Guest UserThis is an excellent place to stay. Overall, the location is good, but walking back at night along the dark, unlit streets isn't very comfortable as the hotel is set back from the main roads. We rented a motorbike from the hotel for 350 pesos. It's generally hard to get around Moalboal without a bike; you need one to reach the beaches, waterfalls, shops, and cafes. The traffic isn't heavy and is predictable, so even a novice rider would find it comfortable. You can order breakfast or food delivery at the hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and exactly as pictured on the website; our stay was very comfortable. It has everything you need: shampoo, soap, a refrigerator, a chest of drawers, and a clothes hanger. Coffee, hot, and cold water are always available. There's a clean swimming pool on the property. The hotel owners are incredibly kind; they helped us with ferry information for leaving Oslob and how to get to Oslob by bus. Thank you so much for such a cozy place đ

DzhentaoThe hotel is located on a private island. Getting there isn't too difficult, but all the main attractions (sardines, sharks, canyoneering) are quite a distance away. This hotel seems to have been designed for guests who don't want to leave it â a small 'Bounty island' vibe. But it didn't quite hit the mark.
The staff here are constantly smiling. As soon as they see you, they drop what they're doing to greet you. During meals, they approach you every minute to ask questions and tell you about the free 'entertainment' planned for the day. Honestly, it's annoying and doesn't match the status the hotel clearly aims for. In a good hotel, staff are incredibly helpful yet discreet. Here, they can't even clean the room without being noticed. However, you can tell they've been trained this way, rather than it being their natural work style. So, if they were trained differently, these young people would significantly improve the service quality.
Also, don't expect quick responses or help from anyone. It's better to go directly to reception and sort things out yourself. That's the most effective way, otherwise, you might drown in a Kafkaesque castle with a British surrealist twist.
The room we stayed in was magnificent in terms of size and cleanliness. The shower wasn't working well, but they replaced it quickly. When walking around the room, the wardrobe wobbles and makes noise, but these are minor issues. I noticed signs of wood-boring insects in the safe cabinet, but didn't see the insects themselves, so they didn't cause any trouble.
Food. The food here is very poor, compared to all the other places I've visited in the Philippines. A hotel aiming for a high rating shouldn't be serving microwaved store-bought pizza at such a price. If the food is cooked properly (grilled chicken breast, for example), it's invariably oversalted or overspiced. Or both at once. I couldn't find a single dish on the menu that was worth its price or genuinely tasty, except perhaps for the scrambled eggs at breakfast. But that's not enough if you plan to stay on the island all day, is it?
Snorkeling costs 1000 pesos per hour for the boat and 100-200 pesos for equipment (each item separate: mask, fins, aqua shoes). The hotel staff claim the equipment is new, but that's not true. Aqua shoes are essentially unavailable in adult sizes (from 40 and up, we found only two old and torn pairs). The coral reef is dying after the typhoon, but there are still beautiful spots, and my wife and I don't regret snorkeling here. Especially since it was the only activity available on the island.
To sum up, this hotel might suit those who want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world for a resort-style vacation with an average level of service but rather high prices for that level.

Vadzim VerasauWe stayed at Cebu Hotel Plus and were very pleased. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was good. We especially enjoyed the food: delicious chicken, pasta, and a varied buffet breakfast. It's a great value for money option. If we return to Cebu, we would gladly choose this hotel again.

Guest UserThe island was beautiful and we really loved the place. However, I was disappointed with the drone policy. Even though I already had a permit, drone flying was only allowed in one specific area, which did not feel safe because it was surrounded by water. It would be better to provide safer and more flexible flying locations for visitors with approved permits.

SeaDaddySixMarco Polo Plaza, Cebu Review
Here is a two-paragraph review that balances the atmosphere of the hotel with the quality of the service:
We had a wonderful stay at the Marco Polo Plaza. The hotel offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the views from the Nivel Hills are absolutely stunning. Our room was clean, spacious, and provided the perfect environment for a relaxing getaway.
What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly professional and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. From the delicious breakfast buffet to the well-maintained pool area, everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning!

Guest UserOverall good experience with Tsai. It's located in the city center near the Cebu IT Park. You can just ride a jeep going to Ayala Terminal where you can ride the bus going to Tops and it's also accessible to malls and restaurants. Our room also has a balcony which is super nice

Guest UserThe room smelled of cigarettes, probably from the old air conditioning. The hotel is very old and rundown, but if you're looking for something cheap for one night, it's okay. The beds are comfortable, and there's a supermarket and various attractions nearby.

Thea SonI like that it is clean and has enough space for my things. The staff was nice. Only downside is that it is a bit far from the airport.

VeeerI like how the hotel receptionist are warm and welcoming. The room is also clean and spacious. A suggestion is that there should be a slipper and towel for guest. And bell should be alert whenever there are guest arriving specially if they have many and heavy things because when we arrive for check in it was just us ladies who pushed the cart and mind you it has stairs to enter the front desk. A little kindness wonât hurt. Overall place was nice just put effort on customer service. That would really help.

The reception was already unfriendly. The bungalow was relatively poorly equipped, the remote control for the air conditioning was faulty, low water pressure in the shower, no pool towels, no toiletries apart from a microscopic bar of soap. The view of the countryside was beautiful, but we had already enjoyed it extensively on our three-hour drive from Dalaguete. The grilled fish was killed twice, once by the fisherman's hand and once by its stay in the freezer for several months. The vegetable soup tasted of nothing, actually, just like the fish, inedible. We were not asked for drinks and the water, which we were allowed to fetch ourselves from a dispenser, was a good 30° warm. There were no other guests, the musicless dinner, bathed in the glaring light of the CCTV, gave the impression of a graveyard - completely desolate. We were charged 1200 pesos for this outrage. The impression of poor gastronomic service continued seamlessly at breakfast and culminated in the impertinence of wanting to charge 50 pesos for a second cup of coffee. We had booked for three nights and paid 21.1 Kpesos. I've never had worse value for money in seven months in the Philippines! After the first night, we packed our bags and left the resort. I will refrain from praising the beautiful pool or the great view due to the miserable overall performance. No recommendation.
