food was also delicious and traditional. I would book this accommodation again based solely on these experiences. However, it's important to note that there's only a squat toilet and the bed is very hard. The view of the rice terraces is also very beautiful.

Guest UserThe name of the hostel is One Family, and that is exactly what you will get here, since the second day I found myself sitting at the table with the whole family running the place feeling sort of part of this family. On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this!
But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here.
Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.

All these photos were taken from the balcony of the B&B! ! The owner of the B&B is very hospitable and the food is super delicious. I had to eat another bowl of my favorite noodle soup before leaving! With such a beautiful view and the friendly local Red Yao proprietress, we stayed one more night. Come on everyone, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, beyond words! ! !
