We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Stumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!

This was my first time visiting Wuyi Mountain, the home of Oolong and Dahongpao tea. It was also my first time staying at a guesthouse, and from the moment I arrived, I was able to slowly savor and sample different teas, which was very relaxing. On the second day, the owner also recommended a show and sightseeing spots, and shared a lot of knowledge about tea. My three-day, two-night stay was very enjoyable. I even managed to buy various excellent teas, and I'm very satisfied. If I get the chance, I'd love to visit again during the new tea season.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, just a minor issue with the showerhead holder being a bit loose. Everything else was perfect. The environment is quiet and peaceful, and the breakfast was abundant and delicious. I would choose to stay here again when I visit Wuyi Mountain.

The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room. On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests. The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests. Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home. Traveling with a young couple for a family visit, I had to choose a hotel with a unique ambiance and excellent service. I was extremely satisfied with my choice. This time, I booked two rooms: one standard and one with a king-sized bed. The king-sized room had a larger bay window and felt quite spacious. The standard room had a tatami mat, which was clean and cozy. The narcissus provided in the room, prepared as a cold brew tea, was absolutely delicious! In the morning, the buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh dishes. I especially recommend the desserts – the lemon pudding melted in my mouth. The Dahongpao tea jelly and black tea drinks were also excellent. Enjoying breakfast while gazing at the Chongyang River and the sprawling Wuyi Mountains along its banks was truly invigorating! The dining environment was perfectly suitable. The public areas also showed great attention to detail, with plenty of spots to rest or simply relax, offering beautiful scenery both indoors and out. Although the tea room requires a reservation, there was always an available tea room. The environment is lovely, with various styles to choose from. You can take photos or simply unwind right at the hotel, no need to look for another place.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

The hotel's hardware details are thoughtfully designed, with effective blackout curtains in the rooms and instant hot water. The public amenities are comprehensive; after exploring Wuyi Mountain, it was great to relax in the gym or do laundry and drying, which made the trip much more convenient. The facilities definitely deserve five stars.

The hotel is excellently located. Local buses are readily available to take you to the south gate to the Wuyishan and best of all, the ride is FREE. The night show called Impressions Da Hong Pau is a short walk away. Also, the night markert was just behind the hotel.The staff were helpful and friendly and willing to help with my inquiries. The room had a smokey smell when we first arrived but eventually the smell went away. The bed was comfortable and the room offered everything we needed. .

Five-star rating for the front desk and lobby staff – they were incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel's location and surroundings are also great. However, the pool opening hours are too late. My kids were really looking forward to the pool, but it doesn't open until 3 PM, so we completely missed out. Also, the breakfast area was stifling hot; it's just not right to not have air conditioning on in this weather.
