Hotels near Nakabashi Bridge, Takayama City

This has to be the best hotel to stay in Takayama for new travellers who have never been to Takayama. The hotel is just opposite the train and bus station. Its unique artitecture make it impossible to miss. The hotel is old as it’s built in 1990s but it’s cozy. The onsen is comfortable and the local breakfast is definitely value for money and good to include. I also love the room with the old school buttons conventionally located. Bed is comfortable and heater works. It’s also not hard to find food and sourvenir shops as they are just below and around the neighbourhood. You can easily access fast food like McDonald or head to old town for traditional food. I will suggest you visit the 2nd street located near McDonald and the supermarket there as things are much cheaper. Overall I love my stay in Washington Takayama as a new traveller to the town.

We love this hotel.. I really like Takayama unfortunately I stayed only 1 N as a stopover. We will visit again. The only issues is i do prefer high floor.. and was given 2nd but since we only stay for 1nite .. I did not change. Will visit again. Did not have time to check out other part of the facilities. We ordered dinner and breakfast with accommodation.. the dinner was excellent . Breakfast spread is great.. lots of choices. Service is excellent in the restaurant.

It's our best decision made to stay here for our trip to Hida Takayama. We love the place, the people, the food and the details provided by the Roykan. The women only onsen next door is very special with edo period deco. We were glad to have spent the time there. We look forward to staying here again when we go to Hida Takayama next time.

We stayed at Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama Musubinoyu for 2 nights, and it was the best accommodation of our entire Japan trip. The hotel is cosy, lovely, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The location is excellent, with easy access to the train station, shops, and restaurants. The onsen was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the relaxing foot bath. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, with a great selection to start the day. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Takayama.

Amazing place. It's a must visit for at least one night, but better for 2. Traditional style cozy room with a balcony and personal hot spring bath with an incredible view. You get dineer and breakfast with a vast variety of food to try. Service is outstanding. Staff speaks english, there are guides in your room on how to behave in such places and how to get the best experience from staying Don't forget to book a shuttle from the station 1 day prior and back to the station when you get here Overall 10/10

The accommodation looks like an old Japanese-style house. The room downstairs has a Japanese-style fireplace, but unfortunately I saw it when I left, so I didn't take a picture. The room was on the upper floor of the house. I slept comfortably and was quiet. I felt fully rested. The bathroom is downstairs, you have to walk up and down. The shower room is switched between men and women and closes at 22.00. It's a pity that I wanted to try the outdoor type, but at that time it was the men's bathroom. The water in the bath smelled quite a bit of chlorine. The accommodation might have encountered insects (I saw that it was written, but we went and didn't encounter any). The air conditioner can be turned on, but the temperature must be high because if it's low, it will become a heater. The air conditioner is a bit loud. There is both a heater and an air conditioner in the room. I'm not sure if it works, but I turned it on because I'm not used to the lack of ventilation. The mattress is okay, not too thin. The pillow has pellets. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep. After sleeping for a while, I slept well. There is a parking lot behind the accommodation. There is enough parking, but we parked in front of the accommodation. The way up to the accommodation is very steep. If you're not a strong driver, you might get hit. Be careful or have a skilled driver drive up. This accommodation should be suitable for people who drive around by themselves.

The location is strategic, and the place is very comfortable and clean

The rooms at Wat Hotel & Spa are spacious and comfortable, featuring well-appointed bathrooms with excellent shower facilities. The hotel's onsen, located on the top floor, is a true highlight. The private onsen is available on a first-come, first-served basis, offering a relaxing and intimate experience. Simply lock the door, and the space is yours to enjoy. The hotel is also family-friendly, with a fun touch – guests can help themselves to a complimentary popsicle after their bath. All the essential amenities are provided, including combs, soap, shampoo, and comfortable bathrobes, readily available in the lobby. My stay at the Wat Hotel & Spa Hida Takayama was truly rejuvenating, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting this charming town.

Very nice place to stay and feel Japanese style room. I like fee ramen and ice cream the most!
