"Very satisfied. The facilities were excellent, even providing a steam iron. The staff was very friendly. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Los Angeles and have already recommended it to friends. I had a few concerns: would my deposit be fully refunded? Would the hotel be quiet enough for a good night's sleep? Is the area safe? I received my deposit back in full within two days of check-out. The hotel is surrounded by streets on all sides, so you can definitely hear some street noise, but at night it's actually very quiet. Starting around 5:00 a.m., there's some traffic noise, but it's not a loud noise. The hotel also has quiet hours at night, which helped me sleep well. During my stay, I felt the neighborhood was very safe and the location was great. There's a bus stop nearby, making it very convenient for getting around."

"Everything is good! Staffs are very nice! Breakfast is freshly made! Pancake machine works properly because I stayed in other locations and it usually didn’t work. I think they do well on hygiene as every pastry is wrapped individually. Just one thing needed further improvement is WiFi. It’s weird that we had several devices but only 2 could be connected to WiFi. After all, we are satisfied about staying here! We will come back if by any chance!"

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on Expedia. But we didn't book through Expedia, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

First and foremost, the hotel's proximity to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a major advantage. It's a mere 10-minute drive away, which made it incredibly convenient for someone like me who had to catch an early morning flight. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and welcoming. The lobby area is clean, modern, and well-designed, creating a favorable first impression. I stayed in a standard room, and it was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra pillows provided. The room had a decent view and was adequately spacious for a solo traveler. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site restaurant, The Bistro. The food was surprisingly good, and they offered a variety of options for breakfast and dinner. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and provided excellent service. However, I found the prices a bit on the higher side. The fitness center was well-equipped, and I was able to maintain my workout routine during my stay. The hotel also has a small outdoor pool, although I didn't have the chance to use it during my stay. The only downside to my experience was the noise level in the hallways and adjacent rooms. Thin walls seemed to allow sound to carry, which made it a bit difficult to sleep when there were noisy neighbors. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was a bit slow at times, which could be frustrating if you're trying to get work done. Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne is a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience near the airport. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent dining options make it a comfortable place to stay. However, improvements in soundproofing and Wi-Fi speed would enhance the overall experience.

Rooms: Recently renovated, quiet (great soundproofing), and very comfortable. Amenities: Multiple dining options, friendly staff, and a heated outdoor pool. Highly recommended for a reliable and comfortable airport stopover.

Nice outside pool in the third floor. Rooms were not too cramped. Restaurant and bar in the ground floor. Not much else around the hotel walking distance other than a few gas stations, car rentals, and a starbucks.
