The surrounding environment is good, there is a river in front, the scenery is very good, but the price is not beautiful here, the actual facilities are guest house level

The hotel owner was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast was great and she made an effort to fill up the items during the breakfast always. The room was nice, the hot water and pressure were perfect and everything in the room worked very well. We booked the room Church View for 3 nights and it was not just the view but the church bells rang every hour and two even at night. Earlier we thought it was every hour but no it was more often than that.

This is not a hotel, it is an OK guest house. Do not confuse it with the Hotel Steinbock up the road in Lauterbrunnen.
That said, having seen the number of people in Lauterbrunnen, we were grateful for staying at this guest house. Location on the edge of Wilderswil next to the river is really pleasant. There is a church at one end of the hotel whose bell does ring through the night, but we did not find this disturbed my sleep. There were very few dining / bar options on Wilderswil on a Tuesday in September. We found Luna Piccante to be a nice restaurant 10mins from the guest house.

This was a last minute addition to our 1-week travel in Switzerland and a stopover before the long drive to Munich. Great location away from the busy main road and an interesting access via bridge over the river. Parking was no issue. We got in late as we made the detour to Montreaux and it was an easy self check-in via simple email instructions. The room was in the upper level with no lift but we managed to drag our belongings up. Big room with nice bed and bathroom. Then we opened the window and it was facing the church and cemetry. We had a shock. Thought we had booked a room with a garden view. The other issue was the constant toiling of the church bell through the night. But we managed to get through after some adjustments. WiFi coverage was good and so was the breakfast spread. Overall a great experience and happy to have spent time exploring the nearby places of interest.

Liked · Well, it's actually a nice place to stay. The house is old being kept in classic swiss style, good equiped. Price-quality ratio is high in comparison to local prices. Good breakfast and the staff doing a good job if meaning the cleanliness. There's a free parking and a lot of sightseeing options around like the waterfall in Lauterbrunnen and others. Disliked · The bed and the pillows were very hard, but it's not what brought us to reduce the overall score. The thing is it may look like we had something in common with the host, could speak the same language etc. but you definetely should avoid talking politics with your guests and ruin even a bit their vacation, especially if you can't realize all the things such aspects and facts, just control your emotions. Leave these talks and pray for good, in the end there will be a right solution.

Unique thing is that the hotel is manage by a simple, humble, and accomodating family.
Bus and train station is just 3mins walk from the hotel, which is connects to all other tourist attraction sites.
Bridge/river view is coooL!
Breakfast presentation is awesome like a five-star hotel.
At first, the nearby cemetery is somewhat freaky but it does looK attractive/unique too.
I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I'll had another chance to visit switzerland 👌.

Whilst our room was lovely & located in a beautiful village the host/manager treated us very poorly. He was unpleasant, unhelpful & rude. I have not experienced such rudeness before on our many travels & would not return if he was still there.
