PPockyBackpackThis hotel is located off the main road, requiring a short drive on a dirt path up a hill. On clear days, you can enjoy a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. All the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Since I was traveling alone, the hotel thoughtfully adjusted the hotpot portion to suit one person — which I really appreciated — and it was absolutely delicious. Every room offers a view of the snowy mountains. The in-room amenities are of high quality, the room is cozy and comfortably warm, and the size is just right — not too big or small. My favorite part, though, was the hotel’s common area, especially during sunset when the snow mountains turn red. The staff even invited me to step outside and take photos, which was so sweet of them. The next morning, I had to leave early, but breakfast normally starts late. Still, the staff kindly prepared an early breakfast just for me. Overall, the service mindset here is truly impressive, and the hotel’s common area is stunning — a paradise for photography lovers, with countless beautiful spots for pictures.

KKoHKxxThis is a fantastic hotel run by tibetans in Tagong! The location is less than 10 min walk from Tagong gompa where public buses and shared taxis are available. Between the gompa and the hotel, you can find some ******* or Sichuan restaurants. The facility is quite decent and well maintained. Especially, ******* decoration is awesome. Also, staff members are quite helpful. Though they don't speak English, they took care of me ranging from transportation to food.

They even recommended many delicious restaurants to us, and we didn't miss out on any of them! The front desk staff were very friendly and professional, the breakfast was plentiful, and staff arranged parking as soon as we arrived at the door. Overall, it was a great experience!

GGuest UserFor a hotel at this price point (around 500), the cleanliness, facilities, and overall environment were quite good. However, the service quality was genuinely subpar. While the front desk and housekeeping services were commendable, the breakfast and its service were utterly disappointing for a hotel in this price range. And the hotel's description even boasts 'delicious breakfast'?! I find that hard to believe! Just look at the pictures – there were only a few steamed buns available. Is that really all? Not even basic items like noodles or fruit were offered. But that's not even the main issue. The hotel explicitly states breakfast is served until 9:30 AM. So going at 8:40 AM should be perfectly fine, right? Yet, by 8:45 AM, they were already announcing they were packing up. And the service attitude, particularly from one male staff member, genuinely made me feel terrible. We're staying at a hotel, not here to be lectured! Even if there's no more food being served, there's no need to constantly yell about closing down the entire time! It truly makes me question if Ctrip's quality has plummeted to this extent. What's more, the price through Ctrip was actually tens of RMB higher than expected. Does that mean anyone who books through Ctrip is essentially getting a raw deal?

GGuest UserThe B&B is right next to 318, but not on the highway. Instead, it is in a yard a few dozen meters back from the highway. There are a few houses in front of it, which just blocks the noise from passing cars on 318. Parking is easy, almost all rooms face the distant mountain view, and the rooms on the first floor are not damp at all and have no odor. The appearance of the homestay is unremarkable, but the rooms are eye-catching: 1. The standard rooms are large enough, with bright windows, blackout curtains, and rich three-dimensional light sources. 2. Very clean and tidy. 3. The bathroom is spacious, with dry and wet areas separated. Two people can take a bath at the same time. The hand sanitizer is much more convenient than a piece of soap. There is plenty of hot water, and they thoughtfully provide free disposable toilet seats. 4. There are many sockets in the room, enough for two people to use various electronic devices. The ******* proprietress is friendly and enthusiastic. The restaurant is on the third floor and the kitchen is very clean and tidy. The prepared breakfast includes butter tea, porridge, steamed buns, pickles, and eggs. It is quite pleasant to sit by the window and eat breakfast while enjoying the scenery outside. Having written so much, it seems that I am really satisfied.

GGuest UserI booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive. So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city. The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones. I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information. One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C! The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.

The underfloor heating was incredibly warm – I didn't feel cold at all! The guesthouse hostess was incredibly warm and friendly. I'm usually a bit introverted, but her proactive greeting made me feel completely at ease. For breakfast, she served homemade porridge, eggs, steamed buns, and twisted rolls. The steamed sweet potatoes were exceptionally soft, tender, and sweet – so delicious I almost asked her where she bought them! Next time I'm in Kangding, I'll definitely stay here again!
