"Amazing, amazing, amazing! If you're considering this hotel, just book it with your eyes closed. The service, facilities, cleanliness, ambiance, and dining are all absolutely beyond 5-star quality.
First, let's talk about the room facilities and cleanliness. The room was stunning and spotless. As soon as I walked in, I thought, 'The design here must have been guided by an expert.' I even sent photos to friends who said it looked like something out of Muji, haha. And the view from the window? Speechless... it's a direct, unobstructed view of the rice terraces, absolutely breathtaking.
The service deserves huge praise too. Who is so good at selecting and training their staff? Can they do a training tour for all 5-star hotels nationwide? They're warm, hospitable, and a pleasure to be around. They anticipate your needs before you even think of them – they're just so proactive! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call them personal butlers. I've never had such a comfortable hotel stay.
It seems the hotel restaurant isn't listed on apps, but wow! The food was so good I wanted to hire the chef to cook for me at home. I stayed for three nights and pretty much tried all the specialty dishes. Not a single one was a miss, and it's far beyond typical farm-to-table quality. I really wanted to ask the chef which high-end hotel they trained at. 🥹
Oh, and there's an incredibly cute little dog! It's so well-behaved and clean, and it even 'waves' to ask for pets and cuddles. "

Watching the layers of terraces stretch endlessly, the scenery is truly spectacular. Anywhere you stand, the photos turn out great; you don't need to specifically search for the perfect angle."

YelianghaogeqiuThe B&B's location is fantastic, offering breathtaking views directly overlooking the terraced fields – truly picturesque! You can tell the owner has put a lot of thought into it. You can drive quite close to the B&B, and they'll help you with your luggage up a short flight of steps.
The B&B's car provides transfers to the cable car station (for viewing platform 3 and Jinfo Peak). Viewing platform 2 is just opposite; they'll drop you at the foot of the mountain, and it's a 15-25 minute climb to viewing platform 2 (the Thousand-Layer Heavenly Ladders).
We had dinner on the first day and lunch on the second day at the B&B, and the food was delicious, especially the egg-fried rice, which had that wonderful 'wok hei' flavor. They served complimentary rice wine with every meal, which was sweet and had a very low alcohol content. The B&B also offers coffee and other beverages.
They even gifted us two bottles of rice wine at the end!
We booked two rooms; this particular room faced the terraced fields directly and had a balcony. You can also try catching fish in the rice paddies, which was a lot of fun.

Anonymous UserSuper friendly and helpful boss. The room is clean and has air conditioning, although there is no need to turn it on at night. It is quite cold at night when I was here in mid September. They serve a sumptuous breakfast and provide free laundry service. Beautiful view of the rice terraces especially at night when the lights are turned on. The price is not the cheapest in the village but definitely value for money. The hotel is up on the hill and can be a quite tiring climbing to it.

A comfortable, clean, family-run hotel in an excellent location, with a warm and homey atmosphere. Coming from Chongqing, we especially appreciated how the owners went the extra mile to organize a shuttle pickup for us from Guilin North Railway Station. The shuttle connected perfectly with the regular bus to Dazhai, making the journey smooth and stress-free. They also kindly transport guests to and from the main parking area before entering Dazhai village itself.
After a long day hiking through the breathtaking rice terraces, we highly recommend trying the delicious homemade Chinese dishes prepared by the owner’s wife — authentic, fresh, and exactly what you need after trekking.
Two final tips: don’t miss the chance to try on the complimentary traditional local clothing and take photos. It’s a fun and memorable touch that adds even more charm to the overall experience.
Also, for a small fee (around 50 yuan), we had a wonderful cultural experience with two local women who proudly showcased their traditionally long hair and kindly posed with us for photos. It was a unique and memorable moment that made our stay even more special.

What truly stood out was the balcony and the breathtaking views from it; you can see vast rice terraces right from your room. The guesthouse is tucked away deep inside the village, making it a wonderfully peaceful and quiet spot. The owner is very accommodating; if they're available, they'll drive down to pick you up from the foot of the mountain, and for the return journey, an uncle will give you a ride back down on his motorbike. Do be prepared for mosquitoes and insects, as they are common in the mountains and might even get into your room. The guesthouse is conveniently located between two main viewpoints: it's a 15-minute walk to 'Thousand-Layer Terraces' and 20 minutes to 'Xishan Shaole'. I went to 'Thousand-Layer Terraces' every day to enjoy the scenery. Getting to 'Jinfoding Peak', however, requires careful navigation. I believe I missed an unmarked shortcut, which resulted in a much longer trek. It took me about an hour and a half of combined uphill and downhill hiking to reach 'Jinfoding Peak'. Even if I had found the shortcut, I estimate it would still take over an hour. The locals at the guesthouse claimed it only takes 40 minutes, but I suspect that's because they're familiar with the shortcuts and are in excellent physical condition. For anyone who isn't very fit, my strong advice is to take the cable car directly from the Dazhai car park to 'Jinfoding Peak' on your first day, explore it thoroughly, and then head down to the guesthouse.

Food: Exceptional quality. They use homegrown ingredients, and the flavors are balanced (not too spicy), which was a highlight of our trip.
Value: Very fair prices. While other locals might upcharge for food, water and transport, this hotel maintains honest rates.
Cleanliness: The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The guesthouse is located in Tiantouzhai, just a short walk from the viewing platform, which I personally feel is the best of the several viewing platforms, probably the second highest, but best for watching the sunrise and panoramic views. If you're lucky (good weather, and at the beginning or end of the ***** month), you can see a sky full of stars from the hotel's terrace at night, but you'll have to wait until later, after most of the surrounding lights have been turned off. The overall atmosphere is very soothing, perfect for relaxing after several days of travel. The service is excellent, and the owner's wife is a very good cook, quite rare, catering to a wide range of tastes. The guesthouse can book tickets back to Guilin, and the owner was very hospitable when we left, helping us get to the bus stop at the scenic area entrance.

The room was clean and tidy, the mattress and blankets were comfortable and warm, and the shower water was hot and plentiful. Standing on the balcony, you could see the entire rice terrace area, and they even provided a tripod for recording the sunrise – a rare find! The lovely landlady was warm and thoughtful, preparing ginger tea to warm everyone up, and serving local rice wine during the meal – fragrant and smooth. She also provided a basket of ethnic costumes, which we all enjoyed taking photos of. Furthermore, the hotel's public areas were exceptionally large; besides places to drink tea, read, or relax, there were even tables and ping-pong tables!

Anonymous UserThe parking lot is under a hanging foot building. After parking, it takes three or four minutes to get to the hotel. It is very convenient. There is a very narrow and steep road. It is difficult to get a car. You have to whistle more.
The homestay is on the side of a large terrace, and it is not blocked. Compared with a higher-position homestay, you can better feel the three-dimensional sense of the terraces, and you can enjoy it on the balcony. You can walk directly into the terraces of the homestay's own private (that is, a large area in front of the homestay)
The first floor is the restaurant, breakfast and dinner taste good.
Hygienic and useless is quite clean, that is, remember to close the balcony window, otherwise it will attract various insects at night.
The only deduction point is the position set by the toilet. I don’t know if other rooms are like this, but the room I stayed in was almost attached to the wall on the right side of the squat toilet. It was completely impossible to squat like a normal squat toilet. I could stand sideways. In addition, the place where the toilet paper was placed was far from the pit. It's hard to get when you're squatting...

All these photos were taken from the balcony of the B&B! ! The owner of the B&B is very hospitable and the food is super delicious. I had to eat another bowl of my favorite noodle soup before leaving! With such a beautiful view and the friendly local Red Yao proprietress, we stayed one more night.
