The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Grindelwald train station, literally a step outside. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. Our train from Zurich was cancelled that day, so we arrived very late, but they were still so welcoming and kept our rooms reserved for us. Since we had booked separate rooms, they proactively upgraded us to ensure we wouldn't have to switch rooms later on. Overall, I highly recommend it!

The room was quite comfortable and well-designed. Although it wasn't large, there was plenty of space to store luggage. The outlets included USB and Type-C charging ports, so I didn't need an adapter and had no charging anxiety. The small table and chair were a nice touch, perfect for some light work.

A lovely Swiss-style hotel located perfectly on the river front in the beautiful Interlaken Snowy mountains viewable from the bedroom window really made it a picturesque setting. Although visiting in the warmer months would be just as good. We were warmly welcomed by an enthusiastic employee, a Canadian woman who’s name we didn’t get. She made recommendations on restaurants, which were amazing, and also places to go and visit in the surrounding region. She even checked the live cameras on top of the mountains to provide us with weather conditions - amazing customer service. We highly recommend taking a train to Lauterbrunnen followed by the gondola up to Murren - the place is stunning and the views are incredible! Breakfast was enjoyable and included fresh bread from the bakery over the road, homemade Bircher muesli and the best green tea I’ve ever had! A breathtaking trip which has us wanting to go back as soon as possible!

Although the weather didn't quite cooperate during my stay, the hotel's fantastic service more than made up for it. The hotel's interior design is simply stunning. Every aspect of the decor exudes elegance and sophistication. The attention to detail is evident, and it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the premises. The architecture and furnishings are tastefully chosen, providing a luxurious and comfortable ambiance for guests. One of the highlights of this hotel is undoubtedly the breathtaking view. Unfortunately, I encountered some bad luck with the weather during my stay, which limited my ability to fully enjoy the surroundings. However, even through the mist and rain, I could sense the beauty that lay beyond the hotel's windows. I can only imagine how magical it would be on a clear day. The service at this hotel is truly exceptional. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every interaction, making the stay truly enjoyable. breakfast was simply delicious! The array of options available was impressive, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. this hotel left a lasting impression on me. The well-designed interiors, the mesmerizing view (even through the rain), the exceptional service, and the mouthwatering breakfast made my stay truly remarkable. If you're looking for a hotel that combines elegance, comfort, and impeccable service, this is the place to be.

Location The hotel is centrally located in Interlaken. Interlaken Ost train station is about an 8-minute walk away, and a bus stop is just about 100 meters away. This is very convenient for excursions in the region. Room The room was beautifully decorated in an appealing Baroque style, making it cozy and elegant. We also received a nice upgrade to a room with a balcony, which made our stay more pleasant. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a drawback: the silicone joints in the shower showed mold. This is unacceptable in a 4-star hotel. Staff / Reception At check-in, Pierre truly impressed us: he was very friendly, professional, courteous, and service-oriented. The rest of the staff was generally attentive and friendly but sometimes seemed a bit unsure and not always entirely competent. Language skills were an issue: German is only spoken to a limited extent, and Swiss German not at all, which sometimes complicated communication. Breakfast The breakfast, unfortunately, was very disappointing and did not match the quality expected of a 4-star hotel. • There was no declaration or allergen labeling for the food. • The products offered seemed cheap and stale: scrambled eggs from a carton, hard pretzels from the day before, and pastries and bread that were consistently low-quality frozen goods. On the positive side, the reception actively asked for our feedback after breakfast. After our honest comments, something was brought to our room as an apology. Unfortunately, this included some already moldy berries, which negated the good gesture. Overall Impression Despite the beautiful central location, the generally very nice room with a balcony upgrade, and especially Pierre's outstanding service, our stay was overall disappointing. The mold in the shower joints and the low-quality breakfast left a negative impression. For the price and star category, we would have expected significantly more cleanliness and quality. Therefore, we would not recommend this hotel.

The location is great, close to the bus stop and also near the CLOY lake in Iseltwald. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the heater works perfectly. The owner was very welcoming. Excellent!

Thank you Mr Jean-Louis for your generosity and hospitality! It’s nice meeting you in person. Hotel Rossli is clean and comfy, located strategically close to train and bus stops. They also give to us Visitors Card through our stay (doesn’t need further validation, but just hop on and hop off the public transport within the inclusive area which was explained clearly to us during check in) which even covers the public transport to visit St Beatus Waterfall and Isewald for “Steg Crash Landing on You” viewpoint and Brienzersee Lakewalk, The location also made it easy for us to travel to both Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Can’t believe we could manage to visit so many places with just a 2 nights stay. The hotel is also within walking distance to nearby grocery stores. Last but not least, the hotel also provides common/shared kitchen with microwave oven and unlimited coffee and teas! And there are many many TV channels, even more TV channels than usual 4 or 5 stars hotels. All in all, highly recommend. Would come back and stay again 😊

Great Value & Perfect Base for Interlaken – Hotel Essential by DORITStayed at Hotel Essential by DORIT, it was exactly what we needed for exploring Interlaken.Location: 10/10. You’re 3 min walk from Interlaken West station and right by Lake Thun. Super easy to catch trains to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, or hop on a boat cruise. Tons of restaurants, Coop, and cafés within a 5 min walk. You can’t beat it for convenience.Room: Clean, modern, and smartly designed. We had a Double Room and it made great use of space — comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and a surprisingly good shower with strong water pressure. Not huge, but perfect for travelers who are out all day. The views of the mountains from upper floors are a bonus.Cleanliness: Spotless. Housekeeping did a great job daily, and the whole property feels fresh and new. Breakfast: Simple but quality. Good coffee, fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and fruit. The breakfast room is small but cozy, with big windows. For the price, it’s more than fair. Service: Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly + efficient. They gave solid tips for hikes and printed our train tickets when we asked. The self-check-in kiosk is also handy if you arrive late.Vibe: Minimalist Swiss design with a boutique feel. No pool or spa, but that’s not why you stay here — you’re here to be out in the Jungfrau region all day. The common lounge area is great for planning routes or chilling with a coffee.Minor notes: Walls are a bit thin — we could hear doors closing at night. Also no elevator, so pack light if you’re on a higher floor. Street parking is limited, but the hotel helped us sort a public lot nearby.Overall: For the location, cleanliness, and price point, Hotel Essential by DORIT is hard to beat in Interlaken. It’s unpretentious, modern, and lets you spend your money on experiences instead of the room. Beautiful environment, ideal location, convenient transportation, great breakfast, warm indoor environment, and kettle. You can see the green mountains outside the window, and you can fall asleep to the sound of water at night, which is very comfortable!

We expected a bad experience when we looked at the Google review but was pleasantly surprised by the actual room presented to us. We had a quadruple room and saw a near-new bathroom, in contrast of the photos we saw on Google review. Apart from the bathroom, the room itself is a bit of a disappointment, the one of the bed frames were faulty and one of us had to sleep with her hips lowered to the floor. And the other facilities were outdated, but they were at least clean. Our overall experience was pleasant, but similar to most things in Switzerland, the price was a little steep, but probably one of the cheaper hotels in the area.
