Mountain view Hotels in Longsheng

If you get the chance to visit Longji/Longsheng to hike through the amazing rice paddies, then you absolutely must stay at Li'An Lodge. The rooms are lovely, clean and quaint, and a cultural alternative to the more modern options in the larger cities. The lodge is run by Aaron who goes above and beyond to help visitors, give local recs, and speaks perfect English. He will also help you avoid any tourist traps.  Li'An lodge is also built on the highest point so you have a fabulous view, and is situated right at the starting point of the main hike in local area. The rooms give you a great view of the rice paddies and the village.  The food is simple and great, or you can eat around the town, which is very atmospheric. We came in the low season end of March, which was misty but fab and we had most of the places to ourselves.  Really can't recommend enough. If you get to Guilinxi (station) they will send a driver to get you. You can also book directly with the hotel over email with Aaron which is easy and efficient. 

I took advantage of the last days of summer vacation for a summer getaway, choosing the Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Picking Rice. I searched for a hotel for a long time before booking Yixi in advance, and it was definitely the right choice. I was initially worried about parking in the mountains and the cleanliness of the hotel facilities, but I was wrong. It was very convenient; the owner sent a car to pick me up from the parking lot, and we didn't have to walk far. The hotel was designed by the owner himself, and it's absolutely perfect. Every snapshot is beautiful. I could sit by the window all day, enjoying a cappuccino – I loved it! This time I came alone, but I'll bring my family to stay longer when the rice paddies turn golden, and we'll definitely choose Yixi again…

The room condition was excellent, and the view was absolutely stunning. We could take amazing photos right from our room. The owner was very thoughtful and paid great attention to detail. He's also a fantastic photographer; the pictures he took of our family of four were beautiful. All our meals were at the hotel. The breakfast rice noodle set was very flavorful, and the lunch and dinner dishes were delicious, offering both home-style and local flavors. Longji Terraces, we'll be back! The hotel's location is excellent, you can drive right to the entrance, and parking is super convenient (they even have charging stations!!). The service is fantastic, and the hotel restaurant serves delicious food. The rooms are clean, tidy, and spacious, with balconies that offer breathtaking, unbeatable views right outside your window. A special mention goes to the hotel's kitchen, which is spotlessly clean and hygienic, giving you complete peace of mind. It's also just a 10-minute drive to the No. 1 observation deck, Xishan Shaole.

The views are great and the bedrooms clean, including the air. The bed was comfortable—but hard so make sure this is what you like. It was the first and possibly only one that was amply long enough for me and for a European I am not crazy tall. The host was generally polite and friendly, but maybe due to the language gap a little laid back in providing information. On arrival the main areas smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and the host was casual with smoking behind the desk. This was also the case the next morning, so it was a bit difficult to breathe during breakfast. After a very long hike I decided not to return before having dinner as I was too tired to face the smokey room. However, after I returned there was a local lady there and the smoking had miraculously stopped and the air been cleared out… much better as the bedrooms are advertised as non-smoking and likely booked by many non-smoking patrons, so it was hard to understand the atmosphere of the shared area. It meant it was unattractive to have tea in there even though it is offered in the package. The host was also not pro-active about offering this, including for breakfast. It is easier here if you are a person who demands things. I am not… Breakfast was simple but good and the host was very kind in changing the menu for me when it turned out I didn’t eat pork. For anyone inclined to walking to Ping-an: it’s nice and fun and a pretty walk but it’s quite long. I used the signs and Strava to navigate. However, you can take a didi (local Uber) back, so don’t worry too much about having to walk that too! In case you are like me and have no idea if didi’s operate in national parks. They do here.

We stayed at the Longsheng Huanlongge Panorama Inn for one night while visiting the rice terraces. We arrived at the hotel after taking a bus and then taxi from Guilin. The hotel is up a hill from where the taxi can drop you, but your luggage is carried up to the top using a special winch system! On arrival we were offered tea and local berries which were lovely. We had our room upgraded to a suite at the very top of the hotel building which offered amazing views over the rice terraces from its private wraparound balcony! The room itself was clean and comfortable with a huge amount of space. We ate dinner in the hotels restaurant which was tasty and reasonably priced when taking the location into account. One of our highlights was the included breakfast, there were lots of different parts of it, which were all delicious. After checking out we hiked through the rice terraces to Ping’an where we caught a bus back to Guilin. The hotel were also very helpful advising us about the hike, buses, luggage storage etc. They also had a very cute dog who was very well behaved! A big advantage of staying here was experiencing the rice terraces before the bus loads of tourists arrived. We would recommend staying here.

I really want to leave a review of the hotel and the area in general. We stayed here with our family and children for two nights. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel and the hosts' hospitality! They welcomed us like family! Warm, thoughtful, and attentive! The boutique hotel is modern and stylish, with a smart home system throughout. Cleanliness, excellent air conditioning, crisp white linens, towels, and robes. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Everything is new and perfect. It's a little piece of luxury, modern paradise amidst stunning mountain scenery! The food is incredibly delicious. We ate all our meals at the hotel and enjoyed every dish! The view from our room was stunning! Special thanks for taking us everywhere and patiently waiting while we explored. They gave us so many gifts! I'd dreamed of a photo shoot, and it was so nice to receive that as a gift! And the trip to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset was incredible, magical! Every moment was taken care of! All our wishes were fulfilled instantly, as if the hosts could read our minds. My worries about insects were in vain. No one bit us. We felt like we were in a fairy tale!!! I'll definitely come back to China again, and I'll definitely come back here and stay at this hotel!

An absolute gem in the Longji Rice Terraces – don’t miss it! We absolutely loved our stay at Moro. The hotel itself is beautiful, with breathtaking views over the rice terraces and a perfect location for exploring the area on foot. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and waking up surrounded by this incredible landscape is truly special. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the amazing staff. Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming and genuinely caring. Whatever we needed, they were always there to help, finding a solution to every little problem and making sure everything was easy for us throughout our stay. Their warmth, attention and willingness to help went far beyond what we expected and made us feel incredibly well looked after. Another huge highlight was the food. We had both lunch and dinner at the hotel and everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and local, the dishes were beautifully prepared, and honestly every single thing we tried was excellent. Some of the best food we had during our entire trip to China! We genuinely cannot recommend Moro enough. If you are planning to visit the Longji Rice Terraces, this is the place to stay. Beautiful hotel, spectacular scenery, fantastic food and, above all, an exceptional team of people who make the whole experience truly memorable. We would come back without hesitation. Don’t miss this place!

This hotel is an absolute gem! I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel in Longji Terraces, debating whether to go to Pingan or Dazhai. We are so happy and grateful we ended up staying at Yanduoshansu Hotel. Everything about it was incredible. Gorgeous location at the highest point in Pingan Village, with a panoramic view of the rice terraces and village, without feeling crowded among other lodges. At night we slept with the windows open to the sound of a mountain stream and cool air. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. But the highlight was the hosts who were so kind and friendly, despite language barriers. They helped us with luggage transfers, tips for hiking around the terraces and cooked the most wonderful, flavourful homemade dinner and breakfast - probably the best food we had on our trip to Guilin. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

It was a perfect living experience. Not only was it comfortable to live here, but the owner and his family were also very welcoming and even invited me to have tea with them. Moreover, their food is super delicious, and the beer fish is also good. When you get up in the morning, you can watch the sunrise on the observation deck, watch the sunset in the evening, and you can see the terraced fields from the room. It can only be said to be perfect. However, the transportation in Longji Terraces is not very convenient, so you need to plan in advance before visiting.
