New Hotels in Melaka

"This hotel just opened two months ago, right by the sea near Portuguese Settlement. I didn't have high expectations initially, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is backed by the ocean, and there's a clean, beautiful pool right in the courtyard. The breakfast was rich and clean – especially the bread, which clearly wasn't pre-made, and the fruit was super fresh. It felt much more genuine than some of the five-star hotels in downtown Kuala Lumpur! Even at 9 or 10 PM, you could still order food from the hotel restaurant, and the quality here was genuinely high compared to outside options. This morning, the hotel even had a lion dance performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. The hotel manager really pays attention to service details, which is absolutely essential for a great hotel. Having a fresh, high-quality breakfast in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, and you can even swim in the pool after coming back at night. A Grab taxi to Jonker Street is only about 8-10 RM away. It's very quiet at night, with a gentle sea breeze and the pool. It reminded us of beautiful places we'd traveled to before and even brought back memories of my partner's hometown. Because of this, we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Highly recommend everyone to stay here! (The only minor thing to note is that the air conditioning in the rooms can be a bit noisy. Hopefully, they can improve this. It gets quite warm at night, so you need the AC, and it would be great if it didn't blow directly on you.) 1) The room cleanliness and linens were excellent; the towels were tumble-dried, and the sheets were neatly ironed. 2) The staff were warm and friendly. 3) The environment was outstanding, quiet, and beautiful. 4) The breakfast was exquisite and clean. The chicken sausage was the only one with a normal texture among the seven or eight hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia. The à la carte restaurant didn't disappoint either; you could tell the watermelon juice was fresh (many places serve overnight juice). Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made our vacation wonderful. If we ever return to Malacca, The Lisbon Malacca will definitely be our top choice."

"Since we were arriving late and staying only a few nights, I choose this hotel due to it’s location at one end of Jonker Street. Location was as described and best of all, the actual rooms were in the back of the hotel (reception was the front side facing the street), so we had restful nights / no excessive noise from the street. In the lobby there was also a water fountain with filtered hot and cold water. The room itself was pretty big but basic an clean. There was a kettle, 2 bottles of water, 2 sachet of coffee, a desk area with chair and mirror, a rack to hang clothes and 1 side had a night stand. But please note there was no TV. We don’t really watch television while traveling so it was not an issue but it might be for some. Only slight downsides was the aircon was not that strong but and the water in the shower never really heated up that much."

"Spacious room with partial sea view. Staff very friendly, particularly want to commend front door staff, always help with opening door and luggage. Bedding is comfortable, and bathroom is spacious. A few things need to be mindful of: 1. There is a step when entering the room 2. Shower area is not enclosed and shower head holder can’t be adjusted, so water may splash around 3. The corridor door is half opened, need to be careful as may bump onto people when turning Otherwise, a pleasant stay, quite like our room. :)"

"Weak Wi-Fi. The bathtub is old and plastic, while taking shower standing in it feels like it’s gonna break! Their windows haven’t been replaced in ages, really dirty, and they leak—traffic noise kept me up all night from bedtime till morning. Hot water, kettle, and AC can’t run at the same time; power tripped three times in one night. But honestly, the staff are awesome—super quick to help, really friendly, and the front desk is great. Just wish the facilities were actually decent… really hope they fix this stuff soon."

"Well... the location is great. You couldn't find a more central or romantic place to stay. The room is also kind of cozy, definitely old-school. Great view of the river. The owner is incredibly nice. But... We booked 36 square meters. The room was 16 square meters plus a small bathroom without hot water... Taking off your shoes at the front door and walking barefoot through the house is also a matter of personal taste. The offerings urgently need to be revised. And the price is too high for what you get. But still, I'd recommend it for the right kind of renter. But I wouldn't book it again... Too quirky. Too expensive. And far too many barriers throughout the house. The toilet is designed for short people."

"The front counter staff were very kind, polite, and helpful when asked about where to park. There is a Coway water dispenser downstairs. The room is spacious and suitable for 3 adults, clean, and towels are provided. The only downside is that the water pressure is a bit slow. The hotel area is very close to Jonker Walk and convenient for walking around."

"Please speed up the check-in process by simplifying the steps for the online form. The operator who handled check-in was very helpful."

"definitely a pleasant stay, very recomended for family and friends group. very convenience. got cooking utensils( which are rare bcs most hotel snd rooms didnt prepare), got iron and board. very spacious, beds are comfy, suitable for staycation bcs they provide netflix and the pools are nice. most important they show the kiblat. the view are sooooooo breath taking. love it so much. will book again 💋"

"The unit is clean and the view from the building is good as well especially the top level swimming pool floor. The view is amazing. The only things is the location is residential area, no convenient store nearby and only one access card. Otherwise is satisfied. Will recommend."
